You won't get much of anything out of your embassy until your case has been scheduled.
As for the NVC - not much there apart for be patient.

Need choose 1 and 4 - seems interview option was changed from 7.
I called NVC but no interview date was in the system. Perhaps will know in a day or two? I'll ring back tomorrow.

Finally some good news - case status changed to In Transit this afternoon to HCMC (VIETNAM) and an interview date has been scheduled by the NVC.
I call the NVC and they say the consulate will be contacting your spouse about the interview date? I am guessing wait for the email confirmation letter and/or call back tomorrow after the dust settles?
