  1. Hi. My dad's petition was approved from his sister under F4 category. His sister is unemployed but most likely have assets etc. She is receiving pension etc. I live in US permanent resident with 3 yrs income tax and good income, i just wanted to make the papers less complicated as my aunt live in CA i live in Kansas, i will help my aunt in this AOS form, can she just claim unemployed and can I just be joint sponsor so I can provide all the documents easily ? Thanks

  2. ***Moved from IR-1/CR-1 Process & Procedures to General Immigration-Related Discussion.***

    **Moderator hat off**

Your POE will not be in Kansas because no airline offers any direct or nonstop flights to airports in that state from any location outside of the US.

You will be able to fly to Kansas from the first US airport you land at, that's not a problem. You will need to provide CBP with your correct address so your paperwork will be processed correctly.

Oh ok. I got it now. Thanks. ?

  3. So I'm getting a green card as soon as I applied for it in US, I'm getting 10year green card.

My question is, my petitioner is in Tn and our first choice of address is Tn. But we want to relocate in Kansas. Is it ok to directly go to KS and just address the green card there?. Thanks.

  4. Anybody here heard about manila embassy postponed your interview because nvc mail has not arrived? Its happened to me..last December 22 i called nvc and they told me thats my spouse interview date will be this feb 4 2016. Now my wife got an email 3 days ago about her interview will be postponed.. i told her just go to your interview.. today she went and they told her that they couldn't interview her because they dont have her package from nvc. I ask nvc a week before the interview and they said they mailed it on January 18.. now embassy said they dont know where the package from nvc went.. any clue or what should i do.. thanks

Maybe you should ask NVC the tracking number of your case.

  5. Has anyone experienced an ungrateful pinay, k1 wife? My wife has stressed me out with waiting for her ead combo card that I have shingles now, which is unbelievable pain. Everything is the end of the world. The Philippines is so great.

She got the combo card today, and I find out about it because she posted on her Facebook about it. No thank you, no I am sorry you are sick, nothing.

She has been asking to go back to the Philippines and I told her to wait until she can work and she can pay for her ticket back. I am not spending any more money on her. She isn't a gold digger and could care less about being a citizen.

She is just a stubborn, immature province girl that cannot be confronted when she does something I dislike. She is the queen of Tampo. A simple comment of how I feel something is lacking on her part turns into days of silent treatment. She complains that she is stuck in the house without work for 8 months.

We had no rfe's during fiancé visa or AOS. I am working 2 jobs to support us. We eat Filipino food 24 hours a day. She has a great internet connection and the top of the line pinoy directv package. I have done everything I can to make her comfortable while she is waiting to adjust status. She believes every word that comes out of another pinoy/pinay's mouth as the gospel as opposed to anything I have to say. I even have a good job lined up for her that starts at $14 hour.

No thanks, no compassion, just stress and drama. I think now that she has a travel permit, she needs to work and take a visit back to the Philippines to appreciate what I am trying to do for her. Can she travel with the advance parole before AOS and come back without trouble? I am under the impression that if I don't go to the AOS interview and pull the affidavit of support, she can go back and I am not responsible for her anymore?

    Opinions anyone?

How old is her? And you?

  6. My NBI has no AKA but it has all my surnames, from my middle name, maiden name to husband's surname. And when I got it I told NBI it's for US Immigration requirement. Is that fine?

  7. Thanks everyone. Well I am for IR1 not CR1. He petitioned me 11 mos. after he went back to the US since he stayed here with me for like 9 months. Does that matter if he petitioned me 11mos after he got back to work. :|we have joint sponsor plus he's also working.

  8. Hi everyone. Finally my interview is set. However, I am nervous. I need some advices,. How do you think it'll turn out in the embassy Manila. Please I need an encouragement. :|

  9. Well technically, supervisor review takes about 42 days so they still have a week to process your DS-260, so I wouldn't worry till the 42 days are up. Often, the DS260 is the last to be reviewed, they wait with this till everything else is complete.

It took them like SIX MONTHS to review my DS260. Patience really is a virtue when you're dealing with NVC.

Just for DS260, 6 months? I called and they said, my other documents are already finished and ok. Only the DS260 is the one they're waiting to be reviewed.
