  1. Ebunulowa I did put the NOA given to me in the USCIS case tracker but it just says my application had been pushed for visa processing. That was in March when my application was sent to the NVC. How long does it take for the U.S. to return an application back to the states? I checked the CEAC website and it still says AP. My fiancée went for the interview on the 8th of June and it does says last day updated was the 8th of June . Do u think it should ve shown refuse or something else? It still says AP. Pls kindly let me know what u think. And this is to all VJ family who can throw more light on it

  2. Ok, I had check an hr ago and it says wrong I'd case number. But I'm gonna exactly what u asked me to do. The lawyer actually sent me an email that in his experience as a lawyer a lot of mistake people do is take advise from individuals who are not lawyers because everybody's case is different. But he doesn't mind helping me with filigree another application for me. I guess he made emphasis on the letter given to my fiancée. It just stated a visa couldn't be given to him at this time because no decision could be made. But I'm tryna make plans to go to Gh and marry my fiancée by August.Another thing is I have been accepted into a nursing program and I start in August , do you think it's gonna affect my application as I have heard in the past that some student can't file for husbands when you receiving loans from the state

  3. So Ebunulowa I see that in another post u stated that sometimes CO tell applicants their application would be returned to USCIS for review but then again they change their mind and keep the application at the embassy for review. Ok so the question again is how do you find out your apication had been retain at the embassy for internal scrutiny. I checked mine at the CEAC tracker and it says AP. What does it mean?

  4. Alright thx guys, I appreciate you all for reaching out to help me. Another thing is, how do you track your application to find out if it's actually been returned? Do I call the Dept of state, or just the dept of state tracker. I wanna keep up with tracking my application.I did call the lawyer right now and he told me whatever decision u take they are there to help but he insisted that if I file another application then I won't know the reason for the refusal

  5. Thx Ebunulowa, I have been to Ghana for two times after we were engaged. I had tons of evidence. But I guess the only question I think he did not answer right was how I came to yhe US. I came here through the DV lottery but my fiancée for some funny reasons we had never talked abt that assumed my older sister gave me an invitation , so he told the consular my older sister invited me. You think that was the problem?

  6. Thx guys, my worry was that when will the USCIS ever contact me for additional document u know. This is actually my worry. I hear a lot of people say it sit in their office and expire is it always the case? So no one have had the USCIS contact them after their K1 application was returned for review. I'm heartbroken, but my lawyer insist we wait for the reason he was refused so then , doesn't he know this thing always expire? He sounded like I was gonna here from the USCIS in a duration of six months, I'm just confused since he think marrying him now is not the best option. Plus when I checked status it says it's in AP

  7. Thanks Ebunulowa you are a blessing. I did exactly what you said and I have submitted the online request. I don't know if I need to print and mail or its gonna go to them directly after I hit on the submit button. Another thing is I hired a lawyer in helping me file application. I did explain to him I would like to marry with my fiancée but he insisted we wait for the reason of refusal since it's still gonna be on my file. Worse case senario I hear it takes 6 months to process, has anyone on this forum gone thru same thing as I'm mine? I'm hoping I get response before the 6 months I don't know . Thx for the information Ebunoluwa

  8. In the letter it's states do not contact the embassy or USCIS until a response have been sent to you. They did state they were gonna send it back to the USCIS . So if I find out it's still at the embassy then what next? Is the way I can avoid them sending application back to USCIS since it's already been stated in the letter that they are gonna send it back to uscis

  9. Thank you so much Ebunoluwa, his interview was on the 8th of June this month Pls I am so confused and depressed as it stands. You mean I need to contact my congressman to find out if the application have been returned? How do I go about contacting him, Pls can you show me the steps? This was on Monday you think they havn't returned it already? Pls help me my dear. Thx very much

  10. Hey Boiler, you say that I move or marry? I suggested that to my lawyer but he said I need to wait to see the reason for refusal because then again if I hurriedly rush to marry its gonna raise suspicions. I mean my question is how long do you think they gonna respond to me with my status being in the AP?

Plus you did mention move, what do you mean by move? Thx a bunch for ur replies.

  11. Hi guys I'm new here. I need help guys Pls help me find some answers to my questions. My fiancée went for the interview in home country and he was told by the consular that he sees our relationship as a mere one. He had provided tons of evidence you can't even imagine. So she told him his application was gonna be send back to the USCIS for review. So I checked his case today and it say AP. What is going on as AP here means good news to a lot of people on this forum. Please I need your help. You guys are awesome.by the way his also in the 221(g) thing
