  1. Hello

first of all congratulations on your baby!

I was at the same situation as you, out of status, no ssn and no insurance it was stressful at first but we were able to buy a health plan through Health Market Place for myself and I applied for emergency medicaid which covered the birth and the most expensive part of pregnancy.

That won’t affect your adjustment of status.

    Good luck!

  2. Hello everyone!

I got to America a month ago on a K1 visa, we'll get marry in the following two weeks.

My sister is also getting married in October the weeding will be in Colombia. Is there any chance at all that me and my fiancé can go out of the country for a week to be in the wedding?

I read there's a form to fill to go out of the country, how long does it take?

Thank you very much, have a good day ?

  3. Well thank you David, I'll check on servientrega like you said those are some really expensive meds and at my eps only gave me two months and will give me the rest on September, so I had to buy one month myself.

I can leave a copy of the prescription to my mom and shell send me the rest. Thank you.

And that's such a entertaining tv show, it gives me a little bit of nerves to go there ?

  4. Avoid Atlanta at all cost got it!

My fiance insist that I should make my first stop in MiAmi but we couldn't find a good flight there, we got lucky!

Well everything is ready here. Tomorrow I'll flight on JetBlue to FLL then at night the spirit airlines to Myrtle beach.

I'm carrying lots of pills! I won't they won't think I'm gonna sell them there ??

Around 700 pills for three months

  5. As soon as the package from the NVC got to the embassy we paid the visa fee and filled the Ds160

We were ready and we thought the packege from the embassy wouldn't take long at all

And it did, almost a month so I tell you be patient and wait for the lackege; don't buy any flight or scheduled with the doctor till you get it first.

That would be your green light to complete the process.

    Good luck to ya'll ??

  6. Oh thats good, I feel much better about going to that airport now, at first it was like a nightmare we wanted to avoid at all cost because everyone said that was the worst airport in America. I think I'll be fine, or at least better than I expected.

And yes the CAS for the finger prints definitely work on Saturday. Btw I took one picture where I look "good" and the lady receive it instead of taking it there and look super bad.

  7. Living in Monteria :)

We now have the NVC case number and starting the D160. Do you know how much time do we need to spend in Bogota to get medical and labs in addition to Biometrics and interview? We also have an 11 year boy who will be applying for K2 on the same application.

Okay well I had a few issues, because I had the same timeline with a girl from Bogota and another one from Cali when our case at the same time to the NVC but mine went to Processing Administrative and thats when I got behind them, so for them took like two days in NVC and then sent to the embassy, then for the embassy to send the email wirh the instructions it took like 3 or 4 weeks, so no rush in filling the Ds 160 or paying the fee

You can do everything in three days I would say, first day laboratory and in the afternoon see the doctor and next day finger prints and the third day do the interview.

If you like you can add me on whatsapp and I'll explain better.

I bought a checked bag on spirit airlines for $32 I cannot go over 18 kgs.. I'll check that out when I'm at the airport here in Cali

  8. I think JetBlue is a good airline and that's the one I'll be using from Bogota to FLL but sadley they don't flight to Myrtle Beach that is the city I'm going, so the only one was Spirit Airlines, I'll switch airlines getting there.

I never heard of Lake Greenwood, my fiance says is only 3:30 away and that is really nice and beautiful. Are you already in NY or still in the process?

    Have a good day ?

  9. Wait at least two - three weeks to start calling the NVC they usually take their time. Be patient ??

Today is 54 days after my noa2 approval. I am still waiting on California to mail my application to the NVC. I was told by USCIS last week the more I call or request information it slows the process. Mind you I only started to question after 35 days of nothing.

It's very frustrating to see people that started after me already having interviews.

Be ready to wait, but surprised if it happens quickly.

Wow really? That's wait too much! What did they say to you?
