After biometrics is done, should the online case status change?
I had my biometrics on 23rd February...my online status changed for my Form I-485,saying as of the 3rd March your application is ready for interview, my employment and travel status have stayed the same since 26th January,im expecting to hear something this week for my temporary card

Hi Everyone
We attended the interview on Tuesday 29th Sept in Sydney Australia after waiting 4 months for the interview. We were approved with no hassles,
Today I received an email saying my visa had been issued.
We were so surprised and were expecting a few weeks before I had my visa in hand, but I've been tracking my passport today and it has already left Sydney and in transit to Perth
Tomorrow, once I have my visa delivered I will be booking my flight to Seattle
we wish everyone the best of luck on your journey, hang in there happiness is just around the bend

hi there
im just curious about the required extension?
my interview isn't until 29th sept but were trying to figure out the time frame to receive my visa in hand once ive had the interview
as my fiancé is flying over for the interview and we were planning on waiting for the visa and then returning to US together..
did you apply for the extension? or are they still behind in issuing visa's?

I also had the same question and I emailed the consulate and they said you need to get the full fingerprint check as it is a requirement. You might need to ring the AFP and tell them its urgent for immigration purposes.
Goodluck
thank you...I also emailed them last night but haven't received a reply..Im going to play it safe and keep my fingerprint apptment Thursday in Perth

hi there
We are wondering the same thing
I am booked in on 25th to have fingerprints done in Perth and then post them to AFP and wait for a long 30 working days...
I read the same thing about not needing fingerprints done as long as you list any alias names on the form
can you please let me know if you found an answer to which one is the best
and good luck at your interview

Hi everyone
our noa2 was approved on 22nd may and up til today not a word was heard from the nvc,
we started to wonder if our package was lost in the mail, Dan rang tonight and on the 17th call finally got to speak to an operator who informed him they had our file and to wait 20mins to speak to a specialist...he was on hold for 1hr 27 mins
Dan was given our case # and was told it arrived on 11th june and forwarded on to Sydney Embassy on the 16th june...
We are so relieved and very excited right now...my medical and fingerprints are on Thursday in Perth..
Things are looking great.
please don't give up trying to get through to nvc..its worth the wait to hear positive news

hi everyone
I've kinda asked this question before, but hoping for some more helpful info
my daughter isn't coming with me to America, but ive put her on the ds160 form to follow later
my question is does she need to come to Sydney for embassy interview with me,or does she wait til shes ready and do her medical and police clearance at a later date and have her own interview?
my other question is she has a waiver visa and we're planning to be married in November, can she still travel on that if she hasn't applied for the k2 visa?
hope someone can help
thanx

hi everyone
we are so excited to get our noa2 notice, after checking our online status multiple times a day and seeing the same 'please correct errors...blah,blah
I decided to check one more time Friday night 8pm pacific time,it finally said something different...my case was approved may 22nd...
we were so happy and I know couples are waiting for longer than our 39 days and I wish you all a fast approval date,
we are so blessed to have got csc

Thank you for clearing up my question about single entry for k2 visa
-
I guess we just wait to get our noa2 first
-
of course we discussed it with her
but we also thought her 12mth visa would let her travel more than once to make sure its WHAT SHE WANTED
that's exactly what im on here asking about....is it a single entry visa for k2????
-
hi everyone
we are currently waiting for our noa2, in our application we put my daughter(18yrs old) down as a k2 but to follow later.
now I"m wondering about the interview stage,if we're approved her passport will be stamped and her visa lasts for 12 mths
my question is..does her visa only allow one entry into the U.S like my k1 visa? I don't think she is ready to leave her job and friends to settle in U.S just yet,but we thought it was best to list her on the application
my other concern is that she has to have a medical, fingerprint clearance and we also need to fly from Perth to Sydney, its a huge expense if she cant visit me and then return home to Australia until she is ready to relocate
does anyone have some good advice on whether I shouldn't get her the k2 visa just yet???
