    Please HELP thanx...

    Hi SAVMA:
I'm so sorry you've been waiting this long!! I don't have the answer to your question, I think you should register on line. but if you are close to a loomis location, may be passing by to find out it might help. or maybe calling them.
My husband has been under AP in Montreal for 102 days already, I'm very sad right now imagining that this could take more time. Do you mind sharing a little bit about your case, any idea why they put you on AP? were you born in a different country??
hope you'll finish all this stressful waiting really soon!
  2. Nope nothing at all, you? We seem to be stuck in a stupid system.

I sent them another email on thursday ( at least to see an update in the system) got same automatic response on Friday. exactly the same, word by word. Next week I will send another email because my second wedding anniversary is October 11. The case won't be CR1 anymore, they should change it to IR1. so I will send a notification 30 days before the aniversary, let's see what's the answer. I'm also hoping they answer to the congressman.

please keep me posted if something happens. Have a good week!!

  3. what, WOW!!! Did they ask why? thatss another 1-2 just to receive an answer to the inquiry and it's been 3 months we are both waiting. This is madness :(. I am thinking of asking for my passport back so I can travel at least.

    Hi!!!...

    Anything new?.....

  4. Hello!! I am so tired and anxious! My husband has been on AP since his interview on July 17, at the Kingston Embassy. Consular told him one to three months before a decision can be made. They have been updated his case consistently for the pass two weeks. The past three days they have made a status update every day. Any one in the same situation? I am praying that this will be over soon!!

    Hi blenny706:
I know exactly how are you feeling. My husband's interview was May 21 in Montreal, the case has been under AP for 99 days and we don't know the reason, in fact the consular officer said "Everything looks fine, just wait two to three weeks". but gave him a 221g. I have emailed the consulate a couple of time and the response is always the same automatic message. I even tried contacting my congressman 3 weeks ago the consulate has not given any answer to them either.
It's a good thing they are doing updates. I pray you finish this process really soon.
Unfortunately there's nothing we can do.
  5. Hi!

All pictures should be from you of course, (You are the one with a pending visa) identicals, passport style. go to a place and and do it. Why take the risk of having to resend them. Go very well prepared to your interview is better than being in black hole of waiting for them to look at your documents again.

  6. Hi there!

Every time I email them it's always an automated answer i receive. It starts getting very frustrating i have been waiting since febuary now we are on August.

    Hi joseph2015!

Same thing for me. I sent them 3 emails, on all of them got same response, (was like copy and paste). I also contacted my congressman And this was the answer from the Consulate: (by the way, this was Aug 10, Still No answer) It's Very frustrating!! :(

  7. Sorry to hear that the whole processes is just rough they don't care about how this distance is affecting all of us. I don't get how this people could sleep good at night knowing family are scattered apart and it's in their hand to just fix it in reasonable time. I hope all of us get the answer soon no one deserves this agony.

    Hi there:

Congratulation on your approval, I think in your case you should receive notice anytime soon. Unfortunately for all of us MTL is the slowest processing center and sometimes I wonder the same thing about if there's a human being behind this cases waiting.
all the best to you and hoping you'll see that "Issued" soon. :-)
  8. Oh wow!! I have to say I have never seen a response like that to a Congressman... So sorry Idy and New User 1000 that you are still in limbo. It has been hectic here but I keep checking to see if I'll see the GREAT NEWS!!! I am praying that August will not end before you get some positive news.MTL is really on a different planet!!!

This is very sad my dear friend!!... thank you for staying in touch. (F)

  9. Idy, any news? Nothing for me :(

    Hi!!

Nothing new! not even with the congressman they sent an email to MTL on Aug/10 and this was the answer and still waiting...

  10. Hi Idy,

We had the congresswoman contact them back at Montreal for sending emails like above below without any information, false information from the consular officer at the time of the interview and false information by NVC on July 7 regarding the CBP flag. This is what they said to the congresswoman on Monday. Since then our status update has changed everyday even today but status is still ready. "PATIENCE" - I wonder what this word means to them if it was them in our shoes waiting, anticipating and being treated the way they are treating us. I know they are busy but their treatment is so inhumane, it's unbelievable.

"Múltiple emails"... If they were doing the right things and giving straight answers, We wouldn't need multiple inquiries. My god!!! What a frustrating situation!!!!
Please keep me posted my friend.
    Have a good night
  11. OMG I can't believe you are both still having issues. I'm speechless as well. If you are in Miami then I'm guessing you don't have Lois Frankel as congresswoman.

Mark Rubio's office was also helpful in opening an investigation.

My heart goes out to you. I can only imagine what you've endured. We had the full 8 weeks wait forcing us into hotels for 2 weeks, but really had to push to get them to act.

I'm convinced that contacting congressmen and senators does make a difference.

I'm praying you'll hear good news soon. Keep me posted!

    Hi Andy & Vanda!

My congressman is Carlos Curbelo, his office sent an email to MTL last monday, still no answer but they updated the case on Tuesday. I'm also in contact with Marco Rubio's office but need to send them some documents, I wanted to wait for the consulate's response to the congressman.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers!!

