    1) Yes, I've read that more people had this and still got their combo card
    2) I would say no. But if you have a job waiting maybe you can tell them you'll have it shortly. When your case is updated with card is mailed, wait 24Hrs than call them and ask for a tracking number. You'll need to speak to a tier 2 officer they can see more in the system. I got one and saw I'm getting my card this coming Friday.

    Hello Everyone!

FINALLY after 126 today I received 2 emails & text messages notifying that my EAD and AP were approved. I never thought it was going to take this long.
Last month on June 9 my AOS status changed to Case ready to Schedule For an Interview. I hope I get the interview waiver! Good luck to everybody out there looking for their first jobs here. I'll start applying for jobs in a few weeks.

Does  anybody know how long it takes from "Case Approved to Card Was Mailed"? I'd like to have an idea of how much longer I have to wait.

Hi, Former venezuelan k1 visa holder (I'm the beneficiary) here:
My question is: is this more than what is required?

Kind of but it won't hurt you at all. The key here is variety over quantity and el certificado de solteria is not a requirement. I paid a bunch of money to get mine and It was worthless.

Should I be providing more than they require?
It wont hurt your case, but make sure not only to keep a copy of everything you send but also to keep gathering items (like emails, pictures, skype/whatsapp/ fb/instagram logs, letters, phone call records, pictures not only the 2 of you but with family and friends, passport stamps, hotel/restaurant receipts, boarding passes, itineraries, western union receipts etc etc) Im just sharing the type of things we showed as proof. Is important for you to know: For the 129 F visa, you need to send proof of meeting in person within 2 years, that means sending stuff that shows you guyes were in the same geographical spot at the same time, like pictures and boarding passes. For the actual interview you need to proof you guys are in a bonafide relationship, that means you have a genuine romantic relationship and you want to get marry. Cards, emails, pictures, whatsapp conversations etc are great for this purpose. So don't go crazy sending a huge package and keep the majority of your stuff for the interview.

Do I need to have a place of my own before I submit this application?
    No

While I do work full time, I do still go to college and live with my parents. Is there any leeway so that I can still sponsor him but not have to list my current place of living as where he will be staying?

You need to make sure you do enough money for your household. There is a minimum income requirement (poverty guidelines) per family size and state, if you find youself making less that the guidelines you can always send submit the petition along with a co-sponsor without any issues. I remember in my case, for a couple in Florida was a minimum of 22,000 per year so, is very reachable.

My plan was to take out a loan with my closest friend as a cosigner to be able to get an apartment when my fiance gets his visa so we can have a place to be and start our life together, but I am being warned that we are not allowed to move at all from the address I give to the USCIS from the beginning of the application process.

Let me give you an advice, the k1 visa process is just the very beginning of kind of expensive process. You need to take into consideration not only the visa fee but other things like embassy fee, the embassy physicians are not cheap either, clerical fees, flight tickets etc etc. Once your fiance gets here you only have 90 days to get marry and then he must apply for his adjustment of status to get a formal green card. The sooner you guys get married, the fastest he can work and support you. The thing is that the adjustment of status is another additional $1070 (on top of all the visa fee, previously mentioned). Plus think that he needs a mode of transportation, and other stuff.

I know getting married and live with your parents doesn't sound too appealing for a newlywed couple but in your situation is important to know the facts and realities about bringing a love one to the States. Not only is finally demanding but facing money issues during the 1st months of marriage is an unnecessary weight for you guys. Moving also imply money, plus you will need to get furniture, appliances, kitchen, bathroom accessories etc etc.

I've been in this forum for 5 years and I've seen it pretty much everything, specially couples that spends a lot of money in huge weddings and then they don't have a single dime for the rest of the process (not saying this is your case, but renting a new place is also a huge expense).

I would strongly suggest you to stay with your parents and safe money for your new life and your future's husband adjustment of status etc, get married as soon as he gets here, apply for his Greencard so he can get a job soon. Once he has a job plan your moving.

I know you didn't ask for my opinion but I think that having clarity in the process, specially from someone who went through all, will give you the chance of taking an inform decision.

The best of lucks for you
