  1. My wife had interview on Friday at 7:30 am at Mumbai Embassy, it went well and she got approved!!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

will post Mumbai embassy review soon.....

Thanks Visajourney for all the support., special Thanks to Dwheels76...

Congrats. My wife has hers on May 9th at the Mumbai Embassy. If you could include the type of questions that you wife was asked in your review, that would be appreciated. I will be there with her as well for the interview. Thanks.

  2. Based on previous posts, it seems most consulates--including Mumbai--start scheduling interviews during the last week of the month. I looked at dwheels76's interview spreadsheet and there have been instances where Mumbai has scheduled as early as the 24th of the month. They will be scheduling for the month of May now. You'll get your interview by the end of this week or next week. you're almost done, hang in there.

    Thanks for the info :D

  3. My husbands first name had an error. Uscis had it corrected on the approvel notice .But iscs

My husbands first name had a typo error .Uscis had it corrected on the notice .But nvc has not yet .I submitted all the docs .Is this something to worry about?? We have emailed nvc. But no reply.

I had the same issue, where I misspelled my wife's first name in the DS-260. I emailed the NVC with the biographical page of her passport and within few weeks it was corrected.

When you email them, make sure to put your case number in the subject line. Also include your name, your husband's name and his date of birth in the body of the email.

    Hope this helps.

  4. This topic has been discussed so many times here, really would be nice if people read before asking, especially the first post of this thread.

Yes, yes sir you should send both packages before your fees are paid because you will gain precious time.

I warn you, read carefully about the I-864, there are 3 or 4 different versions that are used according to your economic situation.

Good luck to you and please read the guides. Its nothing personal, it makes it easy on every body.

    Thanks you for your help.

  5. What do you mean by Employment letter? DO you mean the letter that states what your current salary is to provide with your AOS document? Speaking as an HR person, I would wait until it's almost time to submit your documents so you have the most recent date on the letter from your employer. That way the NVC sees that you provided everything as current as possible and there's no doubt. That's what I plan to do when I provide my letter, pay slips and W2's.

Thank you. Yea I will just wait till NVC asks for it.

  6. Congratulations!!! I'm so happy to see another India petition get approved. I think it takes an average of 2-3 weeks for the NVC to receive your petition, then another at least 2 weeks for them to assign a Case number and Invoice Identification number. I've read that people start calling the NVC after 2 weeks to see if they received it. After NVC confirms they received your petition, call at least once a week to see if they assigned the case number and IIN. Don't wait to receive the physical welcome letter from NVC to get your case number and IIN. They may not send it immediately for whatever reason.

You're well on your way! I hope you have all your documents ready. If not, start gathering them now so there isn't any delay in the process from your end.

Thank you for your help. Can I start getting the employment letter already?
