Whooohooo! My husband got his passport back today with visa! But the American embassy in Ghana didn't contact him, he just had to go check.

I think we have to go to the DHL office...I've been calling the embassy and they've been giving generic answers to wait for email from DHL and it's been almost two weeks..I think they think I'm NIV..So I will go to DHL Monday to see.

Long as you had PCC in to NVC before expiring. They are all good for 1 year. So no you don't need a new one.

So do I need another police clearance for interview in Ghana?

Is police report good for one year or I need another one for interview after six months of issuance in ghana.please help

Filing a new petition in this circumstance is not advisable, doing so will not increase chances of a better outcome (if anything, you can end up in the same situation). Furthermore, you would have to withdraw the old one without the opportunity to rebut the reasons why the visa was denied in the first place. Since approved spousal visa petitions never expire, USCIS will have to act on it once they receive it. USCIS could also simply reaffirm their original approval of the petition without the petitioner needing to do anything (this is a rare circumstance, what I'll explain next is what you should prepare for). If they send a Notice of Intent to Revoke (NOIR), the notice will state why it is being sent along with a deadline to send a rebuttal (usually 30 days). An NOIR rebuttal must address all reasons in the notice. A proper rebuttal does not guarantee reaffirmation of the petition nor does reaffirmation guarantee that a visa will ultimately be issued.

I never knew one can file a new family based petition b after being denied at the embassy before it goes back to uscis.

I think you should just tell them the truth about the dv application cos they do fill the firm without properly consulting the applicant.dont try and send any divorce document to them cos I think they already know the truth and co is trying to test you.

I had a letter be stuck in Chicago for 7 days, but that was over holidays.

Not saying it will help or not. But NVC is not binded by any contract. Yes they say it will take 30 days but again it's just estimate. What i have learn is it is a lottery what happens at NVC if you get through it quickly then it is your luck otherwise you are just stuck and then you can only prey.

My checklist scan date is not received yet. They said they got the document on 6th January.

1st scan date 17nov.cc 30th dec.but I had a checklist for my daughter aos which im300% sure we sent it.the waiting Is killing. And above all my country has a long wait line for interview.
