  1. My Wife rein arrived on a CR-1 Visa on April 10th, We applied for a Social Security number on the 14t at the local office, but now we dont know what to do. What do we have to do next, we were very sure of ourselves with visa journeys and assawa sites help but now we are very confused. and calling uscis didnt help much, the operator sounded more confused then us. From what i gleaned we need to file a I751, but talking to Uscis makes me think we need to file a I-485 first for a green card, then wait for the green card to nearly expire(ninety days before) and file a I-751.

PLease help, Rein is here on CR_1 visa which she entered USA on April 10th, we filed for SSN# at local office, and now we need to know what move to make.

    Thanks in advance

    tom & Rein

  2. I am going to go the K-3 route-, if my father sponsors my future wife financially, will the US Consulate scrutinize us?

If your planning on marrying at any time, i would suggest this for fastest easiest way to get a visa. If you have doubts about a co sponsor i cant help you, because i dont know the Manila embassy. I made enough to qualify my Pinay wife. But I do know the absolute fastest way to get your wife here is to move to PI for about 4-5 months, get married and file the papers as American living abroad. then most all of your papers are filed directly thru the embassy and the process is complete in months. I f you can take a semester off and do this I would recommend it. Other then that I would post around on all these site until you can get a striaght answer to your co sponsor question from a few people who have done it. Also you most likely will get no reliable info or help from USCIS or Dept of State regarding manila embassy. None knows each others policy and if they say they do dont believe them. I got different answers to same question many times during my year of filing papers.

good luck whichever route you choose, wish i could be of more help

  3. the long and short,

long, my wife diagnosed with tb more then 12 months ago, I payed for 4 months of Meds in the province then she moved to pasay, MM.

Then I sent her 8 months ago to a St. Lukes Doctor to be diagnosed and prescribed treatment. She has been on the meds for 8 months but the Doc seems to think she needs four more, because she could only handle low dosage. She was told by him that after one months treatment she is no longer communicable or contagious, and we dont know if the StLukes exam will allow her visa this March27 interview at embassy. The doc said she shouldnt have a problem but he wont write a letter stating he believes she is clear to travel. He says, according to my wife, that they are doctors and know what they are doing. I just know we better not have to start from scratch on these meds.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Even more so if you have medical or personal knowledge of a like situation

    God Bless

I feel so ill right now

too get so close and feel so far

  5. I am pretty much done with my papers here in USA and soon it will be up to my wife in the Philippines to complete her biometrics and interview.

We are adopting a child in Manila as well and I have just sent the filled out864 and all fees have been paid, Can anyone give me an estimate of time left till we will have our interview?

We are also adopting a child in Manila and i am told I need to attend one adoption hearing per the court and I cannont afford two trips, I want to also attend the visa interview and fly home with my wife.

So if anyone can give me a rough guess how long it takes from 864 to interview in manila I would really appreciate it. I cannot get even a rough guess for interview date from Dept of State or USCIS

  6. For I-864EZ AOS- If I have the official IRS tax filing transcripts for the 3 most recent years do I still have to send copies of W2s for the same 3 years?

you are only required to send one, i had work injury tax free disabilty insurance pay and it made my income seem 1/3 lower then it actually was for 2003 and 2004, so i only sent most recen year 2005 showing 40k+. if your income for each years is above poverty+25% then go ahead and send them all. it doesnt hurt but isnt required.

  7. Ok if you glance at my timeline I filed I130 for my wife in Philippines in June. I filed I129 in July yet still no second NoA for I129.

But I just sent in the Proof of Support fee for the I130 to Dept of State and we have a case number for our I130. Which should I plan on using to get my wife here? We know the pros and cons of each and we just prefer to have her here the fastest.

How long now is everyones best guess for the I130 petition?

    thanks

    tom

129f for wife NoA1 july 19th,2006 (new form I believe had imbra questions)

still not even in automated system

I have a misdemeanor domestic violoence conviction for holding my daughters mothers hand, i wonder if they are disqualifying me and dont want too say it, at least I have heard some compassion once or twice from some case officers.

  9. aussie, you make my point for me, I understand completely how both processes work and which is for which type of visa.

Streamline this process, dont make people hedge their bets, whats the point in filing for a non immigrant visa for my wife as once she is here she will need to do AOS to become permenant.

STOP MAKING TWO OFFICERS WORK ON TWO CASES FOR THE SAME PURPOSE FOR THE SAME PERSON AND EVERYONE!!!!!! WILL HAVE THEIR VISA SOONER. ELIMINATE THE THE DOUBLE OFFICE WORK> MAKE the I-130 and K-3 visa a one step all included process. Wouldn't eliminating all k-3 129f spousal visas speed up all the rest?

why cant the approval of a 130 petition create a non immigrant 129K visa automatically? You would still need to complete the interview and PoS and pay the visa fee, then when the bene arrives allow the 130 to finish and have the Original I130 papers and later issued permentant visa apply to the now USA resident, again eliminating more local officers work (Why is there two processes needed? You know something isnt right with a process when you have to fill out a form for a spouse to enter this country that states they are a fiance, isnt it obvious to all that this process is broken and needs to be fixed??)

why cant the approval of a 130 petition create a non immigrant 129 visa automatically? only because someone says it cant. its the same logic as life act applied in a streamlined light.

