@Shomefune96 she can even use the Visa in the passport to apply for the social security card, without waiting for the green card, that's what I did with my husband, and his card arrived before his green card, because now everything is electronic,

1. You don't pay visa fee again but once you get visa you can choose to pay the fee of i think 200 something in Ghana or once he gets to USA it is recommended that that fee is paid before he comes this helps process his green card but don't worry about that fee until you get the visa the embassy will tell you the steps to paying that.
2. you do have to pay for another medical and police clearance so that is something you can prepare for.
It's the green card fee we paid my husband's a day after he arrived, u pay it at uscis website. The fee is $220

My case has been at the Embassy since July and I did not receive any email to schedule an appointment but I kept on checking the website for available dates and I found one and scheduled it in October 9. So I decided to call the Embassy to see whether they approve of it because I didn't receive any email before scheduling. The man I talked was very friendly. He asked my passport and name and said okay so ur case is reaffirmed and I said yes and he confirmed I had an appointment with them so I should report on the date I had scheduled.😊
Great God has already approved it Visa.

It is a special 8 digit number NVC assigns to every applicant. It is complimented by the beneficiary ID which is also a 8 digit number. But for the sign in, u will need the case number and the invoice ID. U can find the invoice ID on the NVC appointment docs u received prior to ur first interview. I dont really know the specific document but I remember I found mine on one of those papers.
Or call them and they will give it to you on the phone

My case was sent to embassy ill email them and see if they recieved it yet I called NVC and they said that it is not at their office anymore they received it on August 30th and forwarded it to the Embassy
@Joetan nvc should be able to tell u if the embassy has received ur case. Because when we were in the reaffirm process anytime I call they'll give me the date they sent to the embassy and the date the embassy receive it, that's when I emailed the embassy and they reply me that they had our case and they are waiting for a date.

Pls how did you know that the embassy had received your case from the NVC on the date you are referring ?
You can call nvc and they'll tell you if the embassy has received ur case

The embassy doesn't answer calls email them or call nvc they'll be able to tell u

Ok you're not going to believe this but I cannot seem to get back to that site when I type it in it's not going through to update the DS 260 can you give me the website it's only giving me the national visa center site that says my case is expiring but I know it's another site I go on to access the DS 260
Don't get panic we all get that on our case status, once the embassy receive ur case and has a date available for u ,they'll open it for you to update it. Lol I know that feeling. By God's grace you will get through it. Keep checking or call to see if the embassy receive ur case or file.
-
Yes and print a copy for your record
-
So u are new in that page so u need to create an account then wait for the embassy to send u email that u can schedule your interview or check the interview dates to see if there's any available and see if u can schedule it. Also check the nvc status to see if it case has been received by the embassy.
-
Yes if u are a new applicant then that's the right link and u can create account to be able to track your case

God willing if possible get a lawyer involved, I did everything on my own from beginning, but with the noir I hired a lawyer who assist me with the affidavit we wrote to explain what was in the noir.