  12. Hi Idy,

The congresswoman for us contacted the consulate and Montreal contacted me after that. Basically there is a flag in the CBP system under my name that makes me go through secondary screening. At the time of the interview, the consular officer told me that he is putting a request in the system for me to remove the flag but it shouldn't hold up the visa. After congresswoman contact with Montreal last week, we got a one liner email from Montreal saying "contact CBP regarding your overstay flag and contact us back" without any information. The weirdest thing is that I called NVC on July 7 and they said the flag was cleared. There are general numbers as any gov't agency and we were basically getting the run around. We talked to someone at CBP as well as Peace Bridge supervisor and they are extremely confused into exactly what the consulate is talking about. They said that it shouldn't hold up the visa and you have travelled to US many times after the issue was resolved. We went back and forth about 10 emails with the consulate asking for information we got from the phone, specific CBP contact number and the request number from the consular officer. We kept getting one liner from Montreal "contact CBP". On the other side, the officer that is in contact with the Congresswoman said no such thing. He said everything is great and we will issue the visa. So we started talking to the Consulate via email on Friday afternoon until Monday late evening then we stopped since two officers with different information was being communicated to us. We are letting congresswoman handle it. She emailed them Monday but we haven't heard anything back, our date though did get updated yesterday.

This is truly frustrating cause in the 2.5 months waiting, I would have put in the request if it was necessary but I was told by the officer that he did it. Now the consulate is completely ignoring that which makes me think that he didn't! I did put a request in myself on Monday but it says that it takes 30 business days for them to process which is another 1.5 month. So we did few things. We advice the congresswoman of everything and I put in a formal complaint against the NVC and Consulate in the OIG system (oig.state.gov).

I know your pain and frustration. I wanted to say soooo much in the email but they really don't care. They will keep throwing standard one liner response from their automated selected messages. this is truly sad and I didn't expect officers to lie......

Wow!!... I'm speechless... it's unthinkable the bad work, irresponsibility and the game with other's lifes.... Thank you for sharing all that info. Hope you finish with this nightmare soon my friend. Please keep me posted on the progress

  13. So my husband did an inquiry and we got a standard response that it was in consular review (after 8 weeks). He responded back to them saying that they have passed the standard processing time and demands what is going on. This is what they wrong back. How can they still blame the backlog while everyone else is getting their visa.........this just seems soooo ridiculous. I am sorry. I am really happy for those that are getting their visa but this is just unfair.

    Good afternoon,

    Thank you for your email!

Please note that due to worldwide system issues with our visa issuance in the past couple of weeks we are expiring a high backlog. Consular officers are working vigorously to reduce wait times for applicants. Please note that we will gladly contact you should further information be required on your behalf.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we review your case.

    Hi!!

Have you heard anything else from MTL? today is my 90 day on AP. my congressman sent an email last monday, they haven't answered yet. I'm so desperate and furious at them!!! :protest:

  14. hey guy my status change to ready yesterday....an the message read that i should do a interview but we already did that an they has our passport is this a good sign r not? plz help..

Hi!! are you a K-1 Visa?? how long was the AP?? I've seen that others VJ members getting the same msge. If they need somthing they will contact you. otherwise you should see "Issued" in a couple of days!! :-)

  15. my wait was 18.5 months

Oh! wow!! I'm so sorry you had to wait that long. I guess the consulate should send you an email requesting your passport however they are so slow that I will go to Loomis location and will send it. I've been searching for an answer to your question thru other post but still don't know.
Do you mind sharing about your case, what type of Visa and if you were born in a different country. My husband was born in Cuba but is canadian citizen, (we think that's the reason for the AP)
  16. Hi Idy!

Thanks for responding. well, I never hear from them and they never request anything from me. I'm from Haiti. what's frustrating is I already forward 2 police reports and two medical reports because it took 8 months to get my waiver application approved and i had to forward new PR and new MR.I will keep you posted.I'M JUST WONDERING, WILL THEY ASK ME THESE THINGS AGAIN IF THIS IS NOT RESOLVED IN SIX MONTHS.

The medical and police cert. it has to be valid at the time of your entry. Hope you get it soon. Why don't you send another email? you've been waiting for 6 months already. they probably will answer with automatic email. but at least they have to post an update to your file.

it's ridiculous!!! I will love to know what are they doing in there!!! :ranting::ranting::ranting:

  18. this is an update, i was able to travel to the usa, but i,m still on AP. I have been waiting since febuary.

    Hi Joseph:

I'm really happy you were able to travel, that makes this waiting time a lot easier!! We are still on AP 77 days today and waiting.... The file has been updated only once but nothing was requested from the consulate. Have you heard anything from them? if you don't mind saying, what is your country of origin? I know another VJ member waiting in MTL in AP since Feb as well, original from the Philippines and Got the Visa last week.

Please keep me posted, if they request anything from you.

    thank you!!
