My interview is this coming Tuesday.
What questions do they ask? What should I expect, and am I being interviewed alone or with my spouse?

Woke up to an update saying my interview is scheduled!!! No idea when though, will there be more info in the Notice when it arrives in the mail?
How long is it does it usually take after the interview to get the GC? Assuming the interview goes well...this has been almost 6 years in the making so it better go well 🤣
-
What happens if our extended gc expires and I'm not approved yet? Mine expires june 27.

I'm stuck at "Case isready to be scheduled for an interview" since mid Feb 2021 after being transferred to NBC. I hope I get approved soon 😪

Did you need to go for an interview? Or straight approval?

So how is everybody doing? What has happened in your lives these past 2,5 years since we first filed for AOS? Not sure how many are still on VJ.
Waiting to file ROC in October!!

Hi fellow Sinkie,
Thank you for sharing your experience. I can empathize with the mounting frustration as I read through your ordeal. It must be depressing that after getting through what's supposedly the hardest part (being approved), you are stuck in some kind of weird limbo due to multiple logistical mishap.
Have you tried Infopass appointments (https://www.uscis.gov/tools/your-guide-infopass)? I am not as far along in the process but I've heard good things about these in-person appointments.
Stay strong and don't let the delay get you down!
Infopass didn't do anything for me either. They couldn't do anything except tell me to do another SR. I went to get my passport stamped, and even that they ###### up. They wrote the wrong alien number on my passport which resulted a delay when I was checking in at the airport because the number didn't match my name. God, people at USCIS are so inept at their job it is amazing.

Hi all,
My AOS from J1 (married a US citizen) was approved Dec 2017 and I still haven't gotten my card yet. They sent it in December 2017 but I wasn't informed that I was approved AND they mailed out the card but I happened to move apartments the same week, which resulted in the card being sent back to USCIS.
After 2 service requests, (90 days + 90 days wait), they finally mailed it out, but I never received it. Turns out they had a typo in my address so it was undeliverable. Sent back to USCIS. What the hell, right?
Did another SR and it's been 40 days as they promised and surprise surprise, still no card. Called them but they wouldn't transfer me to a tier 2 officer due to "high call volumes". I'm just so frustrated not having the damn card after 8 months. Any advice?
-
USCIS took 6 months to resend my green card because I moved and they sent my gc to my old address. But the f up part was, they mis-typed my new address by 1 number and now that piece of mail is swimming somewhere, supposedly going back to USCIS. Ah the incompetence of govt staff is amazing
-
Well. It's been a month since I requested to have my green card resent to my new place, but still heard nothing yet.
I didn't know I got approved, and I had to move. By the time I changed my address, they sent my card to my old place without updating my status on USCIS.
Anyone had a similar incident like this?
-
Anyone has any idea how long they'll take to actually resend my gc? I moved and updated my address but I didn't know it was approved, there was no case update until I saw "card Returned Undeliverable".
So frustrating. So near yet so far

I'm in Seattle!
We filed really early in December 2016, and we had our interview on Sept 14th, but we didn't have any RFEs.
Unfortunately, if you call and speak with them, they'll just repeat the data on the website for processing dates (even L2 folks were doing that when I called).
Your only real options now are submitting a service request online (which will take quite a while for a response), making an infopass appointment, or - probably the most sensible option - just sit tight for a few more weeks. They're bound to be clearing December files now, so I imagine your interview schedule letter is on its way! Your filing was at the end of December, and you had an RFE, so it may take a few more days to get to you.
Hold tight though - it'll come!
I called them and they spouted the usual bullshit about still being within processing time, I sent a service request and it hasn't been assigned to anyone since September. Fun times. Ugh.
I really wanna go back home to Singapore but I'm afraid I might get the interview date when I'm not in the US.
-
Anyone in Seattle? As of Aug 31 they were processing Nov 25 2016 filers. It's November now and I'd assume they'd be processing Dec filers by now.. I sent them an RFIE in May and haven't heard anything since.
-
Hi all,
how long does it take for them to reply to rfie? I sent mine and they received it a month ago and I heard nothing since. I don't even have my EAD/AP yet. I am a dec 27 filer. This is depressing
-
Hi everyone, I'm wondering if an RFIE on my i-485 is gonna affect my EAD approval?
My RFIE was just as I suspected, about the affidavit of support. I didn't include my pay stubs as proof. Easy fix, I think... I got my W-2 and tax transcripts too..
-
Just got an update
Got an RFIE at day 78. Depressing. Most probably about the affidavit of support. Sigh.

Hi guys, any late December with updates on online status? Mine in still in case received.
I've seen some January K1s receiving EAD cards already. I'm happy for them, but can't wait to see updates for us.
Probably the next two weeks we'll get updates

Got my biometrics notice today as well, for 2/8/17. I'm working that day, is it recommended that I just do a walk in the day before which is my day off?
-
Meh. Haven't got my biometrics letter.
My timeline:
12/21- Mailed packet to USCIS
12/27- Packet Received
1/11- Checks cashed
1/12- Received 4 e-Notifications (I-130, I-485, AP & EAD)
1/18- 4 NoA in the mail

Interview was so chill. My case status updated when I left the office. It's now "card is being produced". Woohoo!
