Really sorry to hear that. I don't think anyone has an answer or has any idea what is going on. Look at YemenzQt, they issued a visa to her father while her mother is still waiting. It's hard to say but it can literally change overnight so hang in there. You're at the end, almost there.

    Did they take his passport?

Have you tried contacting a congressman or senator?

Can those with interviews please let us know how your spouses plan to travel to djbouti?

I did. They just told them, we have to keep checking our case status online. They are constantly making things harder. Inshallah khayr, theres nothing we can do.

In Sha Allah all our cases get approved asap.  But I wanted to comment on your previous reply when you mentioned the "treatment" of the Jordanian embassy to Yemeni citizens.  I was looking at the documents required and reading what to bring to the interview and it clearly says to bring divorce papers or if previous spouse has passed away, then to bring death certificate.  Sometimes us Yemenies want things to go our way even if we are at fault.  I am not saying this to criticize you wallah, but I know a lot of us are like that :)

Wrong person, i never mentioned anything about Jordan. Lol

Yeah, u r right.  I went to Malaysia with my wife back in December and it was very easy to get the 90 days Visa but i heard that Malaysia soon will reduce it to 14 days.  My cousin is in Malaysia now with his wife.  He has been there since March 17 and his wife has been in Malaysia since April 2016.  He told me what he has heard is Malaysia starting 2018 will not renew nor extend visas for Yemeni citizens.  Right now i guess Yemeni citizens can extend their visas for 6 months after their 3 months visa expires.

I was able to get my wife a visa to Jordan which cost$120 or $100 in yemen.  Took about 3 weeks but i got it for her.

Sudan i don't know anything about, but i think Yemeni citizens are allowed.

Wallah i am getting suck and tired of this process.  It's been 6 months since i started and i haven't even gotten through the USCIS.  They sent me a RFE which i responded to back in April and i haven't heard a thing from them.  I have contacted my congresswoman and that didn't get me anywhere

Ya i know how you feel. My case was at USCIS for a year and half. They forgot about it and when i complained, they approved it a week later. Now it has been two and half years since i started everything. You will get your approval soon inshallah and then you can move on with the process. Women are easier than man so it shouldnt be to bad for you, inshallah khayr.

Actually i don't want to go to Djibouti unless i have too.  I am still at the uscis stage like i said earlier, but i prefer to go to Amman, Jordan or KL, Malaysia if i can.  Or even Sudan to me is better than Djibouti.  You heard anything about these embassies?

Honestly, I havent heard anything. Ask around. Just make sure the embassy you choose, its easy to get a visa to go into the country.

You have any idea how to expedite a case?  I heard you contact the embassy once you have a nvc case number.  Some say you contact the NVC

Yes, you send an email to NVC on why you want to expedite it and they send it to embassy. If they approve, they let u know. I feel like now a days, the process is harder when u expedite because the Djibouti embassy doesnt respond to emails. Which embassy are you going to choose?

I heard that from other people, but I can tell you for sure that my father's friend's family is in Yemen today and he got his interview date last week for July 21st.  He's now planning on traveling to Yemen from the USA to pick up his family and travel to Djibouti with them.

I heard people say they don't give interview dates unless you do the exam there which means you have to be there in Djibouti for over a month, but what y father's friend got clearly shows thats not true.  But maybe they are inconsistent

Its only if you expedite the case that you must do the medical before you are given an interview. If the case is not expedited, then NVC schedules the appointment before the medical exam.

i just expedited my case in the beginning of may.i was in the last stage of my case waiting for the interview appointment. The us embassy approved it, they received my case in djibouti 2weeks ago.Now waiting for the interview date.

Hey, are you petitioning for your spouse? because Djibouti embassy is going to tell you, your spouse has to be physically  be in Djibouti and do the medical exam before they give an interview appointment. Thats what they did with me and btw they never answer emails. The only way I get info is through a congress representative.

How legitimate is she? I heard she takes a lot of money. Have people actually benefited from her?

Yeah, they already said that to me. I'm not sure how the lady (who I just spoke to) who said the embassy didn't schedule my interview knew they didn't though, because I thought there wasn't a way for them to know?

Last time I spoke with them (last month), they said they don't have access to the embassy's scheduling system and that the embassy just sends them what dates are available.

I have a feeling she was lying 🙄

She probably had no idea. If you provided an email, they should send you an email if they scheduled an appointment. Wait and see, sometimes they don't send it the same day.

He's going there soon InshaAllah. I don't really want him to go back till we have an interview date though.

Btw, I just called the NVC to see if maybe I have an interview and they said no..so I'm not sure what update they did. :/

i forgot to ask them what the wait for interviews is though.

Call them and ask but they probably will say, we dont know because the embassy are the ones that are going to schedule your interview.

Your case is not complete yet? And why does it say Baghdad?

Not my case. I'm helping out a family member petition for his wife and children. The children's cases are complete but the mother got a checklist.

IDK, but from what I understand from that email is that they might be offering Baghdad as an option to transfer your case.

They keep sending you different emails. You should call NVC to clarify.
