bringing photo album is a great & convenient way for a consulate to look at your photos. Don't worry they are not gonna get your album although the may ask for a few photos and then they will return it again when you get your visa.

I advice on telling the truth. I had an overstaying family member when I applied for my visa and I dint lie about it. It wasnt even asked on my interview day and I passed w/o problems

So do I need to renew my passport when I am applying for AOS and eventually will be a US Citizen?? Whats the use? I am confused. In regards to that, my passport will expire on or before my aos interview date.
Any info?

Hi me again.
Im sending checks for my AOS application. When will these get deposited??
As soon as they received my application (sending thru FedEx - so within 3-4 biz days)?
As soon as an officer looks over it?
After getting interviewed?
Or when we are already approved?
These are big money, just want to make sure my bank has enough when they get our checks.

We filed for our 2005 taxes last month. Do we have to wait for a response from the IRS (notice letter or something) for filing Affidavit of Support for AOS application? OR is the File Copy of our taxes the one they need?
Please advice. Thanks

We are preparing our AOS forms. I am the non USC and I just noticed that my passport is about to expire September of this year. Do I need to have it renewed now b4 aos filing? Or in a later time? Does this matter when filing AOS?
Thanks for reading.

hey I am mexican and my husband and I are doing it legally! I'd rather do it legally and wait than being sorry in the end and regret it forever.

So I am now preparing MY AOS, and I can't find my NOA2. I only have the first one. NOA stands for Notice of Action/Approval right? The green paper that says our petition was approved? I dont remember if we got a 2nd notice. I have searched everywhere and all I found was one NOA. Can someone show me what a NOA2 looks like? And if I can't find it, omg what should I do?! It's a requirement for this AOS!

I am thinking on whether I apply an EAD or not based from my situation. You see, I got here through a K1 visa and my hubby and I are planning on applying for AOS soon. We have a baby. She is just 5 months old and my husband doesnt want me to work until she gets to preschool, w/c will be 3+ yrs from now. My husband just wants me to dedicate my time to our baby and be a housewife basically.
Since I won't be working till on a later time, I don't necessarily need to apply for an EAD right? Or is this mandatory regardless? And if I do get my green card, and maybe by that time I would be ready to work, I can go and do so w/o an EAD right?
Please explain somebody?

Thanks so much duluxdog and gag.
Another question, how long will an EAD last? I mean does that expire or something?

Hi i am new in this forum.
I am confused between an EAD and the I-765 (applic. for employment authorization).
Are these 2 the same? Otherwise, what are their differences? Should these 2 be filed for AOS?
Also, (im sorry im asking a lot) How long is the waiting time before I get approved of these forms?
Thank you so much for reading. I am just so confused right now. Any help will definitely be appreciated

wanna make it short. its been a year & 3 months since my I-94 card expired AND we have not filed for AOS. Why? Because my wife got pregnant & I am not the richest man on earth. keeping your feet on the ground to survive really is not easy, esp when a baby is around. We did not have the $ to afford to file. Although... we married within the 90 day. Are we in so much trouble? We are now preparing the papers.... but q is, is it going to be denied? help!
anyone who filed after 194 expiration experiences?
