I have no idea what happened but I kept calling and until I got an update with "placed in line for oath" and then "oath scheduled " I guess they got tired of my calls lol

Every case is different. I received my oath letter almost 3 months after interview.

Follow the guide (you need two packets, I-130 plus evidences in each, you can put each in its own envelope, put the two envelopes in one bigger envelope and send it like that, but they're two seperate applications):

All I will say is that these IO don't play with these type of situations. Just be prepare for all the questions.

I had my oath ceremony last week and I only brought the oath letter and my green card. IO asked if I had anything else and I told her I forgot my employment authorization card at home and she told me to just make sure no one uses it and I can shred it when I get home.

You can own a home and still be denied. You'll be ok

You sound like a good guy. I think this woman just used you to get out of DR. Have you try discussing her nasty ways to her. It's either she's narcissistic or just clueless. I really feel for you,especially the part where she don't shop on the sales rack. #######?

I am a hard working woman making a good salary and I shop on the sales and clearance rack. If she doesn't change her ways you need to dump her real quick. Do keep us posted

Guys I had my oath ceremony yesterday. I am a US citizen now. It lasted 4 hours and it was a wonderful experience. Good luck to all who are waiting on oath letter

I think Amended return can take up to 16 weeks to be adjusted.

Thanks! You should start to worry after 90-120 days. That's what the representative told me every time I called to find out the status of my case lol. Maybe IO forgot my file on her desk *shrugs*

I'm in NYC and mines took about 5 months.

My husband was born in Grenada and is also a citizen of the the great USA and there are no problems with his dual Citizenship.

I agree with what the other poster said. Be prepared to ask about your marriage. You may even be lucky and IO may not even ask you about your marriage. My sis in law applied under 5 years rule and even though she is divorced from her husband who gave her the green card IO only ask her if she will ever marry again and was make conversations with her. She was approved and had her oath in less than 30 days after.
