  1. I truly believe she is lying to you as she lied to USCIS. She wrote a letter of intent to get married, then do not tell me she did not know.

It doesn't matter if she wanted a better life for her family, people choose other ways to live instead using fraud. What do you expect from someone that tried to scam your Country?

We have hundreds of decisions from the Court of Appeals regarding AOS denied because of sham marriages. You will waste time and money trying to get her here .I know she is not submitting document for AOS,but the l130 will be denied. The punishment is severe.

You didn't ask but here is my advice, find someone's with moral values, because this girl has her moral compass broken. Excusing her fraud attempt is silly to say the least. We have people from poor Countries such as Nigeria Kenya,Philippines,Brazil,Uganda,Colombia etc., that entered here legally.Your girl fraud plan did not work

I share the same opinion but why did she say (whatever she said) at the interview?

  2. sometimes the CO realizes some important fact or circumstance which he or she overlooked earlier and they decide to refuse even after they told you that it is approved. They just told you verbally that the visa is approved and not in written form and they can change their decision anytime.Hope you did not update ur Facebook or did something socially to make them suspicious. It could be a mistake also, like the person updated "refused" by mistake.

  3. I would suggest you to not lie at any time and for any reason. They might and most probably will check with the employer. You should explain the reason of her leaving her job which is sickness. Also if you have savings in your bank account, you can show them that and tell them that your are able to support yourself as well.If you tell them that "i don't want her to work" then it might create a negative impact,in my opinion. So refrain from saying "i don't want her to work" instead try to explain the situation.god bless

  4. In my personal opinion,it is RFE and I would suggest you to look into it in a positive way.The more evidence you have in your petition, the more likely you will be issued a visa. The consular officer will have less questions to ask you in case you have loaded your petition with all the necessary and relevant evidences. So once again,do not freak out and answer the RFE and you will be approved.

  5. She is not legally responsible. Before leaving make sure you report this matter to the USICS in writing so they know what actually happened in case you plan to travel to the USA,in future. This will prevent you fiancee to further abuse someone else because the immigration may not allow her to petition for someone else in future. Moreover you will have a documentary proof that you made them aware about the circumstances.Who knows what story your fiancee tells them in case they ask for it.It is my personal opinion.

  6. Hi all, the situation is serious so I would appreciate any help.

I'm from a country in Europe and, after having my K-1 petition approved, I came to the U.S.. to my fiancee (who is the petitioner) one week ago. Unfortunately, she started emotionally abusing me, making threats and blackmailing me and many many bad things went down. I don't want to go into the details but needless to say I don't feel safe anymore and do not want to stay in this relationship after going through all that only the FIRST WEEK of me being here.

    I have the following questions:

    1) how can we cancel the visa and how long does it take?

    2) when it gets cancelled, do I have to immediately get out of the country? I have a return flight but it isn't for another two months.

    3) once the visa is cancelled, am I no longer any sort of financial responsibility (or any other type of responsibility) for the petitioner?

Help is much appreciated, I am looking forward to your replies as soon as possible

  7. Good morning everyone,

Me and my fiance have applied for the k1-visa since February ,the case was completed by 11 June 2015 and the case status was ready and waiting for the embassy to schedule interview. But now we have been waiting for the embassy to call for almost 4 months. The situation is getting frustrated day after day and we have contacted the embassy couple of times and they replied with the same thing for 2 months which is " they are still scheduling interviews for the begging of April " and this is of course something I don't want to believe because if it's true then that's really sad. Note that my application from the NVC expired.

I would like to know if I am the only one in this situation and what should I suppose to do to fix this problem.

Thanks everyone for your help :)

donot worry about the expired petetion as it will be automatically extended by the consulate officer. You have to wait till they schedule the people who are waiting before you.Check your status on CEAC website and soon you will hear from them.Be patient.

  8. I am a Indian guy and my girlfriend is American(Caucasian).I have worked in USA on a cruise ship for 9 years and left the job 7 months ago.I met my girlfriend online 5 years ago and we talked online until i visited her 2 years ago.I visited her for 4 days and met her mom only as her dad didn't accept our relationship then after one year visited her for 20 days on a tourist visa, directly from the ship. She visited India after that for 10 days and met my family but we never did any formal engagement ceremony.Neither did I give her an engagement ring. She applied for a K 1 visa in December 2014 and we are still waiting for NOA2.I have read on several forums that the new delhi consulate specifically asks for the proof of engagement. We have planned to marry in a courtroom without a big ceremony and will actually have a ceremony after one year. Now i really don't know what to tell the consulate officer in case he asks me for the proof of engagement or the wedding plans.PLEASE GUIDE ME IN THIS REGARD.I WILL GREATLY APPRECIATE YOU PEOPLE AND YOUR GUIDANCE.THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
