Congrats. How long did it take between interview and visa issued? My wife's interview is on May 9th in Mumbai.

My wife had interview on Friday at 7:30 am at Mumbai Embassy, it went well and she got approved!!!!

Spoke to NVC last night and was told that they scheduled the interview on 5/9. So excited right now. Those who have Mumbai as their consulate, you should call NVC to find out when the interview will be.

No not yet. My CC was on 3/4, still now news on the interview date. Hopefully we both will know something within the week.

Based on previous posts, it seems most consulates--including Mumbai--start scheduling interviews during the last week of the month. I looked at dwheels76's interview spreadsheet and there have been instances where Mumbai has scheduled as early as the 24th of the month. They will be scheduling for the month of May now. You'll get your interview by the end of this week or next week. you're almost done, hang in there.

Thank you. I had two scan dates. Even though I sent the both the files together, they scanned them separately. The first scan date was for Jan 22nd and the second, Feb 1st.

I got 3N/As ?. Called to confirm. Just hoping to hear soon about the interview date.

I had my scan date on the 22nd of January and still no cc . I tried calling them but still no update. NVC is taking for ever with my case. Hoping and praying that we don't get checklisted.

My scan date was January 22nd. I called today (one month) and they said they were still reviewing my case and to give them up to 45 days.

My scan date is the same. Hopefully we should be hearing something soon. I am just hoping for no checklists.

I had the same issue, where I misspelled my wife's first name in the DS-260. I emailed the NVC with the biographical page of her passport and within few weeks it was corrected.

When you email them, make sure to put your case number in the subject line. Also include your name, your husband's name and his date of birth in the body of the email.

What do you mean by Employment letter? DO you mean the letter that states what your current salary is to provide with your AOS document? Speaking as an HR person, I would wait until it's almost time to submit your documents so you have the most recent date on the letter from your employer. That way the NVC sees that you provided everything as current as possible and there's no doubt. That's what I plan to do when I provide my letter, pay slips and W2's.

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy to see another India petition get approved. I think it takes an average of 2-3 weeks for the NVC to receive your petition, then another at least 2 weeks for them to assign a Case number and Invoice Identification number. I've read that people start calling the NVC after 2 weeks to see if they received it. After NVC confirms they received your petition, call at least once a week to see if they assigned the case number and IIN. Don't wait to receive the physical welcome letter from NVC to get your case number and IIN. They may not send it immediately for whatever reason.

You're well on your way! I hope you have all your documents ready. If not, start gathering them now so there isn't any delay in the process from your end.

Same as you . I tried to call them today and gave me the same information (that they are still working on May 2nd). They also said they have been experiencing lot of cases in the past few weeks.

They are getting their information from the website below. But the problem is that the website says that it was updated on September 30th.
