  1. EAD in the mail...YAY!

Time for start looking for some jobs and to get driving license!! (btw it's ridiculous that I have to it all over again and cannot transfer it coz they only one "transferable" are French, German or South Korean ones....but oh well...)

anyways...any idea on where they are on GC processing?

We had to resend the taxes and the last update for us was DEC 14. We did an expedite for this as well but no movement...

Plus I don't see the I-485 timeline on VJ

    thanks :)

  2. Thanks!!

We got today something in the mail that says that the are reviewing the expedite requests...fingers crossed!!

Hey! I have the exact same timeline as you. We filed October 28th, responded to an RFE in late November, and changed our address two weeks ago. We ALSO submitted a service request to expedite the EAD card, and received notice today (Jan 14) that the card was approved and on the way to our new address. It took about two weeks after we submitted a service request to get the EAD approved. I hope that helps....

  3. Hello everyone...

I haven't checked the forum in a while.. We moved to a new house and a new city !

We changed successfully our address (USCIS sent us a letter) and called USCIS last THURSDAY to expedite our case due to soon military deployment... :cry2:

    But still nothing from them...

According to the timelines I should have at least heard for my EAD at the beginning of January but nothing yet..

We filed on Oct 27...is anyone still waiting like us?

We received a request for another version of our taxes but no other evidence requested...(this was Dec 1)

  4. We got married a week after I arrived in the USA in Las Vegas (On 5th Oct 2015 - 05/10/15 :joy: ) .

When I was 17 I did an exchange program there.

My "host mom" celebrated it and there was just us, her and few members of her family since we did it in her wonderful garden.

    None of our families came.

Was there drama? OF COURSE ....and from both sides.

But that was what we wanted! :goofy:

And we wanted to start the AOS ASAP!! B-)

Plus we didn't want to/have the money to make everyone come and pay for a fancy wedding.

In a couple of years, once all AOS-GC-Immigration process-ecc.. is over we are gonna...might.... do a traditional wedding in Italy (L)

    Congratulation BTW!!!! :luv:

  5. We had sent with AOS package 3 years of taxes and up-to-date paychecks.

The only thing they required for us was a copy of the FULL VERSION of 2014 TAXES. :dead:

Hope they get it fast and they don't slow our application down.

I don't want to find myself here dealing with all this and him on deployment.

:ot:wish the entire thing could have been done through a portal online.

yeah i got a request for supporting evidence too last month. I sent in the W2, 2014 return (state and fed), schedule A forms as requested. I guess they really want to confirm our financial info.

At least it looks like they have gotten to Oct apps now. EAD is now on Oct 1, AP on Oct 2. Hopefully we hear some approvals soon! :)

  6. I had my A number on the NOA2 of my K-1 visa .... like over my name ...

We seem to share a similar case. Did not know you are given an A number on the receipt. I am awaiting the hard copies in the mail. My case was accepted around the same time as yours. Good luck!

I am late OCT filer with case accepted in NOV. Just received my notice i-797 in mail.

    10/24/2015 - Documents Sent

10/26/2015 - Documents Received as per USPS

    11/03/2015 - Case Accepted - Receipt # received in eMail - SMS

    11/04/2015 - Check Cashed

11/07/2015 - Notice i-797 received in mail with A - number (All Forms). TODAY

I never had "A number" before.

Do we get "A number" first time in the receipt of i485, i131, i765 ???? who never had it before.

    Any thought or same experience?

  7. I read that on the guide too about the I-693.

But I told my husband to include anyways a copy of the medical report that they gave me at the embassy for my K-1 and a list of ALL my vaccinations, since they only wrote down what they needed.

At the POE they just took my sealed envelope and just had a look inside the medical envelope I had with me.

(I assume there was a copy too in the envelope).

The I-693 is not required in your packet since the one done during your K-1 is still valid based on your timeline. You did need to include a copy of the DS-3025 vaccination form. Tim received a copy at the medical with a cover letter that stated save this form it will be needed for later immigration processes.

I don't know. I have read that the medical exam documents are available to USCIS during the AOS. If I'm not mistaken it's by the border security? Oy, I really don't know.

"Even if a new medical examination is not required, you still must show proof that you have complied with the vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original, overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the vaccination report completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you are required to submit Part 1, Information About You, Part 2, the vaccination chart, and Part 5, the Civil Surgeon's Certification, of Form I-693 (in an envelop sealed by the civil surgeon). "

So if your vaccination record was complete overseas, you should be good, no?

  8. Oh geez ... I didn't file the I-693 because I had medical a month ago.

The consulate wrote on a form all the ones I had and that the US requires for the immigration process..

I went to one of our medical offices in Italy and asked for a copy of all my vaccination history and they printed that for me.

And this is what I brought to the embassy.

Maybe he can ask someone to call the doctor in his home Country and see if he can get a transcript too..

Did your panel physician fill out the medical saying that you've already had all required vaccinations?

I'm trying to make sure I understand this part well as my goal is to AOS in December (we'll see...). We won't need another medical since ours was completed within a year. However, I think we need his vaccinations to be transcribed on the I-693 since we weren't given them all overseas. I think anyone that had all vaccinations only needs to provide copies they met this requirement as the overseas panel physician's report is supposed to be available to the USCIS worker who handles the AOS here. From what I have read so far.

If I'm misguided, please correct me.

  9. :ranting:

I had kinda the same problem but luckily my now husband went to the manager of the complex where we live and told him that he was going to receive packages and mail with my name on it.

They put it with the mail to "sort/send back to sender",I luckily received an email saying that they delivered something for me but there was no sign in the mail.

Hopefully it'll take less than a month to have that letter!!!!!!!

Can't they email you a copy in the meantime??

I found out yesterday the postal worker at my apartment building has been returning all of my mail without notifying me because my name was not included on the mailbox label in the sorting room. No one thought it was important to mention that there was a label on the mailbox that I needed to write my name on. :ranting:

So, my biometrics appointment letter likely got rejected, and I had to phone USCIS to get another one sent, which should arrive in 16-30 days. I'm really frustrated right now because I basically have a guaranteed job when I get my EAD, and now it's being delayed again because someone couldn't be bothered to deliver my mail.

Sorry for my first post being a rant. It's just been one of those weeks...

  10. I sent a copy of the medical I had for the k-1 in September and a copy of the list of vaccinations I had (the same I gave at the consulate).

You need to send a copy of your vaccination record. If you received all your vaccinations from the panel physician in your home country, send a copy of that worksheet. If you need vaccinations here, then you need to either get them from a civil surgeon, or have them done and then pay a civil surgeon to complete the I-693 for you.

We're going to have an issue. We wanted him to get all his vaccinations overseas, but they only gave one vaccine. Oy vey!

hey guys, I'm a little confused and I'm nearly ready to file my AOS package but not sure where to ask this but

did you all do a I-693 when you submitted your package?

I can't find a direct yes or no answer, my medical was only done in may so its within six months

don't want to send it off and then find out i do!

Thank you for any help! :)
