-
Hey congratulations to everyone who waited so very long! I'm so happy to hear that you have been approved!
Anyone else still waiting for a NOA2 and interview date? Can't be much longer now!
(We are now waiting for AoS.)

I have tried calling Sen Schumer's office about 5 times and can never get through to whoever is working on my case. They say he's not here, he will call you tomorrow which never happens. And now I'm in Mex so I suspended my phone service bc I can't use it here. I have also emailed them twice and no reply. They haven't emailed me at all.
I sent the release forms to Sen. Gillibrand's office on Tues or Weds and called today to ask if they needed anything more. A person actually answered the phone, took a look at my email and said they'd work on it, and verified my email address. This is further than I've gotten with Schumer in the 3 months since I requested help. I think I originally asked for their help in Sept.
Hi Jess,
I assume you have checked with their office today. Any news?
Tell them that other people's Congresspersons have been more helpful and they should be ashamed.
Mine called a "Congressional liaison".

Hi, I am in the same boat, and I think I will just enter "K-1 Visa Holder", unless anyone else suggests differently.

Hallo zusammen!
-
Jess,
It's your Congressperson's job to help their constituents. I don't know where you are, but you should contact your Congressperson on Monday morning.
-
-
Dear all,
Congrats to those who have recently been approved.
To the others, contact your Congressional representative! Have them call their Congressional liaison. This is ridiculous.
All the best!

Hallo Kitty Kahlohr,

-
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if you could provide an update.
How did this work out for you? Did you have any trouble, or did everything go smoothly?
Thanks for sharing!

alles klar
Leider weiß ich aber keinen Rat. Viel Erfolg!

Why don't you create a separate email address for this?
-
Ask your Congressperson's office to contact the Congressional Liaison on Monday.
I don't have any more information than that. Just that this is what my Congressman's assistant did.

Hallo zusammen! Hi everyone!
(I am the petitioner, in the US)
I know this has been discussed, but as we would like to send our packet 3 asap, I want to be absolutely sure about what I'm doing.
Can you tell me:
1. I have read nothing on any official list about submitting extra evidence of the relationship at this point. Is there any reason that I need to send this type of thing to my fiancée?
This goes for other things like a copy of the complete I-129F packet. Does she need these right now? I could send them by slow snail mail instead, if she doesn't need them now.
2. I know others have sent additional information in, but is it sufficient if I only send:
-the I-134,
- my 1040 tax return from last year,
- the letter from my employer, (checklist does not ask for this)
- check stub or pay stub type document? (checklist does not ask for this)
Thanks again! This place is a goldmine

Hi Barakyah,
You should contact your Congressional Representative's office.
Let them know how long you have been waiting, and ask them to call. I assume you are at the Texas Service Center?
We waited 7 months to the day.
My Congressman's office called down to the TSC to check on our file, and we had the NOA 2 email about 1 week later.
But, just so you know, we also heard nothing until then. They do not contact you at all, until letting you know about the NOA 2.
Are you registered on the USCIS site, to receive email and text notifications?
If not, you will just receive it in the mail, but for us, it was a relief to receive electronic notification a few days earlier.

Hi all,
I have a question about completing the I-134.
There is a question (Question2) that reads:
2. I am _____ years of age and have resided in the United States since __________ .
If I have lived abroad, do they still want my birth date? I lived here until my 20s, then went abroad, and returned later.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, thank you

Update:
I emailed the consulate, as I was desperate to know if they had received our file.
Today they confirmed that they have indeed received it, and will soon be receiving packet 3
So now we are again waiting, but at least we know that it is in the right country
Thanks, everyone, for your advice!
I also want to confirm for others that I was also very anxious to find out about the MRV number, but it really did just appear on its own on the website after 2-3 days.
Best of luck!

Hi Frewchen,
Danke schön!
Unfortunately, the CEAC doesn't show any results for me. Apparently, the number I have from the NVC doesn't work there, and I have received no email from the consulate, though I know my file must be there!
So, waiting yet again...
-
Hi!
Yes, you need to start calling them around 10 - 14 days after your NOA2 for the case number. It will take approx. 1-2 weeks for them to process.
I kept checking CEAC status and at some point it changed from at NVC to in TRANSIT. That's how I knew that it's on its way to the consulate in Frankfurt. No status updates will happen at USCIS anymore.
To speed up the process, make sure you have all the documents on the checklist ready!
Good luck
Hi Frewchen,
Could you tell me what the CEAC is? Is this the traveldocs.com site?
Or is it another site that I can check?
How did you know that your file had arrived in Frankfurt?
And how long did you wait for packet 3?
Sorry for all the questions !

Hi all,
I don't have anything very helpful to add, just wanted to say thanks for the support. The comment about old ladies typing on Commodores had me laughing out loud
Hang in there!
