  1. I'm getting so anxious! We sent our application by regular mail (stupid us we didn't put a tracker on it) from Syracuse, NY on Tuesday Sept. 8th and we haven't heard a THING. No emailed NOA1 or anything! I'm getting worried in didn't arrive or something! The check hasn't been cashed either!

My fiancé mailed it out with UPS without any tracking, it took almost 3 weeks to get to the Lockbox, so dont worry, it will get there :)

Maybe try to ask at the post office? They could tell us where our package was, even though we didnt have a tracking number. If you're that anxious you should probably try :)

  2. Thank you so much for the replies!

We sent out the package on 22. August. According to the UPS website delivery with standard mail should take around 2-3 days at the most so they should've gotten it by now, it's almost 2 weeks...

@ckibs: If yours took 8 days total then I think we don't have to panic too much yet, thank you that helps a lot :)

@cristina16: That's what I figured too, that UPS is a bit faster. I'm gonna ask my fiancé to check if he has the bill still and check with airway bill! Thanks so much!

  3. Congratulations to all of you who got approved so far!! That's awesome and so motivating to read about it :D

We're still waiting for our NOA1...

My fiancé sent the package to the Lewisville address using UPS, unfortunately without any receipt or tracking :( we haven't gotten a NOA1 yet, neither per email nor per normal letter.

Should I get worried? It seems NOA1 get sent pretty fast once they receive it.

  4. I would put "Silesia, Germany - now part of Poland". I was born in West Germany, and wondered if I should put "West Germany" or just "Germany" on my G325A. Since my birth certificate (in German) says "West Germany" (in German of course), I used that on my paperwork. I got through just fine.

Thank you for the feedback, unfortunately there's not enough space to write all of that, so I guess I'm going to just put Germany there and explain in it an attachment.

That should prevent them from asking any further - at least I hope so lol

  5. Hello everyone!

My boyfriend and I are planning on starting the K1 very soon, so I'm currently preparing the first couple of things.

I'm having a small problem with the G-325a, to which I haven't found an answer on here yet, but maybe someone can help? :)

On the form there's the section where I put in my fathers name, first name etc. The problem I'm having with is the "City and country of birth" part and the "City and country of residence" one.

    1. My dad was born in a town that back then (in 1933) was counted as a part of Germany (Silesia to be precisely), nowadays it's part of Poland. In his passport it stated that he was "German" so do I put in Germany or Silesia or Poland??

And the 2. question I have: He passed away a couple of years ago, so I just state "deceased" in the "City and country of residence" section?

I know on the form it says "if known" (it does at least at the "City and country of birth" lol) but I don't want to risk any RFE just because of that.

I'm sorry if those were stupid questions, I'm just a bit nervous since I'm only at the beginning of this whole process! I probably could pretend I dont have any information about that but I'm kind of having a bad feeling about that lol

    Thank you so much!
