Thanks for the review about the consulate! I'm worried because I don't know if I booked the interview as a non-immigrant or immigrant visa. How do you know? I don't see anything about it on my appointment confirmation.

That's the site I was sent to, so when they told me it was wrong, I was confused.
Did you book on the blue site or the green site? When I booked on the green site, I wasn't asked to pay. And more than Wednesdays were available, so I think you're ok. The Montreal consulate is pretty good as responding to any emails, so if you want peace of mind, maybe send them an email? But based on all the info you gave (paying 265$, and only Wednesday dates) I think you're on the right track.
