My husband is green card holder. I am under F2A.

My case has completed fast as we are preparing our case by ourselves and thanks for this forum. We can proactively rather than waiting for agents. This forum has helped me a lot. I am learning info from other cases by reading other threads here. In addition, when i had any questions, i post here, everybody help me out.

This is to updated, i just got cc letter via email today. Now, waiting for the visa to be current.....

Do you know your invoice number? If not, call nvc to check it out. Then, everyday u should go to http://ceac.state.gov/ to check if your case open or not. The signal is that you can fill DS261, then a few days later, the invoice will be issued for your payment.

Not yet, my case is completed today. I have called them two times to re-confirm that this is the true. I think that they will updated in a week. Let's stay updated. How about you ?

I called nvc on 20th March, they have advised me to wait until 7th April if i haven't heard anything from their side which means after 45 days from my scan date on 22nd Feb. Do you think that i should wait... Or call them again after 30 days instead of 45 days?

This is the date that NVC received your case. There are two ways to get it.

1. Called NVC to check if NVC they have received your case or not.

2. Wait until you receive the welcome letter from NVC.

I have chose the first way. It's faster.

Indeed a pleasant surprise. Just got off the phone and we are case complete just yesterday, and we are just waiting for PD to be current. No Checklist!

Sorry, aos form has been done by my hubby. I have no idea as well. If you have any question, you should post here, i believe that there are many experts around our forum can assist you. Kindly note that this form is one of the tricky docs which maybe delayed your completion as ... If there is a check list which will take you 30 days to review....

Hi sony,

When its status changed to paid, you can fill DS260. In the mean while, you should prepare affidavit support and collect civil docs. Once you completed ds 260, you have everything be ready to send NVC.

Good to hear that your case opens.

After my hubby had filled ds 261, he called to nvc, they will validate it over the phone, then the aos fee will be invoiced. Then,after 2-3 business days, the status will be changed from "in process" to "paid". After that, you should log in every day to see the iv fee is invoiced or not? If invoiced, you can pay. In the mean while, you should collect your docs and do affividavit support form. Good luck.

Updated from my end, i have completed all process, waiting for scan day and completion. Hope no check list.

@carot12 - scan date is when NVC acknowledges your AOS and IV package. They send an email saying they receive the documents and will require them so much days to review.

Nvc soon. How could you know your scan date before receiving email from nvc? Did you call nvc ? Pls advise how long nvc will notify us after our postal delivery to them.
