My wife is returning to mexico to visit her family and we are wondering what name we should get her plane tickets in. Passport has her maiden name and the green card has her married name.

Thanks, we went to appointment and everything went well. We forgot one original birth certificate and a certified copy of my divorce decree. She said it shouldnt be a problem but she had to check with the supervisor. So now we are just waiting again for an answer.

I am in portland MI and we had our interview yesterday. Take a look at our timeline and that should give you an idea

i was kinda in the same situation, I missed a complete year of income because i was living in mexico with my GF (now wife). anyways i wrote a letter to go with my affidavit of support, I also used a co-sponsor (just-in-case) anyways we had no problem and when we applied for my wife's adjustment of status i had enough income in the first 5 months to show sufficient support income. so the letter in my opinion is a good idea just to explain the situation. Thanks for the responses. So this morning i call the uscis because the timelines say they are working on nov. (2016)(detroit office) but the employee at uscis said they are working on nov. (2016). Now i am confused even more....arrgh!! Does anyone have any insight to help me know whats up? Anyone recently been processed through detroit?

So we filed for adjustment of status on 10/17/16 from Grand rapids,Michigan, When i look at processing times what field office should i be looking at? where i sent my papers or the closest one to me?

So we were married on a K1 visa and are going through the AOS process. We had one RFE due to a mistake on household size. we have since returned the form with the correct information. My question is the website now says "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". Does this mean we have made it through the RFE stage now? Does "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" mean there will be an interview, or could we still not have to do one? and originally we sent our paperwork to Chicago but our RFE went to Missouri, Did our case get transfered? Does anyone knows what all this means? thank you in advance for any insight. 

Yup, the same with us. it looks as if we had a mistake on our AOS form and then the RFE  was a standard form asking for all the info again. No we are just waiting to see if it was acceptable. Do they send out an RFE 2 if needing more information? I feel like we are in limbo now with out knowing whats going on.

We are sending in the I-485, I-131 and I-765 all together. So how many photos do we send?

It was not an issue for us in mexico (23 year difference). They never mentioned it in the interview.

My only thought on this post is this site is to help people that want to come to the US legally. It is not for helping people deport others. I am sure there is another website that would be more helpful. But this is not it.

My K1 fiance has a much younger sister that is like a daughter to us. (12 y/o). We want her to come stay with us so she can get a better education. She is one of these kids that are starving for more education. Is there anything we can do to bring her to the US?

HELP!!! Which police cert. do we need? federal, state, city? we live in Tierra Blanca, Veracruz. we were able to get a cert for Tierra Blanca and the state does not offer one. so what do we do? is a federal needed? We called the consulate and they said bring what ever we have and the officer will decide but as everyone knows this would be to late. help please any personal experience is greatly appreciated.

I heard from another member it was 3 days until they recieved thiers.

I called the consulate this morning about the same topic and was told to get a copy at the information window.

Is this form necessary to bring to the interview, if so does anyone know how i can get a replacement?

Does anyone know how packet 3 is delivered in mexico? Fedex? DHL? Other?
