My husband's passport will expired this month and thinking I have to submit his biograpical page of his passport....I got concerned for i dont know if NVC accepts expired passport or he have to renew his passport??? Does anyone here knows???? Thanks in advance!!!

About the biographic page....My husbands passport is only valid up to this month....CAn I send that together with the DS-230. Will the NVC accept it?????

I dont want to keep my hopes up to high for its really frustrating to just sit in here and wait in vain to see what will happen next (just in case I really did miss sending a document but i doubt it!!!) .....But Im so delighted to know that Im not the only one there that got the same reply once they checked the NVC regarding their I-864 and still everything turned out fine. I'm so very much relieved. Thank you guys!!!

I forgot to to mention that Im doing IR-1 and I already sent my I-864 to the NVC does this means that I have to make another set for his interview!!!!

Im just curious about the Affidavit of Support.......Do I have to obtain and send himanother set of Affidavit of Support before his interview so he could present it to the consul in Manila or the NVC will forward the I-864 directly to the Consulate in manila??? Just a little confused!

When I was doing our CR1 I got this same message off of the lines. I called and talked to a lady and she lol and said I was fine. It was our DS 230 was not showing as received. It goes to another agency and it was not missing. Good luck and hope this is your case as well.

Thanks for the very fast reply....I think Ive read it here somewhere about that but not sure why they are leaving a very misleading messages like that. It will sure breaks one's heart to hear that they overlooked something esp. if they dreaded to get this document and was all prepare to send it back to NVC. And again thanks for the encouragement....The support on this forum is really amazing!!!

Do you really have to present your passport and your birth certificate as a petitioner???

I just checked the status of the I-864 I submitted for my husband and to my dismay i found out that they mailed a letter informing me of a missing/incomplete document. I'm so disappointed for I have those documents ready like the W-2's, the tax form for the last 3 years im working, the paystubs and the the letter to go along with that from my employers, long before my husbands I-130 had been approved. I dont know whats missing Im trying to talk with someone in NVC but to no avail its telling me the operators are always busy and was always dropping my call. Whats the best time to call this guys so I could talk to one of them??? I just send them the $385 for the Visa Bill, and was waiting for the D-230. I am hoping to get that letter soon enough before I get the D-230 so I could get what ever document ( If ever I missed one!!! ) they need.

Im keeping my fingers crossed that my husband could get here before the Christmas season starts!!!

I've been visiting this site for quite sometime now. I found it really helpful and very informative. Hope I could make some friends over here while waiting for my husband to come here in the U.S. Can somebody please add me to the list. Too bad there's not too many of us here that are doing CR/IR-1. Is there anyone here knows how much time do i have to wait till he gets here. Im still waiting for them to send the Immigrant Visa Fee Bill it was been generated last May 1st and was still waiting for that one too!!! I know its really hard to tell cause there's nobody here i could compare my case to! Guess I'll just sit here and wait some more!
