By any chance has anyone left the country with the Travel Document USCIS approval card since Trump became president? Just wondering since we are still waiting for the green card and my wife is going to her country at the end of the month. It's a little scary because she is going on her own and coming back within a week. Just visiting her family. Thanks!

Does anyone know if we are allow to claim our spouses on our taxes? I'm still waiting for green card for my wife. She is not a resident yet. In some places I read you can because she's my dependent, in others I can't because she isn't a resident. She's been having a social security number a month after her POE . Thanks guys

I am glad everyone is moving along with this journey. I really haven't comment because my case was not moving until a couple of weeks ago we were able to get our hands on the RFE since we went straight to the congressmen(we waited about 2 months). We mailed everything which was just a translation for my wife's birth certificate. Now the EAD & AP are approved and we are waiting for the card to be delivered. I wanted to ask for those who have received the combo card do you have to pick it up at the post office or it can be delivered to you at home?

I would really appreciate if anyone can help me out on this. At this point I am running out of options.

I submitted the 3 forms for my wife back on July 5th(former K-1 Visa). Didn't hear anything until the 22nd for her NOA1. She did fingerprints on the 18th and on the 20th we got a RFIE for our I-485 form. Since then we have no received this form. I have already requested a e-request. Nothing has come in. We already did an Info-Pass appointment and they told us there was a request in already and they can't over ride the e-request. This is literally driving us crazy. I believe they give you 87 days to respond and that's next month. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do or where to go? Or has anyone experience anything similar? I am so fed up depending on our stupid government for papers and cards and all this #######. You pay over 1K for what? I don't get it. And its not an mail issue because my wife has been receiving mails too.

The RfE copy I received in the mail said I had 87 days to respond so you should have time still. I got the e-mail telling me about the RfE on August 18th and they said I should put in an e-request for a copy of the notice if the letter hadn't come by September 17th. Have you submitted an e-request about yours (www.uscis.gov/e-request)?

Congrats to everyone that is moving along. I am having some issues with my RFIE. Its been one month and I still have not received it. For those who have received and RFE how many days/ months do they give you for you to respond.

Congrats to everyone moving along. I hope my RFE comes soon or I will have to wait 2 more weeks to request another copy. Sucks! Anyways my wife and myself will be going on vacation for this weekend. Cant wait to get away from home and just enjoy another state.

For me, I received the online update and e-mail that I had an RfE and then 6 six days later received the letter in the mail. I think they say that if you don't receive the letter within a month then you should submit an e-request online. We sent back the evidence and it was delivered a week ago. I haven't heard anything since so am hoping we will hear soon as I'm not patient! Good luck and I hope you get something in the mail shortly!

For anyone that received an RFE how long did it take to received the letter in the mail? I am on my 2nd week and still nothing. Anyone can advise?

Good news!!!!! Just received Notice of Application to appear for interview on 10/5/2016! And I was feeling so down and impatient today. Things are moving along!!!

Went to the biometrics today in Elizabeth, NJ with my wife. Two hour wait. Don't bring any food. Bring a lot of quarters for the meters since its 25 cents for every 10 mins and don't use your phone. They will kick you out. It's really such a waste of time in that place. Thank god don't have to go there for another 5 years or so. And don't go early. They will tell you to come back.

Got the Bio letter today too for Aug 18 at the Elizabeth, NJ office

Just received all 3 NOA1's in the mail today!.. We are moving along. Now lets see when the Biometrics letter kicks in.

We finally got our electronic NOA1 & email last night, exactly 2 weeks after the delivery date.. Well 1AM this morning!!

What a relief! Waiting for the physical NOA1s and Biometric appt letter now...

Hi! New applier here! My package was received on June 30th, and I know it has been 4th of July but it's already been two weeks and I'm worried because I didn't use lawyer or anything and I see that most of the people get their NOAs withing a week or less... ?

I can imagine the frustration. Mine was delivered exactly last Friday and no word of anything. No movement. Lets hope they get on our cases ASAP.

She'll need to wait until she has the EAD or green card in hand. What is is she needs a state ID for exactly? Her passport should do for ID.

The passport works but they need the I-94 form to see her immigration status. Sucks but they always ask for so many things at the DMV

I wanted to see if anyone is on the same boat. My wife's I-94 expired and I can't get her an ID even if we showed we got married. Any thoughts? I want her to have a state ID and we just sent the AOS package.
