  1. My fiancée had her interview at the US embassy in Nairobi and was approved!!!!!!!

So happy!!! I was there with her but they don't let petitioners in with applicant for interview. I gave her my passport so they know that I was outside.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BOTH OF YOU!!

  2. Hi. This may have been asked already, but after going thru 21 pages of this forum, I did not see this topic. My fiance' and I are in the process of the K1 visa journey. We realize if approved & issued that it is valid for 6 months. We are also fully aware that once here, we have to be married within 90 days. Our question is, if (hypothetically) she were to wait 4 or 5 months before actually coming to the U.S., do we still have 90 days to be married? Or do we need to be married before the visa expiration date? I am guessing we have to be married, before the visa expiration. I tried searching for answers online, but none were clear. They simply say that once the fiance' arrives to the U.S. that marriage must take place within 90 days. Hopefully my question is clear. Thank you.

  3. Thank you for the info!

Hi dear.. I called NVC 2 weeks after I received the Email/Txt notifications of our approval. Once you'll get ur case number, you can start tracking it via https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Ohh yeahhhh! Hahaha :joy: didn't I told you you'll get your status "READY" by tomorrow :luv: When are you planning to have ur medical and interview?

Thank you for the info too!

You can wait for the letter from NVC (takes a while) or you can start calling the NVC about 2 weeks after letter from USCIS and ask them for your case #. Takes time and persistence. Call the IV # and if u get the we r busy try again later- just keep calling back.

  4. We have actually discussed doing that. The only issue is his son. His ex-wife has remarried and now has a new last name. If my fiance changes his name to mine, then his son would be the only one with a different name. And my fiance doesn't want that to cause issues for his son.

Tell your husband to take your name and really throw them all. Maybe just get an interview waiver at that point. LOL

  5. Well ours still hasn't been touched. I will be calling the CSC on Monday and giving someone a piece of my mind. I know they won't care one bit, but it will make me feel better. Thought about contacting my state senator as well.

On a side note, I have followed the USCIS Facebook page. They had a "customer service day" a few days back for one whole hour, on Twitter. That's beyond lame. But someone posted in that thread that they have been waiting for 45 WEEKS (!!) for their NOA2! His senator has been involved on 3 seperate occasions and USCIS hasn't lifted a finger, or even helped that couple. I replied to that post, and I am guessing the clowns at USCIS didn't like whatI replied with, and it got deleted. The level of incompetence for that particular situation is just staggering. And it sucks, as citizens, taxpayers & petitioners that they don't care about customer service in the slightest.

Hey Domina, I know yours will get touched this week. From what I saw on playing the case numbers today, there were only few cases left of I-129F waiting to be touched. A lot has received RFE's though.. And I've also seen RFE response was already received but still wasn't reviewed. Maybe they'd finish the "case received" status first before reviewing those on RFE responses. Just guessing though

  6. We have heard nothing. Our last update was 9/25/15. Stuck in limbo here.

Yes, I will surely keep you posted. You are a over a week ahead of me and should go quicker. Should being the operative world lol. As we are all learning, it's a mystery! Please keep me posted as to your progress as well.

I never heard that 2 could sign! Good to know for future applicants! Let's keep our fingers crossed. Like someone else said. An RFE sucks but at least we know our case has been touched!

Domina, how is your case going? Have you heard back since NOA1 yet?

  7. We received our NOA1 last Sept 28 and haven't received anything yet. :(

I've played around with case numbers and I can see that they haven't approved anything yet for NOA1s received Sept 28. So, hoping they'll be working on them the next few days.

I've been telling myself not to check on the tracker every 10 mins but to just wait until I get a notification cause it's stressing me out. :( I guess the only thing left for me to do is just wait. I've never been this stressed out before. :( And for people losing weight when stressed, the opposite happens to me. I've been stress eating lately. :(

Am curious, how are you playing around with case numbers? Our NOA1 was Sept 24, and hasn't been touched yet. I have seen some sent in a few days after ours, and they have received their NOA2's. So I am not sure how inputting receipt numbers can really tell you anything.

  8. Join the club. It's upsetting they don't work on cases in the order they are received (by when the NOA1 is given), but instead can apparently pick and choose what cases they want to work on. We all paid the same fee amount, and to get put on the backburner because some case worker is lazy is a bunch of bull.

Anyone here who receive their NOA1 on the last week of September got their NOA2 this month? It's been a month and still no news from them.

Hopefully, we'll hear from USCIS soon =)
