  1. Sorry, no, I and others don't know your history or story. Fill us in. The instructions are pretty clear really. A job that continues when relocating/re-domiciling to the US from overseas is actual current earned income. There is little confusion about that.

I ditto what another person said, read the instructions. What advice is there? The question on the form is asking current earned income. NO confusion. The other issue is, why was this not an issue for you before the other person pulled out? You still needed to file as a sponsor, right, or were you denied due to domicile and didn't need to file? Did you file taxes the past 3 years?

You're trying to make an issue out of nothing.

  2. No im not suggesting lying, Im trying to figure out what we should state as her adress? since she's not technically a resident here but she is here right now if you understand

"not technically" ... a fancy way to say an illegal alien. Why can't she go to her own country? She lost or gave up citizenship in Sweden?

You answer truthfully and suffer the consequences. That is the only answer there is. "America is advanced citizenship" which really means you follow the laws and processes. She is illegal, are you saying she is still illegal and in the US illegally? I understand, I think. But, you're trying to find a way to make it all okay, and it's not. This is exactly why the laws exist.

  3. A week .. 7 days? You can wait a year for the process but when something doesn't get updated in just one week you go nuts about it? You clearly state in your original post that is says READY - not denied, not anything else to even hint at a negative issue.

You can't wait without ... oh wait. You were also issue an inadmissibility letter.

Why don't you actually ask USCIS your status? It says ready not updated, and you were issued an inadmissibility form. Basically you were rejected, but it isn't updated online.

You have no validity to a waiver. Just 'cuz you want something very, very badly means nothing.

  4. So, I'm confused. Are you suggesting that FRAUD and LYING is acceptable and an actual choice? You intend to lie and not tell the truth about address and everything in the hope that nobody will notice. You don't really believe they know she overstayed her visa?

You're not going to be successful in manipulating the system by lying - be it today or at the interview.

  5. Sorry, but this makes no sense. Why would you submit some change of status form just to find out of you got an interview. Don't you realize that changing your status is a big deal? No sense at all. You really think this is better than making a telephone call or getting an e-mail? Hmmmmm  What is the real issue and what is you want to do or not do?

  6. Hey,

Michael and I (same sex couple) have been living in Shanghai for about a year (give or take).

Michael the US citizen is currently back in America working. I was due to be visiting him next week for a month, before returning home to the UK and wait patiently for the interivew as we sent off our documents over a month ago!

However, last night I lost my passport and have managed to get an emergency passport from the UK consulate in Shanghai. My old one will be canceled and is nowhere to be found (it's in a skip).

What do I need to do? Do I phone USCIS and inform them that I will be getting a new passport with a new passport number?

Also, the hard part now ...... I've heard online that people are sometimes required to give a police check. That's not a problem as I am a lawabiding citizen, however I have been told by some people that I need one from China as well?

This process is so much more confusing and almost near impossible in a developing country. I went to the notary office today and they pretty much said they can't give me any police check certificate as they dont have my original passport because it was lost last night. I asked them to write this down and stamp it and I can show this in my interview to show that I tried, but they refused.

This is SO much and this is all so new to me. I am so worried that this is going to cause a huge problem! Can someone please help me sleep better tonight and give me some comforting words???

    Thanks!

Seems to me that providing the government with your actual, current passport number would only make sense. I'm curious why you think being a homosexual couple is relevant to having lost your passport.