Sorry for ranting, but i was self employed for 13 years, and if something broke I had to fix it. Give me two weeks and enough authority and we would all have our visas in six months tops, at least all who deserve it. streamlining this would even allow for us to keep out more criminals.

  10. They sell flowers and gifts for the PI and Abhem was so patient and helpful I thought I would post her site here to help her out. Im just a guy here in the USA with a wife in the PI and need to ocassionally give flowers on special day.

There is not any forum for posting good experiences with international companies so I though I would mention it here.

look at the site then call and be sure to ask for Abhem

  11. You both miss my point, I know Love is Love for all involved. My point is the rediculous system for k-3 visa which actualy ties up two case officers at the same time. All I am saying is once a married couple recieves a 797 stating their 130 is approved, the k-3 process should be automatic as opposed to two seperate processes in two different offices half way across the country. ELIMINATE THE REDUNDANCY and all of would be sleeping better sooner in our lives. and what with the neglible info you can extract from the officers on the phone or in person how is a person to know which process will actually move faster, it could be at a close point in each process and there are fees needed at times, so should i pay the 130 fees for processing permenant immigrant status then watch the money fly out the window as the 129 passes it up right after the requested 130 fees are asked? and at same time they are asking PoI papers and visa fee?

This process sucks and they can make it much easier with the slightest thought and common knowledge. Doesnt anyone in the administration see the insane red tape and ever have a light bulb go off in their heads to say" hey this could be easily fixed and free up officers at the same time so we can process more cases in half the time"

Also i was told by uscis officer that k-3 dont really need to comply with imbra as these cases are already married couples and its assumed the beneficiary knows of any previous faults in the petitioner.

the topic of a married couple having precedence over any other visa is a different topic and could be open for much debate, If I remember reading the "life Acts" propaganda it states its for the purpose of reuniting families faster.

I am looking at dates on this site and there is no ryhme or reason to the dates and who is approved faster, I do believe some people post fraudulant info. I mean I see one that says a k-3 from start to finish in something like 100 days start to finish.

  12. Why ARE K-1 getting processed faster then K-3's at an astounding rate? look at the dates? this whole system is so screwed up. I file a 130 to qualify my 129. So the dreaded USCIS spends time in one office pushing my 130 papers while another office pushes my 129 papers. then when (SUPPOSEDLY) the 129 moves faster and is approved the 130 is pretty much useless as we will need to AoS locally after my bene arrives. THIS IS SO RIDICULOUSY STUPID. WHY ISNT A K-3 VISA ISSUED IMMEDIATELY UPON APPROVAL OF A 130 arroval noa, APPROVAL? approval of what? isnt this 130 now a useless process? WHY THE TWO PROCESSES BACKING THINGS UP? WHY ARENT THERE MORE CASE OFFICERS? WE PAY THEIR SALARIES AND ITS A NO COST AGENCY BECAUSE WE WHO NEED IT FOOT THE BILL WHILE OTHERS WALK OVER OUR BORDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get 2 reciepts for my 129 petition and wait now 3 months for noa 2 or an rfe, supposedly according to one is a good number the other isnt then according to a dif uscis officer my previous misdemeanor shouldnt mean anything because we are married, but they have the complete case from start to close and even proof of early termination of probation. one thing they told me is the volume of calls takes away time for the officers to process their cases as they have to do phone time on rotation. maybe we should all not call for a month and they can actually do something.

JEEEEEEEZ WHEN WILL THEY PULL THEIR HEADS OUT AND GIVE MARRIED COUPLE A SUPREME PRIORITY!!!!!!! THERE IS NO DOUBT WE WILL MARRY WE ALREADY ARE!!!!!!

    I HATE THIS

  13. I only have one bit of knowledge to give to you, the Department of Justice will have the full record of any Criminal case a person has been convicted of. I dont know how close the relationship is between Dept of Justice and Dept of State.

Good luck, Are you married or petitioning a fiancee? I also have a criminal record for holding an ex girlfriends hand:(

  14. Can I a copy of the 325a i used when filing the intitial I130 application now that i recieved my NOA 1 on that process? Or do my wife and I need to fill out another 325a each to file with the 129f? Also do i really need to include a bunch of proof of relationship even we are married in this 129f package?

are the any expert immigration officials or ex officials on this site who answer these questions?

    thanks in advance

    tom

  15. Hi,

I met my wife Feb 05' , we married march 24th 06, I've traveled to PI twice and love it there, we even built a small house in Province.

My wife was married and we went thru an annulment. Now we need to adopt the child she has been mother too since birth as she has never legally adopted the foundling child.

Right now we are about to start adoption process and I feel so lost and scared of what I dont know.

I dont know the proceedures for US immigration of an adopted child and find myself sleepless and without appetite wondering if the adoption will cause us problems to reunite.

Its truely amazing how much you can miss a person.

Well I know it may seem a black intro to myself but thats where we both are right now.
