Actually you can call them between 6:00PM-11:00PM at night PK time. but mostly the number is busy. repeat it until it rings and there is options to choose. it takes minimum 15 minutes to 30 wait to talk to the rep. good luck!

I was also suspacting her answer but She told me that the case is under AP. than i asked her i know it is under AP but whats currently our case going through? she said. I see the embassy is doing reviewing your docs. may be she gave me some hints that going on behind the scenes.

I just called and talked to NVC operator, I asked her whats the current status of the case? She told me to wait a moment, after 2 minutes waiting. She told me that Embassy is currently reviewing your case documents.

What do you think? Is it good sign?

I had oath/fingerprints yesterday and my visa is finally issued after 2 years 4 months in AP. I belong to F3 category. The process was quite straightforward. Hardly took 5 minutes. No questions asked. The US consulate guy performed some checks on the system and said I am going to issue you the visa. You will get it within 10 days. And today the status is changed to `issued`.

Pray that all of you waiting, get your visa soon.

Hi everyone. Good news for us. MashaAllah My wifes visa has finally been issued. Alhamdolillah

A long ap process finally comes to an end. Thank u everyone for your help and support here. This forum has been great to have questionsand queries etc answered along with providing vital info regarding timeframes for processing etc.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have as i would be happy to help by proviiding any info i can. In the mean time, for the rest of you suffering ap, all i can say is that be strong, pray to God and your time will come sooner or later inshaAllah. I know its very difficult but time eventually does pass. Take care of urselves.

Embassy seems busy after Nov 09. No updates. I wish the gora really knew what is affection in spouses. Sorry being emotional! Actually hamaray paki working in embassy are mean. Real jerks

I have been under AP 3 months and 11 days. I got 9 updates during that time. the last update was Nov-09-2015.

Its difficult to remember whens one got an update

everything we did was genuine. may be they are humanbeing they suspact something on our case that we mentioned or told truelly.

The dilemma is our wedding was very simple,just 10,20 family members. SO only 10,20 pics of that day..... I told CO this is what I have, but I do have a lot of other pics of us together, I think wedding day pics was more important to CO. Fair enough

I think the reason they put me AP is that my name is more Islamic name the first name, second name and last name are all most popular Islamic names. May ALLAH help us. ameen....

As i see your timeline, they ask more pictures. Mine I had all evidences with more than 100 pictures but they didnot ask anything. the suprising thing was when i came at the window where the CO was waiting. after I read aoth. I looked CO's desk i saw my case file withh all the papers we summited. but there was also white letter with marked 221G AP on the desk. that was the moment i realised they put me under AP. imagine The CO already decided the AP before the interview. and finally the CO gave me the same letter. I was shocked.

you are right, mostly they start updates after 60 days. I saw only date updates but not ready/nonimmigrant/ etc. the creation date is stil same. I hope they will issue our visa before Jan, 2016. InshaAllah.

Mine also. Last update was Nov 09. No change after that.

yeah. sometimes. last update was 9 nov. 2015. but updates dont change nothing.

Senator can inquire on your behalf, but it will not speed up process.....

Whats the ability of senator can do for case under AP?

I am going to contact our senator to make follow up our case. The case is under AP for 3 months. we e-mailed the embassy 3 times and they told us different answers that make us confused and frustrated. once they told us that our case is in its final processing and last e-mail reply they told us another answer that our case is pending under AP.

Any advice please?

That is another long process. If they know that AP will take long time than they must return the passport. we have life to do.

I heard that if the case is near its completion. most they speed the process and send the passport with visa. any idea about this?

Sometimes they send the passport back right away and other times it takes an email from a congressman to get it.

If they said your visa is approved then don't worry about what status shows. AP is normal for some people like you. but sometimes Ap is not good.

What does your friend plan to do about his 7 day visa. Can he fly to the USA or will he try to get more time from the embassy?

one of my friend got his visa yestarday. it is vilid for 7days. I dont know why the embassy is doing this.

Updates mean they are working on your case. I tell all the members to be prepared for the embassy to call and ask if you can fly to the United States in 1 month or 2. They gave my husband a visa that was only good for 1 month. If they call you must tell them you can fly within a short period of time or they may make you wait months or years more for the visa.

4 months without any update.thats too long. case Update is clearly good sign. atleast humanbieng touched your casefile, I hope you will hear good news soon.

No changes in first 4 months, then I emailed once then they updated. AND

Now in last every 10 days they are updating. (3 updates).

Updates usually means they are doing some work on the case. How many times you got updates since the interview date?
