  1. I just want to congratulate everyone on their approvals and interview date and for some of us still waiting it will be all over before years end. I had my interview this afternoon and I was approved on spot. I now wait again for the GC to arrive in the mail. And thanks to this forum for all the assistance and everyone for sharing their experiences. Good luck to all and keep holding the faith. ?????

    Congrats!!!!

  2. Congrats...No need to be confused if MSC1591430181 is your Husband receipt number for the Adjustment of Status. I have seen quite a few K-1 person here getting Welcome Notice and the Permanent Resident Card without an Interview so count your blessings and I hope your Husband get his Green Card soon....

My husband received his Welcome notice 1 day after the GC,, So don't worry about it. Congrats his GC is on the way..

  3. A lil update:

Yesterday I went to my Field Office in Hialeah and delivered an updated Medical because as I mentioned before I got a RFE at the end of my interview on 10/23/15 asking for same.

Since morning I received a text/email stating on November 6, 2015 we ordered your new card for receipt # etc....

Congrats,, your card is on the way.. My husband's take just 2 days????

    Congrats!

    Thanks!!!!

  4. Not sure what you mean by "what category". The categry you will immigrate under is Immediate Relative, as spouse of a US citizen. The specific category code on your green card when you get approved will be CR6 (conditional permanent resident, IR category, got it through Adjustment of Status).

my husband came with visa k-1 we received his GC today and his category is CF1

  5. This is amazing!!! I'm hoping the same may happen for me. I sent in my package mid July to Chicago - then it got sent on the National Benefits Center.....I haven't heard a peep online or anything yet (well besides getting my EAD/AP). Did they let you know that they were working on the case or transferring it or anything?

Nop after EAD/AP. just one month later when I received a text/e-mail stating that they send to us the welcome notice by mail

  7. if you check your NOA your receipts starts with MSC, is Missouri Service center, where the NBC office is located.

I think still on NBC, they never notified us that the case had been transferred to the local office in New York. almost it never happens. almost always they make the decision. When you AOS is from Visa K-1

  8. Hi Denisse, I just wanted to ask, basing from your timeline, is Chicago your USCIS field office? Or is it still the NBC?

Our NOA received dates are not that far behind (one day only actually). And the nearest field office is San Fernando Valley, although all my NOA's are from NBC. In their processing times it states that they are still processing Feb 2015 filers. When I checked your timeline, I saw Chicago, so I checked, and I saw that Chicago is still processing Jan 2015. But you got your GC earlier. So your case is giving me hope (Although I do know that each case varies).happens.
