Front page of today's Star Tribune here in the Twin Cities focuses on the lines in Mexico seeking visas... another article focusing the public on undocumented workers and "illegal" aliens.

That was it. I wrote my Congressman today once more. I am tired of the K-1 applicants getting the short end...

No touches.. Nothing.

And, school starts in only a matter of weeks. I really feel like I have let my "family" down. They are not getting the life they deserve, and a young child is simply unable to understand "politics" or big government.

We share your happiness! There just seems no rhyme or reason to it all...

What is encouraging to me is the sprinkling of those approved who had official RFE response dates post-07-07... Congrats to all (especially those old NSC transferees that I recognize)! Now, lets hope that the work of the service center has not ended for this week.

July 7th and before.... Gary, you certainly know how to add misery to a guy's Sunday. There are a bunch of us that never even received the RFE form until July 10th -- and that was a notice dated June 23rd!! All I can say is that USCIS has got to do a better job...they've got to step it up.

Today, I purchased an airplane ticket for a week's visit in St. Petersburg with my sweetheart the end of September. I am beyond knowing how to save and prepare to move a family... My boss and parents think I have no practical sense left in me at all!

I count 6 March and 6 April members who received NOA2s so far. How equitable can that be?!

What concerns me is the total numbers... At this rate, it will take them almost 10 weeks to catch up on the backlog of pending matters. And then, they will have a couple months of new applications piling up behind that. I absolutely do not need to wait another 10 weeks simply to reach NOA2 status!

What is the old saying - "Justice delayed is justice not done..."

I agree that this would maybe make much more sense if we focus on the official USCIS RFE receipt date instead of the dates we know the RFE's arrived or were mailed there...

Would an exel spreadsheet snap like Danny&Adri did work best as presentation to liasons? The problem I had with Danny&Adri's chart is that it doesn't contain enough info though it has wonderful clarity and organization. The original Nebraska chart begun by Gary and modified by myself and Devilette seemed to contain too much info for folks to even see at this point... What are people thinking is best?

Glad to see that some of the NSC transferees are starting to get their due... What has happened in the last three days? No approvals since the 25th? I finally received notice today that CSC received my RFE response (even though I know from USPS that they got it July 20th). I fear I have a long wait ahead...

Why should it take over a week simply to realize you have something in hand?!!

It is sad when so many are desperate simply to receive confirmation that the service center has received an RFE response from us. What have we been reduced to!! Just emphasizes how removed things have become from focus on getting out the NOA2's...

There is a great variety in how the RFE receipts were reported. Many simply gave the 6/23 date of the notice as the received date. I think more people are interested in when the RFE actually arrived to the USC. Then, there is the date the USC returned their RFE response. And, (for those who used the USPS tracking system) there is the date the RFE arrived back at the CSC. Finally, there is the official RFE receipt date when they get the response noted in their tracking system and provide email confirmation of the action (or further "in-action"). All part of the paperwork process...

I put it in four columns to try and show as much information as everyone had reported - the RFE receipt date, the RFE return date, the RFE arrival to CSC, and the official receipt date for the RFE. It appears that most people received the RFE a day before or after July 4th. Then, there is the individual response times that vary from case to case. And, the efficiency of the service center varies -- some cases they input the response only a few days after it was received back. In other cases it took them upwards of a week.

I am sorry if the chart was not readable. Doesn't everyone have wide-screen monitors, yet?!

The one thing that I did note is that there were very few cases where the RFE had not yet arrived to the USC. If you have a situation like that, I recommend some action be taken soon.

Devilette, I don't think you may be seeing the full chart as I know in my own instance the RFE receipt was noted together with the return of July 20th...I think a number of the RFE returns you are missing may simply be showing up in some of the far columns.

This isn't all 71 or so members that the other thread was counting down, but...

The chart does emphasis that no one has received the coveted NOA2 as of yet (out of this group). Cross your fingers for a week of good news!

Maybe its a factor of distance, as well. Those closest to the Service Center were bound to receive their RFE's sooner than those of us in the Midwest. For us, that is one of the big problems with the NSC to CSC transfer that took place. Calif is far from being centrally located!

The RFE in our case finally arrived today, also... Now on to the next stage - of waiting.

We have not received our RFE yet.... got the notice it was sent June 23rd -- you know the story. We are both so numb with sadness. And, my fiance's sister celebrates her 17 yr anniversary this weekend. Fiance had to get out and away from it all. Talk about withdrawal and isolation. So much sadness.

How can you think that they know you did not meet through a marriage broker until you answer the question? Are you thinking they pre-screened these according to the original I129f response? Myself, I doubt they have looked at the I129f forms that carefully yet.

My expectation was that everyone would have to answer all the questions, whether met through a "marriage broker" or not... is the CSC form different than what was posted from Vermont?!

I posed a question that seems to have been passed over....

You speak of waiver that is needed for multiple K filings - something to address the "serial" applicant. But, the RFE form posted on the forum from Vermont also seems to require a waiver request for anyone that has a criminal record. Is that how you view the RFE?

My understanding certainly was that the waiver did not come in to play on the criminal record, and that the purpose of the law was to simply disclose prior crimes to the beneficiary to insure that they were entering in to a fully informed relationship. Now, the RFE form almost looks like there will be denials of the application for certain crimes (which may only push some to marry overseas and seek K3), irregardless of the beneficiary's desire and wishes.
