I have another question regarding this IMBRA I haven't seen much other than Info that states, If you meet through the internet,a dating company/services, on-line bride companies you have to submit back ground info. What if you actually met your soon to be spouse in her native country the old fashion way and not over the Internet or the other services and you have been living together for 6 months and longer does the Law still apply? I have started a letter that I will be sending to my state Gov., Senator, and to Department of HLS.
Any input?

I'm making a copy of my passport for proof of citizenship----- but try as I might tho the text comes out fine--the picture is way too dark---I look like a shadowy price of darkness peering out the window of hades....
Does the photo quality really matter in this case?
I'll be enclosing good quality passport phot so----?
any seegestations?
I have a quick question about the Passport photos in one of the forms it asks for birth Cert. however it also says Passport copy if had for 5 years. I had my brother look for my Birth Cert. at home as I am in Thailand and he can not find it and I do have a passport but for only 3 years will the copies from it still be sufficient?

I need someone to tell me what this Imbra is. Do you have to submit info to a broker or what? Me and my fiancee has been living together for 6 months and I'm fixing to send off the petition for the K-1. Could some give me some info?

I know this is going to be a stupid question but I have to ask, I have downloaded and filled out all of the forms for my fiancee and have put them in thier on folder marked what they are so when it comes time for her to go to Bangkok all she has to do is pick up the folder and sign & date. Is this a good idea or wil she run into problems? The status as of now is waiting on Brother to scan and e-mail Birthcert. then off the I-129F goes.

for the supplement just add a sheet of paper with the additional info. They arent interested in your financees work status only the US citizens.

Well on this subject they want you to explain how we met and this is where I'm getting stuck because i met in a bar for 4 months and she was a server also worked i her Aunt shop as a seamstress and I just can't think of a way to word it.
Thanks again for the help.
Is this for her employment history or the statement on how you met?
Well for both the G-325A ask for employment and the I-129F asked how we met.

stang,
'look down on that' is not quite correct. The vast majority of gogo bar and beer bar employees are prostitutes and the consular officers are well aware of that fact. So, you ask a good question to which I do not have a good answer.
You might want to consider having a consultation with Bill White, a US immigration attorney practicing in Bangkok. He can review the details of your fiancee's situation with the two of you and perhaps offer some advice on how to deal with the situation.

(BTW, your fiancee seems to be an 'old timer' - most bargirls will tell you that they've only been working at it for 3 weeks.)

I am still in Thailand and I'm getting all of the paperwork together for my fiancee so we can get the ball roling. I have been reading alot on the paperwork and haven't seen anyone discussing the part where she is going to have to fill out when I'm not here in Tland. Is her part going to going to be very difficult for her to handle? The next ? I have can I send the I-129 from Thailand? And only one more thing is it good to get a Visa/Immigration Law firm to do the paperwork to make sure there are no mistakes?
Thanks

I send you some advice. A Thai lady over 25 with kids is nowhere like a Thai lady with no kids. Mine is 22 and the Dowry I plan on paying is 100,000 baht and that should be good. The Dowry is on the norm higher for women with no kids and younger however once they have kids in the Thai parents eye they are not as desirable so the price goes down. You set the dowry price not them. You will probably have to negotiate some. If you get a book called Thailand Fever it will tell you about the dowry and a lot of other stuff you may want to know.
