Hello everyone! I a USC and am filling for my mom to get her residence. She is here and Im filling both I-130 and I-485 , but Im not sure what to choose in the I-485, is it A? If so, I dont have an approval notice, so what do I send?

Im a US citizen and my mom is here in the US. She is europen citizen, so they gave her 3 months to stay.

Im applying for her, but am not sure if to file I-130 and I-485 at the same time.

Another question is: she is borned Colombian, but has European citienship. Would she have to renounce to one of her citizenships?

Hi, Im Colombian and I live here in Indiana too. I drove for one year with my international drivers licence and now I just got my Indiana licence. They will be ok. They have to carry the international with the drivers licence issued in their country.

Hi Daniel, my hb got married and I got my residence thru CR-1, the pasado judicila is nothing more than the DAS. She has to schedule an appointment and then she has to spent like half a day there, cause its huge line... She will need 4 pictures, her ID, she has to deposit a fee in a account that they will provide you on the phone.

She will need this deposit slip too.

Feel free to ask me any question, Im Colombia and I went tru all this process and its ery stressfull.

Whatever you want to use, dont use USPS cause they work thru the colombian post office, which is terrible, everything gets lost!!!

Hi, I know exactly how it feel cause Im in the same situation. Ive been here in the states away from my family for one year now and its ver very hard.

The worse thing is that its hard also for our husband to see this cause they feel guilty since the reason why were are here was coming to live with them up here.

When Im very sad and upsed with him I feel that he doesnt even cherish that I gave up on everything I had in my country and my family specialy,,,do you feel the same way sometimes?

My love for him is the only thing that keeps me strong and Gods presence in my life...

My new conditional residence visa had my birth name aswell as my passport, and the green card

How ever when I applied for SSN I showd my birth certificate and my marriage licence and they gave me my SSN with my marrid name,

So now, my residence has my birth name and SSN, drivers licence and ID has my husbands name.,,,,

And its ok

I was already married when I received my green card, I just dont know why they didnt used my married name, since I was married in USA, I have no longer my birth name, They should have used my husbands last name not my colombian last name,,,

is it ok to leave it with the colombian lasta name and my SSN with my married name?

Hi, if some knows about this please help!

I got my green card one month ago with my birth last names, but then I applied for my social security with my husbands last name.

Social security said it was ok, since green card is just for inmigration purposes.

But then I called DHS and they say I cant have them with diferent last names, and that I have to apply a form to change my green card, which will take about 6 months.

Do I have to change my green card now? for a new one with my maiden name, so it matches with my SSN?

I called today DHS for other puspose, but I asked just in case, and they are saying I cant leave the country, or if I do so, I have to apply for I-131 what is this?

Hi, I had my interview las week in Bogota, please ask your fiance to take good proofs and pictures of yout relationship, as well as you engament ring. MAny girls were rejected and asked for more prrof and other interview because they didnt had enought pictured and proofs.

My fiancee will have her interview on October 17, 2006. If everything goes well Qiuxiang and Qi (my fiancee and her/our daughter) will be flying out of Guangzhou on either October 27th or October 28th. I would like to schedule our wedding for November 5th but don't I need for her to have a social number prior to the wedding in order to obtain a marriage certificate?

Dont worry, I got married laste year under a tourist visa, the only document I showed for my marriage licence was my passport.

Olga said that she has heard that New York POE is easiest. She will most likely be coming through LAX So I am trying to find how to determine the harrassment level there.

Whatever port of entery you choose, dont you dare to make her come thru miami,I came las week with a Cr-1, my husband filled for me. and it was terrible.

Eventhough I had already been approved in my country, they would still make me 1000 questions in POE, inmigration officers were very rude, adn the customs was worse....dont recomend miami at all!!!

Hi, I was reading you thread on the bogota vaccines, I had my exam result tody and I have "Applicant may be eligable for blanet waiver because vaccinations not medically appropriate". Im so cobncerned I dont know what this means, I have my interview tomorrow, and I was suposed to have all my vaciness taken already.... Is this ok?

The embassy is asking me for these again and NVC says they gave sent this to Bogota already, that I dont need to take it to the intervieww, who should I believe? THANKS

Hi guys, I received a spanish/english version of ds-230, but I would like to print it and fill it in a PC. Can I use the english version in the department of state webv page? Or since Im appling and have the interview in Colombia it has to be in spanish/english version?

If you are waiting for you interview, dont plan anything, I only waited for 2 weeks and got my interview.

Triple viral, is paperas, rubeola y sarampion, and MMR stands for: measles, mumps and rubella, si this two are exactly trhe same, so if this are the only requiered we are cool!

Those were the shot I got, I have no idea what they are exactly but they said those are the required ones for adults.

It sounds like your fiancee might be from another Colombian city. My fiancee, Adri, is from Bogota and had her medical exam today. Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like me to pass along any questions about the city to Adri.

I have been to Bogota three times now, but I'm afraid about the only questions I could answer are about flying into the Bogota airport, or what's on the breakfast buffet at the Radisson.

I will also be traveling to Bogota from 9/26 to 10/1 for our interview at the embassy. Obviously we are anxious to get this process completed.
