It seems to me that,
Either NVC got screwed
OR
Intententionally NVC is delaying our cases to minimize the rush of approved files they got from USCIS.
They are using their system failure excuses to cover this up.
Yeah, my husband basically said something similar. Since the DS-260 randomly works for people one day, it seems like a delay for them to buy some time. Frustrating to say the least!

The expedite has been granted through NVC. All of our financial documents, etc have already been sent off. Only thing lacking is the DS-260. It is like all the "steps" we must do are backwards. I did talk to someone at NVC yesterday & was told they should be sending the expedite within 48 hours to the embassy, but I know not having the DS-260 will be an issue. So you say I also need to request an expedite from the embassy? We need to be in the states before August 24 and I am getting nervous. Thanks for replying!

Did you pick the date or they sent you that date?

Our case has been expedited and everything has been completed up until the part for the interview (medical & interview), except DS-260 (along with the masses, right?). Do we schedule our interview or they send us an email with a date? Someone else on here (sorry I forget the name), that they scheduled through a specific website but it was not an official government site & it did not seem to list our specific embassy as an option. Please let me know. Thanks!

It took them days actually before they transferred the case to USEM Manila (approved June 4 and sent out June 10). I think they reviewed the documents during those days to complete the process at NVC before shipping it out. With regards to the interview appointment, I registered at UStraveldocs, filled up the informations and chose the date. Make sure though that its in the US Embassy before you do this.
Thank you for the information!! So I am assuming that website is somehow connected with the embassies (to allow appointments to be scheduled)? I am still trying to find out if they allow appointments for Argentina.

Try calling NVC and ask about the DS-260. I don't think you will be interviewed without this or try calling US embassy about this. My son's case also has an approved request to expedite, but I was able to finish everything before they transferred it to US Embassy in Manila. Once transferred (confirmed), you can schedule for your interview appointment. I did not wait for the letter from the USem and I just screen-printed the NVC status which says Ready (for interview). They usually sent it very late jus like what happened to my first son's case. Goodluck.
I called the NVC this morning & the guy told me to wait a couple of days for them to send it off, but that I should hear something this week. I told him we had sent off everything needed for the NVC stage besides the DS-260 & he could tell all of that. So you schedule the appointment or they give you a date? That is what I am not clear on & want to know. Please let me know, if you can. Thanks!

Sounds good to me! You gave them the information they were asking for. If they want any more information, they will ask for it.

Hi! I requested our case be expedited on June 11. I got an email today stating it was approved. What happens next? We have everything turned in and have paid the IV, but not able to do the DS-260 due to the technical errors that we all seem to be having. The letter makes it sound like everything is in the embassies hands now. Has anyone gone through this, that can give us some insight? Thank you!

I got my answer today & was approved for expedite!! Now what?
In case anyone wants to know the dates: June 11 sent of email requesting for expedite and today, June 23, received response saying it was approved!!
-
It also took me several emails to send everything, but I am sure that is standard, because of the file sizes.
-
I would like to know the answer as well.

There should be a sample form for you, beside where you would access it (on the website). Hope this helps!
-
Make sure you put your case number at the top!!

Tnx
I emailed a copy of a handwritten letter that stated, as requested, I did not file any taxes for 2014 because I was not working and therefore did not need to file taxes. It was a very short note, but all the information was stated (I did not work & no need to file taxes). Be sure and put your case number at the top. I signed the letter at the bottom. Hope this helps!

I am a petitioner for my spouse and do not live in the United States. We also have a joint sponsor. I am a stay at home mom, so I had to write a letter stating why I did not file taxes for 2014 and I wrote because I did not work.

For those of you who waited to pay online, how long was it before it allowed you to pay (without saying $0.00)? We got an email on Sunday, June 14, to pay the IV fee, paid via money order on Monday, June 15, & got an email yesterday June 21 with the receipt, but still not able to do the DS-260.
So if I pay online, the DS-260 should appear? How long was it before it allowed you to pay the IV fee online after the email? Our oldest child starts school late August in the US & since we have missed our first two "hopeful" dates to be in the US, this is the goal. The kids & I are all US citizens, but it would be easier if we traveled together. Such an annoyance of how long this all is taking.

Have you been able to get a refund since you paid twice? That is my other option, but I'd rather not pay another $325 to not be reimbursed.
-
We paid by mail last Monday, got a receipt yesterday, but still not able to access form DS-260. For the one who paid by mail & online, have you gotten a receipt?
Oops....I meant to ask, have you been able to get a refund since you paid twice?

My husband has a tourist visa and we are currently in the process for him for a spousal visa. We are only lacking one more form (unable to get because of the technical issues) and then we should be ready for the medical/interview. Can he travel to the US right now without an issue or would they stop us because we are in the process of changing to a different form of visa? Just curious. Please inform me if you know. Thanks!

We got the IV invoice on Sunday, still not able too pay online. Money order was sent off on Monday morning. Yesterday, we could tell it had been delivered. Still no official receipt, but not able to access form we need.
-
This may have been posted earlier, but if not, this article looks like all us will be waiting a little longer for the visas for ourselves or in my situation a visa for my spouse.
-
Ours was just paid on Monday & arrived today (we had delivery confirmation). I am hoping we get our receipt soon. Have you been able to fill out the form, yet?

For those who have requested their case be expedited, what was the length of time for it to be reviewed? I am sure it could go either way with my request, but I received an email a couple of days ago stating it was being reviewed. I know I was told on the phone by NVC it could be up to two months & we are hoping to be out of here by then.
How short of notice for interview?
in Mexico, Latin & South America

I know I have asked some other questions about the interview, but how short of a notice was it until you were notified for your interview? My family is thinking of taking a family vacation during the 2 week winter break here in July, but I am worried to book any hotels/other arrangements in case we get something about an interview at the embassy. How long of a notice were you given?
