Dutch national mail messed up my zipcode and addressed my package to a wrong zipcode. Lucky no one accepted my package and the mailmen noticed it so its been shipped back to the sorting facility and it will be delivered tomorrow. I dont get it. Is it normal that us consulates ships mail through national mail instead of a private owned courier?.... do i need to complain at us consulate for this?

I know how you feel, I feel the same way. I am never gonna be 100% happy. When I'm here I think of him and my life over there. When I'm there, I think of my family and my life here. So we just have to be strong for our spouse.

After my yesterday approval i am still in happy-mode haha my status chanced directly tom issued and got this morning

At 10 an email with my tracking number of the postalservice so passport is on its way.

So it seems to go super fast! And even im still in happyshock i still feel double by everything i do and seemin my home country thinking what i am all going to mis and roads im not going to drive for a long time i can cry on one side and on the other side im so happy that i had a hard time sleep last night haha. Thanks to everyone for their congrats wishes it even made me smile more

my story,

i arrived at the embassy in the netherlands at 12:30 an hour early.

There where allready people lining up and non of them were let in the building.

At 13:10 hour they let me in in the building and some were refused because of u guessed it CELLPHONES so please leave those things home or come with someone that can hold it. One guy dropped his phone in a nearby cafe.

well once inside i whent true security and showed my inventation letter and they told me to wait at window nr 5

i was the first in out of 5

I hand over birth cert. Marriage cert. And my cert. Of conduct.

The really nice lady took fingerprints and told me to wait.

i been called back about 25 minutes later and the consul also a really friendly girl guess 26-28 years of age.

asked me,

where did u meet?

how does his perents like yours? And how does your parents like them?

what kind of work does your husband?

is he here or in the usa?

where did u merried?

why twice? Had registrated partnership in the netherlands so i told her its because reg. Partnership is not a legal thing in the usa.

what would u like to do when u are in the usa?

after all these questions she sayed oke i will approve you a visum and u can expect it in 3 to 4 workdays by mail.

did not had to show her anything no photo's, no 2015 financials nothing.

after i when't in to the city with my mum and celebrated it at the mac donalds with a nice warm cappucino we walked over the market and went back home. I am over the top happy and releaved that it went smooth.

for those relax it is all really formal and bussness as usual.

It went better then i thought.

i was super well prepared because of vj so no need to stress out everything nice sorted in a map

Well i had my phone on silence and i just pulled it out of my pocket and i saw a incoming call so i picked it up right away and now im over happy

I just got a call from the us consulate in amsterdam that they rescheduled my appointment wereup i say'd i hope its early'r and she say'd yes thursday 17 instead of tuesday 22 of march so allmost a week earlier yeayhhhh

Yeahh medical is done. Now waiting for the next 11 days till my interview cant wait haha!

I would do the medical as late as possible, because its only valid for 6 months so if your consulate has not open spot for interview yet then itcould expire so...

Can you schedule medical exam before the interview date being assigned??

Do you suggest me to call NVC on monday to check if it's assigned??

Do I receive any packages in my country after cc or just email??

Jenvds and i had close contact last night her husband made it save in the usa his poe was Newark, as from what i heared it when't all smooth and he is now finally together with his beloved wife! At dweels i know i made a copy of it so that should not be the problem its more of do i need an appostille because it is at an embassy overseas i sended this one to uscis and to the nvc so that should be fine

What I can tell you about our experience is this:

When we submitted our documents to both USCIS and the embassy we submitted a non apostille document. When Klaas took our original documents in to the interview he had an apostille certified original with him. (we ordered it both ways since it was in Barbados). The CO didn't even look at the back of the certificate where the apostille certification was and approved him.

Your wedding certificate is US. You are going to an interview in the US consulate. Bring the original certificate. But it doesn't need to be apostille.

I would bring it if you have it. I believe most people interviewing need to bring their originals with them. In my case, they want originals and a copy even though they have them on file already.

Well i have the original with stamp and signature of the panama city beach county clerk let see if i can post a pic of it

I am married in florida last year i sended in the certificate of our marriage from the county clerk

On my p4 letter stands that this will be send from nvc to the consulate but do i need to bring the origial with an appostille from the state of florida or is that not nessesary? And is the certificate just fine and enough?...

I merried in florida and i have an extraction of our registration do i need an appostille for my interview in the netherlands?
