IandI got a reaction from David & Diana R in Obamacare yeah it's bull
My wife is now a green card holder and at the time of open enrollment for health insurance she didn't have her social security card which is required to get health insurance.
So so guess what since she didn't have American health insurance when she was still in her country and couldn't get it in the U.S. Yet during open enrollment....she can be made to pay the fine for not having health insurance.
This is bull that we have to pay a fine for not having something she had no way of getting.
The insurance places claim that she has to get it within 60 days of arriving but they didn't understand that a k1 visa itself is not a visa for staying in the U.S. Legally, it's the completion of the adjustment of status which is really when the 60 day time period for insurance enrollment should be started I would think.

My fiancé has never flown on a plane and never travelled alone before she left her city to meet me at airport in dheli. I am going their to attend interview with her and hang out with her family for some weeks then we will fly back to the U.S. Together.

IandI got a reaction from strait2gateway in Entire process a scam
It could be an Indian issue. When I went to see my fiancé many Indians expressed concern or disagreement about foreigners marrying Indians. They also didn't like the idea of Indians moving out of the country.
I am an American male and my fiancé is Indian female. She and I both are well aware and have prepared our patience for the inevitable angry Indian man at the interview situation. Indian males especially don't like to see Indian ladies with foreigners. On a few occasions we were yelled at by stupid hostile Indian men. I plan on attending the interview with her when that happens.
On another note, I just tried to wire my fiancé some money to send some documents and the men at the western union office in India denied her receiving money from an American man, at several western union offices.
It's more of an Indian issue than a uscis issue I think.

Thanks, I was hoping I wouldn't have to write the most ridiculous notarized letter of all time.
