    They are so incredibly stupid. They must have a bunch of Trump supporters working at NVC. I'm really sorry to hear that, it's heartbreaking isn't it?
    I'm with you mate, until we both get that greencard. Keep us updated.

    Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC. This is a clone of previous threads started by Dwheels76 and Saylin & SoerenHelmer
    therefore all credit goes to them.Good luck to all! Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites! If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view Saylin's flowchart here. Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. SoerenHelmer will be admin over this thread. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.
    If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.
    And once you've got a case complete, please join the case complete/interview thread started by Dwheels76 on (currently February), http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/583970-case-complete-to-interview-march-2016/
    Also, please read Kanuk's post full of advice and observations, found here.
    Please note: there are updated I-864 forms that you should start using immediately. More info (with direct links to forms) here.
    Best of Luck to everyone !!!
    Awesome news today--I logged into the CEAS website and saw our 3rd NA, and just got off of the phone with NVC who confirmed that our file is now Case Complete as of today, and they are just waiting to hear from the Montreal embassy for available dates.
    These forums have been an incredible source of helpful information--thanks to everyone who runs them and to everyone who's responded to my previous questions. Good luck to everyone--hope your CC comes soon!!
    Think positive, it happens to people daily. It's part of the process and I have seen fre, approved 10 days after they got rfe sent in. It's a little bump, we have bigger bumps ahead so shake it off and get ready for nvc. Start reading the link and know what u have to Do. I loose sleep over thinking to much. Sometimes we just have to breathe and know this is life.
    So I finally received my case number, and invoice ID!!. NVC received my information on December 30th, and yesterday (11 January) when I called, I was already in the system with both case number and invoice number assigned. It looks like it's really only taking about two weeks for them to enter the information, so I would call in about two weeks to check.
    First of all, congrats to all the people that were approved so far! Very happy for you all.
    For those of us that will be stuck waiting longer-- and actually all of us-- I have an appeal.
    I think all of us can agree that the system for spousal visas is a total mess. People are treated dramatically differently by sheer luck (or lack of) -- for example the 5 months processing time for Texas and Nebraska, compared to one month for California. The process takes way too long -- it seems to take people about a year. This is time that forces many people to live apart, or postpone starting a family, or delay careers, or to live away from their friends and family in the US while they wait for their spouse to get a visa.
    It's time to start rabble rousing and complaining to our elected representatives. It's completely unfair that citizens of the US have to wait so long for their spouses to get any sort of status in the US. It's hurting people's lives, and it's something that can be resolved by some good management and perhaps some more resources. Why couldn't spouses immediately be granted a temporary visa while the green card is processed? Why does so much of the communication happen by paper and snailmail when we live in the age of the internet? Why does the NVC take 5 days to process an online payment when at the same time we can buy things online on amazon and have them shipped the next day? I think most of us would be even willing to live with a higher processing fee if that meant we could get the process down to a couple months max.
    I think the first step is to start a Facebook page to gather other like-minded people, and start writing to our representatives and the press and get more pressure on the USCIS.
    Who else here agrees the spousal visa process is slow and unjust? Who else is with me to make a change?
    I believe your NOA1 date is the date referred as Priority date on your Letter. Hence your NOA1 08/24
