Wanted to give an update on our K1 progress. NVC sent out our case on 9/11/2015 and the case was updated to Ready on 9/15/2015. My fiance was so excited because she had just finished getting her last bit of paperwork done; NBI clearance, Cenomar, etc... We got an appointment on 9/28 set up and she will be going off to Manila to take care of medical 1 week before. This process has moved along a lot faster than expected but still seems like forever away from my fiance. I Hope everyone gets as fast a process.
I was wondering if any July filers have been been approved yet for their K1 Visa?

Congrats! Got our NVC# last Tuesday and my fiancée in the PH paid the visa fee, 5hrs later we scheduled her interview on the 21st and today is her 1st day of her Medical and she did not even brought a screenshot of the case number(she called SLEC to confirm though). They were asking her screenshot though out the medical and she told them that she'll bring it in on the 2nd appointment. As I type this, they're on their way back home and medical is half way done!! Rock n' Roll time!!You are definitely on the fast track, congrats. I hope we can be as fast. My fiance thought she had to wait until the case was received by the Manila embassy before she could start the process.

I would check LBC Express, http://www.lbcexpress.com/I shipped documents to Philippines yesterday for cheap. They had boxes available but I did not check rates. I think i saw a Wisconsin office on there site.

Just mailed off my I-134 Affidavit of Support and a new Letter of intent to my Fiance in the Philippines. I used LBC Express to send it, much cheaper than Fedex. $15.95 to send a 1.6 LBS packet of documents. I was just going to send the signed forms and have her print out the rest but it was only $5 more to send the whole packet. FedEx wanted my first born and half my paycheck.
LBC Express has about 60 USA locations I think, I had one about 30 minutes away so I was lucky. I scan and upload all my documents to a PDF file to Google Drive for my fiance to share. Now the waiting to get the MNL#... Good luck everyone.

Spoke too soon... I just got emailed and we have a RFE.
I thought I was so careful putting the package together...but obviously I blew it somehow. So now we wait for the mailed copy to see what is wrong.
Getting an RFE isn't the worst thing in the world, at least they are working on your case and as soon as you respond it can be approved. I always try to look for the positive things in every situation.

I just got my NOA1 text / email notification that my I-129F Application was accepted and routed to CSC on July 30. I sent it on July 24 as well via USPS. Hoping for a speedy trip through CSC.

Everyone mails the initial filing to Texas lockbox, they forward the package to the appropriate Service Center. I think most are going to the California Service center now as the Texas service center (I-129F purgatory) was so backed up. California service center seems to have a much better time between NOA1 and NOA2. I mailed my my I-129F on July 24 as well, I did not get any notifications yet but they did cash my check.

I hope theres room on this boat. ? I just mailed off my I-129F application on 7/24/15 via USPS Express mail. I followed the guides here on visa Journey pretty closely, so I hope all goes smoothly and no RFE's. I am from California and my fiance is from the Philippines. Good luck all you July filers.

Hi, I would like to find out what is the proper way to file my I-129F. My fiance in the Philippines has a 1 year old daughter, we will be having her come to the united states after we get married here in the USA. I want my fiance to go to school so she can get a decent job before her child follows. We both agree on this btw. my main question is this, Do I include my fiance's daughter on the initial I-129F filing? And what would be the process to bring her over down the road? Thanks in advance for your answers.

I am going to go to Philipines to visit my Fiance in July, I will start the K-1 process to bring my Fiance to America shortly after. Will my fiance be able to visit the USA for a short visit a few months after I start the K-1 Process? Will she need to have a travel visa?

Thanks, this website is amazing. When I first started looking into a k-1 visa, it made me think I needed a lawyer, now i feel i can do this without one. There is so many good people and information here. Thank you all for your responses.

Hi, I am currently researching the K-1 Visa process, I will be going to the Philippines in 2 months to meet my fiance in person. I plan to file for the K-1 Visa soon after. I probably will have many questions down the road, but I was wondering if my w2 and tax returns are enough proof of being able to support my fiance. I made over 70k and 80k the last 2 years, so I am way over the limit needed. Will I need to go get more proof that is listed in the guides such as a letter from my employer and bank? Thanks in advance.

This process went so fast, Good luck to all those still waiting. Only thing left for us is the CFO seminar she must attend.
