Good morning,
To those who took their Oath in this office, were they strict with not having anyone with you inside? My husband is hoping to be a part of it, and we got 2 small kids, too. If not, they would need to stay in the car again. During my interview, the letter said no one is allowed but me, but I saw several people with either their spouses or whole family with them in the waiting room (I observed only one person is the interviewee from those groups).
Thanks in advance for the responses.

Your timeline looks Good and seems like a smooth one beside the lil wait like everyone else has. I didn't submit any evidence for our ongoing relationship. I figure we can submit evidence during interview if needed. Still no update on AOS. I was told by an USCIS rep that my local office is currently working on cases from November still. That we could be waiting for another 7-8 months to hear anything about AOS
Well... we tried to open a joint bank account and my husband tried to add us to his insurance/s, but all were denied since we do not have SS numbers yet. I didn't get one when I arrived because I want all my IDs in my married name, and to avoid all the hassles of name change - personal choice though.
I'm sorry about the wait. Delaware is such a small state, so I figured they do not do a lot of AOS in our local office too. But hey, your glass is half full -- your EAD/AP is approved, right? Being employed is such a good way to keep busy while waiting.
Your good news is coming, too! And it will be sooner than later
-
Congratulations...GC is way better than EAD..!! Are you adjusting from K1?
Thank you!
Yes, K1 and K2. A couple of things got me worried. First is, we did not not include any proof of "on-going" relationship at all. All I submitted was our wedding pictures. Second, we did not submit the form i-693 - just our vaccine records. So I feel like our application was really "touched by an angel"
But you know what they say: If there's no change of status within the first couple of months after submitting your application, then it's most likely approved.

Hello everyone! I do not constantly post, so you may not know me a lot. But I constantly read, so I feel like I know all of you by heart. LOL!
Anyway, I hope this post will give hope to those with the same timeline as mine. Hang in there... with patience and prayers, our GCs will all be on-hand. Then, 2 years of rest, and then we'll do all these all over again, LOL.
Happy Friday, everyone!!! Below is my timeline... Approved with no RF(I)E, no interview, and no Form i-693 submitted. Praise you, Jesus!!!

Ours said: Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery.
I requested our passports to be delivered to our house, so I'm not sure if I'm going to get them this week. If not before Christmas, hopefully before the new year.
Good luck to you too!!!

30 days is a bit much, but it will go by quickly. Praying for the 15th of January. We are going to surprise the children. They don't know we were approved. So glad we are all Here to encourage each other. Blessings.
I know!!! We just can't wait to be together. Well, I can use the 30 days too to spend as much time as I can with family and friends. Also to make sure that I'm not leaving anything important behind.
I'm very thankful for you -- you have been a wonderful offline and online support. I wish you the best, and I hope we keep in touch.
Blessings back!

Thank you! So happy for you too. Do you have a date in mind for your POE?
Hello dear,
Our target POE is on January 28th. I still need to properly turn things over at work. They asked me to do 30 days. How about you and your love?
-
Congrats!
It is rather common over this past year that the CO does not take the support documents, but they are still listed as required on the embassy instructions letter - so still best to have them .. as souvenirs maybe.
Very happy that it went smooth and easy for you.
Congratz on your approval owensmj27 and mcssae7883...!
Congratulations. What a happy occasion. Have a beer and talk about the future. What a day!!
Thank you everyone! The joy cannot be explained
Hank and Greenbaum, your websites are such a great help! I got them bookmarked and I will surely use them until maybe Naturalization, lol.
God bless all you helpful buddies here at VJ!

Hello All. Just a quick update bcz I am extremely tired from my 'Journey' to Jamaica for a day. We were approved without hesitation and everything went very well. Ty for all the advice on attending my fiance's interview, that was the key! Blessings. Review to come soon.
Congratulations and much much love and blessings to you and your fiancé!
-
Waaaahhhhhh teary-eyes
I'm so happy for you she.. Finally it's over, early Christmas gift
blessings indeed.. Been waiting for this update since 10am lol
Thank you Lord
Awww... You're making me cry. Thank you Jesus, indeed. And thank you sooooo much! *virtual hug* you have been one of my strong support systems. I'll be looking out for you and the progress of your application too. Please, please don't hesitate to send me a PM if you need help or have questions. And IF I'm still here when you do your medical and interview, just let me know if you have some free time.
We got out of the embassy at about 8:30am. My K2 and I had a celebratory pizza and ice cream before heading home. And I called my fiancé, woke him up to bring him the good news.
Here's the full review of my interview experience at USEM Manila:

Yes, i knew that feeling. I did not sleep good also last night until this afternoon when i go home.hahahaha! Im planning to do my CFO next month i think no more slot for this month and maybe on the last week of January or 1st week of Feb i will be leaving. Thanks in advance.
Just be relax and answer all the questions honestly. You will be good.
Hello everyone!
My K2 and I got home a couple of hours ago from our interview. Except for the rain that poured very heavily the moment we got in front of the US Embassy, our overall experience was wonderful -- very smooth and easy. Rains are blessings after all.
"Everything looks good. Your visa is approved. You may go home and expect your passports in about a week." Those were the sweetest words I heard since the approval of our petition!
The photos nor the affidavit of support weren't even asked for and looked at, lolol. At least we have souvenirs and something to show our grandchildren, lol. My CFO is scheduled on January 5th and we plan to leave the country on January 28th. Hey, we might be in the same airport, who knows, lol.
Good luck with the rest of the process. And thank you so much for the support
Aja aja!

Thank you to this group and some of the ppl here who became my VJ buddies along the way. It's a bittersweet feeling to "graduate" from this forum.. But I am mostly happy about how everyone is progressing.
Good luck and I wish everyone an easy and blessed K1 process up to our POEs, weddings, AOS, Naturalization, and happy ever after!

Good luck for the interview tomorrow.
