I travel to go to the interview with my husband.  I schedule the day for the thursday at 10:30a. When my husband checked in they told him that embassy didnt do interviews that day. So, they wanted to rescheduled until January 31 2019. My husband spoke up and stated to the lady my wife is outside and she made the appointment. The lady at the window told him to come back at 1:30p. As my husband came back outside to sit with me with ate lunch then he lined back up at 1:00p. Once inside the Embassy she told my husband he did not have the right size passport pic and he would have to go back out to get some remade. So my husband came back outside running to get the passport pics made.  So he went back inside, he stated they made the people are reaffirm sit on another side of the room. Husband stated as he sat there they were not giving many visa out. They were more of denying most people. So when it came his turn to go the window he said it was a heavyset man sitting at the window smiling.  The man swore him in and told him to have a nice in America. After jumping through all the hoops the years and struggle we finally got blessed.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!  So Happy for the two of you; been waiting a long time.  I know you're glad that part of your life is over!!

I went for my reaffirmed case interview this morning with my wife but was asked to reschedule new appointment again because they don't interview reaffirmed  case on Friday . The lady told me only Tuesdays and Thursday are only days they scheduled an appointment for reaffirmed cases .

As at now I don't even know whether they are still available appointment date for me to reschedule again .

So sorry....why would they give you an appointment on a day that they don't have reaffirmed cases?  The Embassy has to do better.  Definitely not your fault.  It will work out and you will be rescheduled soon.  Stay positive!

Did you have to do rebuttal if so how long did it take to respond

I had to do a rebuttal and it took about 4 months to hear back.  On November 16 2016, the NOIR was issued and after sending my information, they reaffirmed the case March 27, 2017.  So it took about 4 grueling months.  Please continue to be confident that your case will soon be reaffirmed.  I know it's rough, but you made it this far, just hang in there a little bit longer.....

We have been waiting for the CSC to let us know SOMETHING about our returned case that they have had since April 6, 2017. What started out with them telling us 180days/6months, went to 1 year from the date they received it back, until now, they are saying 18+ months for a decision. I have contacted 2 senators, made info pass appointment, asked for case expedite, thought about withdrawing and starting over, asking for a case transfer, also considering Ombudsman request. I am full of emotions, and really don't know what is the best route for us.:help::cry::bonk:

    Greetings,

Please take a look at my timeline to get an example of the process.  We were put on Administrative Review in December 2015 and got approval October 2017.  It seems when a petition is places on Administrative Review, it takes an average time of 2 years to get reaffirmed.  The good part was that my husband received a 10 year green card when he arrived in the usa, as we had been married three years by the time it was finally approved.  Just hang in there a little longer.  It is a very stressful process, but it will work out through your patience and dedication to your relationship.  I have found that the senators, ombudsman, lawyers really cannot do anything to speed the process.  Their actions are very limited.  You and your spouse have to 'prove' your case.  I would advise you to start writing a rebuttal and gather more supporting documents and affidavits from friends/family so you will be prepared when the NOIR arrives.  KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND HEART OPEN.

Oh yes I keep and make copies of everything. I have a large envelope ready to mail off of more photo's of us with his family, and letters from friends and family, supporting us.

Also, please make sure you have information that shows joint accounts (bank, insurance, beneficiary, property, etc.).  They like to see that type of paperwork to show financial ties.

  6. Greetings VJ Family!!  I just wanted everyone to know my Emperor, love of all of my lifetimes, arrived in Philadelphia, PA on October 27, 2017!!!!  Medaasi ooo for all of the encouragement, positive vibes, tears and laughs.  Although the process was arduous, we made it through, just as we all will.  Keep your heads up, Love Is Forever & Ever so never stop letting the light of love lead the way.  Be blessed, balanced and whole.

Congrats to all those that have gotten approved. Our status is still saying as of Feb 1, 2017 we received your case from the Ghana Embassy and it's being reviewed and will be contacted by mail when we are finished. Still no word. We started the visa process Sept 14th 2015 and he was denied on a 121g in Aug 2016 and no word since then. I've called and called but get nothing. We will never give up but some days it's so hard to remain strong.

Thank you so much!!  Please stay encouraged, everything will work out for you.  We were denied December 2015 and approved through the reaffirmed process.  Unfortunately, it takes time, it is hard, but you will make it through. I am sending you positive vibes to keep your head up!!

Yes it was a reaffirmed case. It went very well but what I realized was that they pay  special attention to reaffirmed cases and they don't waste time.

The Consular was like, sir I will take u thru the documents u have submitted. Then he pulled out my birth cert and asked.

    Ques:

1.whats the name of ur father and mother.

    2. Have u been married before  this marriage?

    3. Do u have kids

    4. How many people lives with ur wife.

After the ques. he returned all the supporting documents to me ( whatsapp chats, emails, call logs, birth cert etc) and kept the affidavit of support, police report, medical report and taxes.

Then he gave me a blue  sheet of paper and said contact the address on the paper to collect ur passport in 2 weeks. U have been approved congratulations .

    Congrats oooooo!!!!

So glad to be an inspiration!!  But the whole VJ family has inspired me, just to know that there are so many ppl going through the same issue and we can find genuine support.  No matter how long it takes we will all be successful!

Ohhhh there’s been a lot of tears, anger and frustrations but in the end I’ve learned patience and acceptance since it’s outta my hands and when God feels the timings right, he’ll see us thru.  Thank you.  I will keep u posted and u do the same.

@dmh59 and @Sundee We applied January 2015, first interview was November 2015, 2nd interview in December 2015, revoked and reaffirmed in March 2017 and finally approved yesterday.  I have traveled twice a year also while waiting, but I didn't travel to Ghana at all this year.  They even apologized to my husband yesterday for the long wait. The CO was even smiling as he approached the window because he knew he was the visa was approved.  It was less than 10 minutes that he spoke to the CO. It seems in 2015 they were giving everyone 221g's and now they are cleaning up.  Some ppl just do horrible things to others because they believe they have control over other ppl's lives and they judge too much.  I am praying for all of us going through this journey.  Remember Stand strong and tall in Love because hate and fear are always lurking to bring us down.  We all shall WIN!!!  Stay encouraged and know what we are going through is definitely a test of wills, but we all shall pass and have some great stories to tell.  Don't let anyone steal the joy that we have found.....Wholeness, boundless energy and blessings

Happy for you.. I'm just going through this process and it appears that the Ghana Embassy denies many for a visa.

Very sad as we are married and they deny way too many..

Medaasi ooo, yes it is so sad they put ppl through so many changes to prove their relationship.  Things will be better soon....

  12. Well VJ Family: My King's VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED!!!!  Thanks for the support and prayers!!  They asked the following questions:

     -When we met?

    - My first visit?

    - When did we marry?

    - Where do I work?

    - How many children do we have?

That was it.  Of course he was there since 6 am, but it was well worth the wait!!  I pray for reaffirmed petitions and that this journey will be over soon for everyone going through this arduous process......Stand in LOVE!  The devil is a liar!

@Boohene102314. Girl u are so funny  😂😂😂😂😂😂 they do seem to hire ppl that have unique mental issues. 😂😂😂😂 but it's true, I think that lady co  has personal issues and she took it on us and our spouses, shame, she is so judgemental.

@trustGLol, I was doing my best to be diplomatic.  Some ppl don't like to see others happy. But we will be happy regardless of what anyone thinks!!

Yes, they do seem to hire ppl that have unique mental issues.  You definitely have to stay alert and attentive, no matter what. That's why it is good for those with a common goal to support each other.  You are not alone. Please stay strong; you and your family will be in my prayers.
