chinese_mutt, thanks po sa concern. iniisip ko lang ang work and some anxieties on how to take care of a newly born baby. i have zero experience. but i know, makakaya naman natin yan... we have one week off for thanksgiving week kaya may time akong ayusin ang baby's room - esp. yung mga damit and other stuff na ilalagay sa dresser.

can't wait na ring manganak. sana mahawakan ko na ang baby ko. malikot pa rin sya (akala ko ay less na ang movement nya) masakit na nga lang at intense na. minsan nag-drive ako at naka-posisyon sya na alanganin, buti naman at nakakarating ako sa work and nakakauwi ng safe.

question ko pala sa mga mommies, feeling ko kasi ay di lumaki ang breast ko.. siguro, konti lang.. at lumapad. 36 1/2 weeks na ako. ano pala ang mga dapat kainin para magkaroon ng gatas or dumami naman. sabi ng kaibigan ko ay masasabaw and dapat ay may ginger. mabuti at malamig ngayon at nag-crave din ako ng nilagang baka. aside from that ano pa kaya?

Para magkaroon ka ng maraming milk after ka manganak inom ka ng maraming water, milk & fruit juices before & after feeding your baby and in between feedings too. The more often you feed your baby the more milk you will have. Malunggay would be good to put on soup like (chicken or fish). When my baby was born araw araw ako kumain ng may sabaw....

When I had my interview the immigration officer gave me the photos that I was submitted (with my N-400 application, I wrote my full name and my A# at the back of my photos with the pencil) and asked me to sign on the front side of it. Maybe every state have different procedure.

May baby keep me busy everyday. Update sa baby ko. Nakakaupo na sya without support for 2 to 3 minutes at lumabas na yong first tooth nya last month at may isa na palabas na rin. Ok nman sya hindi nilagnat at hindi rin naging iyakin.

Guess what! I'm the winner in this topic.

I used to brag a lot about my driving skills to my husband. Whenever he let me drive and correct my way of driving, I usually answer it with the years of driving that I have had in the Philippines without being issued a ticket whatsoever.. My motto back then was.. If no ticket was issued to me in the Philippines for almost 8 years of driving.. how much more in the US?!

So last month, my husband asked me to buy milk at Fred Meyers, few blocks from the house. I was like "alright, I have the Philippine Driver's License with me anyway, so whatever happens I'll just show it as proof of ID (in WA foreign licences are valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in the US). Then here comes the TURN LANE -- freakin (excuse the lang) lane thats never included in the PHilippine rules. I didn't notice that when I was already running over the wrong lane... to my surprise when i looked at the rear view mirror.. I saw an ambulance! I just continued and tried signalling to the right to give way --- and guess what that ambulance is?! a COP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly bowed and knelt on my knees just so the officer won't confiscate my license.. good grief.. even if my driving skills sucked that night but at least my speaking and negotiating skills worked perfectly allowing the officer to just say "do better next time and be sure to get a "WA State Driver's License!"

I ended up going home trembling!!! My husband was laughing out loud hearing the kind of reasoning I told the officer in charge.

LESSON: Never brag too much specially if you've been observing the kind of Traffic rules we have in the Philippines!

So, you really learn a good lesson. At least you didn't get a ticket There's one filipina here in our town that keeps on brag'n that she have a DL from the Philippines. And guess what.... she doesn't know how to drive (I guess she just pay to get a DL). It took more than 2 years for her to learn how to drive and get her DL.(She's 40 something years old) The first few months she drove through the back roads and brag that she's a really good driver

hi to all. i am new poster here, We are still waiting for our NOA2 but i just want to prepare ahead of time.

I am curious and kinda afraid of going for the madical examination there in St. Lukes Medical Center Extension Clinic because I read many negative feedbacks.

Most of them are complianing for their x-ray results ( with scars, blurred, etc.) that would require them to do sputum test for 4 days (i think)..which took almost 2 months of waiting again for the result and only to find out that it is negative at the end.

Now I wonder if will I go for my medical exam 2 months before the interview date or will do it few days before the interview? it would be risky for me because i am living in davao.

NO COLD drinks, air, NON WHATSOEVER!!!!

NO SMOKING, NO AIR-CONDITIONING that makes her chilled. If she has to go to a place air conditioned she must keep herself warm.

Keep away from people. Crowd causes stress. Stress causes respiratory risks.

SHE MUST SLEEP AT LEAST 10 hours at night.

SHE MUST EAT even if she does not want to.

SHE MUST TAKE B complex vitamins to activate/enhance her nervous system and thereby improving immune centers in her brain.

No carrying heavy weights of any kind.

Pray... pray and pray.... also eat healthy! Taga Davao man ka you have lots of fresh fruits there. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables everyday. An apple a day keep the doctor away... he... he... he...

Be careful on what you put on your baby's face. Kelan pa ba yun nag umpisa? If after 3 days na I will suggest that you call his pedia first thing tomorrow. Kasi if you will wait for so long it might get infection... and your baby will feel more missirable. So, pls call the Dr even if it's expensive! Sounds that your baby needs to have an immediate and proper treatment. If the Dr will tell you na hayaan lang then you have to insist that your baby needs treatment. I agree with you that doctors here in the US are very expensive... but in return I will expect that my baby, your baby will receive a proper care and treatment from the pedia.

My baby drools a lot since she was 2 months old and I pay close attention on her. I always pat dry her dripping saliva to avoid skin irritation. I used aveeno and j&j products sa baby ko noon but she got mild skin rashes noong one moth old pa sya so stop ko na ang pag gamit. I got a lot from my baby shower na sayang lang. My baby's pedia recommend cetaphil cream to put on my baby's face and body (apply 3 times a day) then cetaphil cleanser for my baby's bath head to toe (every other day ko lang xa pinaliguan). So far so good, medyo mahal lang but my baby deserve it...he... he...

Tama si RR na mag careful ka if lagyan mo ng baby powder ang baby mo. I never used baby powder sa baby ko kasi I read it online na it's not good for the baby if ma breath in nila. It can cause a damage on their lungs.

I brought Zac to his Pedia yesterday kasi may mga rashes cya sa face nya tas natatanggal lang kapag nilalagyan ng aquaphor tas paghininto ko ang aquaphor ay bumabalik. Natakot ako na baka Eczema or allegy yun pala eh part daw ng cradle cap nya. Hindi naman malla cradle cap nya, actually nawala na nga yun eh bumalik lang. Ewan ko ba Sabi Selsum Blue daw i-shampoo namin tas wag daw everyday paliguan kasi di daw maganda sa skin ng baby dahil magdry daw Kasi sinimulan ko cyang paliguaan araw araw mga 3 weeks ago na. Pinapaliguan ko cya everynight bago matulog pra masarap tulog nya. Kagabi dahil sabi ng doc nya eh wag paliguan araw araw eh hindi ko cya pinaliguan tapos iyak cya ng iyak. Hinahanap nya yung bath time tuwing gabi na. Kaya ayun nilagay ko cya sa balde nya at tuwang tuwa na. Pinagtampisaw ko lang cya. Di ko cya sinabon. Ayun natuwa naman at tulog agad after kong bihisan at lagyan ng lotion hehe.
