  1. first question. do we need 5x difference in income or 3x difference in income. i am sponsoring my husband.

second question. how do I submit proof of assets. my assets are simply cash in checking accounts. multiple accounts. if we need 5x assets then I do have the sufficient assets today.. and as of about 2 months ago, but before that the combined balances in all my accounts were short of the required amount. is that gonna be a problem?

for example- I need to cover a difference of about $5000... which means I need to have at least $25000 in assets, correct? up until 2 months ago, the combined balance in my various checking accounts has been about 21-23k.. but as of 2 months ago, I received some payments and the sum of my balance has been closer to 30k. Is that sufficent to show proof of assets?

  2. If the sponsoring citizen has no say in having it taken away.. in case of things not working out etc? my question is about why do they have this thing and make people pay and file................ it seems to serve no purpose really, other then just another fee for uscis. i read cases on vj where people are seperating before the end of the 2 year conditional greencard and everyone advises them that ohhh dont even worry, he/she can not take your green card away. you can remove conditions on your own.

so my question is, if a marriage is less then 2 years old then why do they issue a "condtional" greencard? why not issue one with no conditions as these conditions don't really serve a purpose. just seems to me that uscis just wants another fee for nothing. someone people explain the point of the conditions and what purpose exactly does it serve?

  3. From the time your NO2 happens until your case is complete at NVC how long on average is it taking these days? Are there different service centers at NVC like at USCIS that have different average processing times etc., Like NOA-2 takes on average 5 months, how long does NVC take to complete the case provided you submit everything right away and there are no checklists?

  4. I think what you want to do is this. You want to file an i-130 and once your recieve NOA1 (in a week) you want to file i-129F for k-3 visa based on the pending i-130. So yes in that case you got all the forms covered. Just file i-130 first and then wait until you recieve a letter then file the i-129F. Although, not sure how helpful it'll be since the i-129F is now taking just as long as the i-130 anyway and with the k3 route you will have to pay more for adjustment of status later. so it might be that you'll save a month or two of waiting time/ or not and then have to spend another $1000 to get her a green card.

i suggest speak with a lawyer or do some more research.

  5. i read up about the medical exam before interview and one of the things it said was that they examine "external genetalia" ?? what if you are not comfortable with that? can you choose to get a female doctor to do the exam? i am a religious person and we are very strict about these kinds of things. i do not want a male doctor looking me down there. do they really do that? and what is the purpose for that?

we only have 1 approved doctor's office in my city, what if it's a male doctor and i refuse to take off my clothes?
