Do you mean you are wondering if applying for N-400 will slow down processing for your I-751?
If so, I-751 processing will not be affected in any way.
If not, please elaborate on your question. I am afraid I don't understand your concern.
Yes that’s what I meant. I’m sorry I didn’t make myself clear.
I was reading in another post that some people found that their cases were delayed when they applied for N400 with I 751 pending so just wanted to be sure.
When I apply for N400, do I need to mention that I have applied for I 751 as well?
-
Yes I’ll be responding to RFE no matter what. But I was wondering if applying for N400 this late will slow down my case by any chance?
-
Hi, I applied for I 751 in January 2018 and received 18 month extension letter. In April 2019, I received RFE and I have until this Friday (June 28) to send them all the evidence.
My question is, can I still apply for N400 or should I just send them all the required evidence for I751 and wait for them to send me a green card and then apply for N400?
I didn’t apply for N400 before because I was traveling in and out of the country a lot. I have been married for 3 and a half years now.
What’s the correct route in my case? Please help!

if coming to USA, port of entry will be a city in USA not a foreign country or third party country, port of entries are usually where US immigration officer allow you to enter USA officially..
from there you can stay in that city or go further to your destination., if needed.
like mine POE was CHICAGO , o hare airport, from there i came to Houston ,TX.
I stopped over in Dubai, UAE from Emirates Airline ,they cannot do US immigration.
As far as big envolop , keep it handy , for the port of entry ,for immigration officer, donot check it in, it a chest x-ray, to prove you are TB free.cannot enter without that.
No that is not true. I came to USA through Etihad Airline and only the passengers of this airline have the privilege to get done with their immigrations at Abu Dhabi Airport...passengers of all the other airlines have to go through their immigrations in US. When I reached NY, US..all I had to do was pick up my luggage and walk out of the airport

Hi,
So I came to USA on the 9th of this month through Etihad Airline from Karachi, Pakistan so my POE was at Abu Dhabi Airport and the officer at the immigration counter asked just for the sealed envelope I received after my interview and didn't take the sealed x-ray report. I even showed it to him but he said that he didn't need it.
So now I have the X-ray report with me and don't know what to do with it. Does anybody know what I should do now? Don't they need the X-ray report anymore?

Quick question:
Does it really take 6 months for the green card to arrive? I think I read it on their website that they send it in two weeks, no??

Sending up a prayer for all the folks with interviews today such as lbreal

Won't be flying until January 8th unfortunately but still happy that this visa process is over

Congrats
You were quick through NVC
Yes I was very lucky on that part...got done with the whole process in a little over 8 months
-
Fatima, did you received all your notification from the NVC regarding the IV invoice, interview letter (P4) and other things via email? Was there anything you received by mail?
Thanks in advance.
The only thing we received by mail after CC was the interview letter that we had already received through email few days back so it was of no use.

APPROVED!!!!
Just got done with my interview in Islamabad. Everything went well by grace of God Asked very few simple questions:
1. Is it first marriage for both of you? I said yes
2. What does your husband do?
3. Was it arranged or love?
4. When did he visit last time?
Didn't ask for any additional documents whatsoever...very smooth and quick process it was for me and my husband Alhamdulillah

Will be with my hubby on Thanksgiving day. Of course... I will still be on this forum till I leave for the US.
By the way, is there any of February filer with interview date next week?
Yep mine is next week on Nov 5
-
Yes we are here since last Friday, taking it one day at a time. Waiting for the SSN so we can search for job or classes.
What's SSN?
-
Mine is on November 5th!!
-
1, No
2. No
3. That's what the whole interview is about to show evidence you are in a bonafide relationship. That's what we all are doing. Regardless the relation you have.
Cousins marrying in many countries is normal and okay.
You should read your countries interview reviews. I have read many stories of cousins marry some didn't end well some did.
Omg that's scary!! What kinda docs do you think I should take with me to the interview? All I can think of is our wedding pics, call records, chat logs, few of our pics together (I only have 2 or 3 though as he stayed for a week only after our wedding)
What else?
-
So I have few questions regarding my interview in November:
1. Do I need to take documents to the interview that are marked with letter F in the packet 4 interview letter?
2. Is there any fee that needs to be submitted at the embassy before interview for CR1 visa?
3. I'm married to my cousin and although it's legal in the state my husband lives in (NY) but should I still take something to prove that our marriage is not for personal benefits or fraud? How do they deal with cousin marriages at the embassy?
TIA

You are lucky cuz my CC is Sept 25 and still no interview date. According to NVC whoever gets CC first, gets an interview first.
Wish you all the best for your interview.
Just hang in there...you'll receive yours soon Insha Allah
-
Fatima your timeline says that your case was completed on September 29. Is that the day you received the case complete email or did you call NVC and they told you the case complete date?
The reason why I am asking is cuz my CC is September 25 and I received the case complete email on October 02 and i still don't have an interview date.
I called them when I saw the 3rd N/A...it was completed on September 28 and I called them the same day. They haven't sent any case complete mail yet but we did receive interview letter email last night so not sure if we're ever gonna receive a CC mail
-
Got email from NVC last night...interview date is November 5th InshaAllah
-
Got my interview letter via email last night!! :D
NOVEMBER 05 IS THE DAY
-
Received email from NVC last night...interview is on November 5th!!!!
I wasn't expecting it to be this soon but I'm really happy
-
My interview is on November 5th as well!!
-
Pakistan is pretty up to date not much of a wait. You don;t have a interview yet because your CC was too late for October. So lets just see what happens with November scheduling. I don;t know how many out their in the universe are petitioning for Pakistan so no way I can say "Yes you will get a November interview." It's all about where you are in the queue. Just have to wait and hope for the best.
Yes you're right, thanks
