  1. Tyson I too am still a little confused but as long as you enter before your visa expires, from what I can gather you will be fine,

It certainly isn't helpful when people just tell you too read the thread, clearly you read it.

    All the best

Yeah. I agree. Thanks. There have to be a lot of people that received 221gs that take 1-2 months or longerrr to complete, or people under certain circumstances that just cant quickly come right after approval and have their noa2 valid date expired but they go thru POE just fine. Everyone should know their visa is valid 6 months from medical, people at CPB def should know this. It's just very bad luck for Heatheve. :(

It is so easy to surpass the 4 month valid period for the noa2 that are beyond one's control. Just feel bad for Heatheve.

  2. Anyone experience this before? We got 221g'd.. sent our response, then on the 12th business day after they accepted it, they asked for a copy of the DS160 for "fiance visas printing process." I'm hoping this is the last and final step but anyone else experience this??

  3. Yes we have a case number. Do we need to address to the attention of someone? Or include case number somewhere?

Can only make it to attention to : U.S. Embassy Bangkok Consular Section, Immigrant Visa Unit

My lawyer did all the work but I would put beneficiary's name and case number (BNK....) on every page, top right hand corner or something.

  4. My fiancee did not receive packet 3, but nvc site says ready for 2 weeks now. Packet 3 online doesn't have mailing instructions. Could someone please provide to me?

do not wait for packet 3 in the mail, it's useless to wait

all documents should be mailed to (EMS is the best way)

    U.S. Embassy Bangkok

    Consular Section, Immigrant Visa Unit

    120-122 Wireless Road, Lumpini

    Bangkok 10330

Did you get your case number?

  5. They touched the case on their own. If no update by tomorrow my attorney will be emailing them Wednesday to request the status, having passed the "15 business days".

You can email them yourselves, I don't think it matters if you or a lawyer emails them.

  6. Once on Aug 14th and again on Aug 19th and that's it.

Any update? I decided to email them last night (US eastern time: 10PM.. Bangkok Time:9am Monday) and they responded pretty quick but no real news. EMS delivered it Wednesday but guess it wasn't processed until Friday.

    Dear Mr. ___:

Thank you for your e-mail. We received your documents on August 28, 2015. Your case is currently undergoing administrative processing pending a decision.

Administrative processing could take a minimum of one month.

While we are unable to determine how long the processing will take, we appreciate your continued patience while this mandatory processing is completed. The Embassy will advise you once a decision has been made or additional documentation is required. Applicant should refrain from making any irrevocable travel arrangements prior to receiving visa by postal mail.

You can monitor your case status online, using your BNK number, at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx. When the visa decision has been made, the case status will be updated to “Ready”. Once the status has changed, you may contact our office again to follow up.

We trust this information is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Immigrant Visa unit

  7. I would start emailing the ivunit. Theyre not suppose to help untilafter a certain time period but can always try. Maybe you'll get a helpful person. Mine is only 2 business days since day they received it but I already plan on emailing on Monday. They've always been kind and helpful.

  8. We've sent our 221g response w/ tracking,.. I understand it takes awhile to get a response (10-15 business days) but I keep checking CEAC, since the day they received it, the CEAC is updating everyday but no change, is it normal to update everyday?
