  1. Hello All

Is there anyone out there that can tell me what does Packet 4 consists of? Also how long after sending in Packet 3 do you receive Packet 4?

Wow you guys really passed us up. We are standing still now. Congratulations and good luck on your speedy moving along.

Scroll, you should know by now - we don't do standing still unless it's absolutely necessary! :dancing:

Seriously :hehe:, waiting for Consulate is a whole lot different than the kind of stress immigration put you under - wishing you God's speed

Wayne or Yodrak, how did you know when your package arrives at the consulate? I was told ours was mailed from NVC on 1 May but when I did a search on DHL today I only found packages mailed to Bangkok on 27 Apr., 28 Apr and another today. I am hoping ours was one of the earlier ones but we still have not received packet 3. We have finished the medical and police report and have everything ready to mail to the consulate in order to get our interview appointment but am afraid to mail just yet as they will throw this away if they have not received our package from NVC. Any advice?

  2. Hi Ya'll,

We are currently waiting for the K-3 Package to reach the embassy in Bangkok (as it has left the NVC). Does anyone know if we actually have to wait to receive the Packet 3 forms from the Embassy or can we just download and get the medical now in order to save time?

    Thanks! B)

No, you do not have to wait for the packet 3 in order to get the medical exam done. Download the forms and go to one of the authorized hospitals.

Check out the SAWASDEE thread for BKK K1 visa info.

Thank you thai2luv.....we'll get right on it!

    Hi Jim

You do not have to wait you can download that packet my wife did that just the other day and she is sending the packet off tomorrow You can im her on here and inquire exactly what forms are needed for this packet. Her username on here is Rmhurd Good Luck...Wayne

Thanks Wayne.....but why would she be sending off the packet tomorrow? Wouldn't she just bring with her to the embassy for her interview?

I have already downloaded the forms.

  3. I knew there was something else...The NOA2, is that what is needed for my future husband to be able to come over to the US? And how long after it is given will he be able to come over if that is the case? AND..lol..if he is in the middle of the sale of his house here in the UK when it goes through, how long after it has gone through does he have to go over to the US? Meaning...is there a time frame from which the NOA2 is given and he is told that he can go that it expires?? Thanks again..

    Laura and Ian

PS...I have tried to upload a pic of my wonderful soon to be hubby and I but I seem to have some problems. Can anyone help me on this please?? TA!!

    Hiya Laura

Take a look at my timeline (signature) these are the steps after approval(NOA2)...your petition will be sent to NVC national visa center, they will issue your petition with a NVC case #, it will begin with LND,I know your in England with Ian, so when you know your case is approved at VSC, call the NVC 603-334-0700, to find out what your case number is, give em a week then call!!then you will have papers sent to you to be filled out & returned, Ian will have to fill out a DS-3032 agent form, this just makes you his agent, i think some people have emailed this to NVC when the time is right!!....you will get the AOS bill $70 round the same time, then you will get the I-864 afidavit of support!!,& IV bill $380, Ian will get the DS-230!! after all processing is dont & you get case complete at NVC they will forward your petition to London, Ian will need to have a medical once London has the papers you will beable to keep emailing the Embassy to find out when Ian's interview date is!!

    Good Luck

    Hi Euro,

We recently received our NOA2 and I am hoping to get a jump on the NVC requirements. I have downloaded the I-864 and will start preparing that form and associated paperwork but can not find DS-3032 on the USCIS or Department of State website. Do you know where this is available?

    Thank you,

  4. Hey All

Let me start off by saying Happy Easter to each and every one of you guys. Just think Next Easter we will be with our "Snuggle Bunnies".

I went online today and noticed that our I-129F was "Updtaed" today. I know that the federal government does not work on the week let alone a holiday weekend so can anyone please explain to me what is usually the process being conducted when you see that your case was "Updated"

Snuggle Bunnies???? Wayne, when I read this post I went on line to check mine....since we were approved within hours.....guess what? Our case was also updated on 16 April. Maybe I will stop logging on to the USCIS and just wait for your posts to see if anything is happening. B)

  7. Hi,

I was able to see my case online but the status never changed. It said even after I already had my visa, that "it takes USCIS 30 - 90 days to complete this kind of case"

I never got a snail-mail approval either. I simply decided to call NVC one day on November 9 2005 and found out they had already sent it to the embassy. Gosh, can you imagine the hurry I was in? I had had no time to prepare anything as I didn't know I was approved. 2 days after I called NVC I already received Pkt 3 from the embassy...

You should call NVc every once in a while

Hi Germangel.....Do you know if the phone number for NVC is published on the USCIS website or should we just call the NCSC number on our NOA1? Thank you!

The number for NVC is 603-334-0700

    Many Thanks Euro!!!

  9. My date is Feb. 9 . Please oh please let it happen by friday. I am saying a prayer tonight for all of us.

Well your prayers are close to being answered the date INS is now processing k3's dated Feb 6th

Maybe mine will get answere too? We have a date of 1 Feb and still have not heard a peep......kind of tough.

Are you able to go onlime and see your case?

Yes I am, there was a touch on 6 April but no status change. I was hoping the touch meant they started work on it and I would have a status change within a day or so......no such luck.
