  1. Hi guys, need help answering few questions regarding DS160 form:

1- Travel information: have you made specific travel plans? yes/no. My case is in transit to Algiers embassy, and the waiting time for an interview is unknown, should I answer no and provide them an estimate date? or yes.

2- person/entity paying for your trip? In my case my famiy gonna help me a bit with that, should I just put myself? and do I have to show them my or my family proof of income? I'm still student,

3- Is it ok to fill the ds160 before embassy receives our petition? knowing that NVC sent it 1 week ago nd is still in transit according to CEAC tracker.

Thank you in advance for your replies :)

We filled out the ds160 right after it was approved by the USCIS about 2 week before it got to the NVC. You don't have to wait.

  5. Words can not describ how i feel right. Just got the "Petition Approved" email, text, app notification and what not. My NOA1 was Jun 18th. It's been a real journey with you guys here for the last 30 days. I wish you all a very happy ending on your journey & a great new beginning with the one you love.

  6. Hello everyone, i'm trying to figure out if i need a co-sponsor or not. Last year I made well above the poverty line for 3 people. i claimed my son on my tax return, therefore 3 people in my household including my fiancee.

My financial situation for 2014 is as followed:

Earnings: ($16,600 in wages + $10,500 in the GI Bill) adds up to $27,100

Assets: ($16,000 in checking account + $7,000 car worth) adds up to 23,000 divide by 5 equal to $4,600

My concern is my job my current job is a paid internship/seasonal and will go 'till December. i'm getting about $600 a every week and about $1,500 every month from the GI bill. I'll keep getting the GI bill 'till May of next year (if i graduate on time :content: )

So my question is do i still need a co-sponsor even though i made and is still making more than what is required? thank you for your help.
