  1. You won't be able to pull a phone number out of them. Direct contact with someone in the service centers is strictly forbidden. I somewhat agree with this, if they had to respond with everyone asking them for information those doing the processing would spend more time answering questions than actually processing.

I do think there should be a somewhat more direct process for those of us who have been in the pipeline for an unreasonable amount of time.

As to CSC email, I posted in the service center area that it looks like they aren't answering emails anymore.

  2. Well my last reply from the CSC email line is as follows:

The California Service Center (CSC) does not accept inquiries from the general public via email. All inquiries must be submitted to the National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. The National Customer Service Center will route your inquiry to the appropriate USCIS District Office or Service Center, and will track your inquiry to a final resolution. If you've received a transfer notice regarding your case, please inform the National Customer Service Center at the time you submit your inquiry. The National Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, PST.

So the last "real" way to get a hold of someone who could actually tell you something is no longer there. What a shame.

  3. That statement sounds a bit like a disclaimer. If you look closely at the VJ timelines, K1's generally DO NOT take 8 months to a year...that is absolutely ridiculous. They usually take 2-4 months TOPS for an NOA2, which is the sitiuation we are specifically dealing with at CSC...

Joseph, if you had been around last year you'd notice that everyone who filed to the CSC between July and september took well over 5 months for NOA-2, heck there was a 6 week period that the processing timeline never changed.

While 8 months to a year for a completion is a bit on the high side, 6 months to 9 months is realistic for those on the west coast.

Just be glad they didn't send your paperwork from CSC to VSC and back without doing anything like they did mine. Of course I kinda blow all the timelines away!

  4. Email is the best way to get a hold of them directly. You still will not get much in the way of info, for example my last two emails have come back as

"requested for processing" and "being processed" Compared to the National Disservice Center though who can only tell you something if they make a request it's a little better.

  5. I've traveled to see my fiance 5 times in the year we have waited for NOA-2. While others are correct about the fiance having problems coming to you in the US, it isn't an issue to go the other way.

In actuality by doing this you are strengthing the proof of the relationship, especially if you can get more photos of the 2 of you together and keep all the airline tickets, hotel reservations etc.

I figure the pictures of the 2 of us together in 4 different countries should help her breeze through the interview.

  6. I'm not sure if this will make you feel better or worse. My NOA1 was July 13th 2005. I have now going over 1 year before NOA2.

I finally recieved confirmation by email that the app was actually being processed July 1st 2006. That's right my application has been floating around without being looked at for almost a year.

Attempts to use my congressperson did nothing to make them move.

What I've discovered through this wait is that it takes a huge amount of patience to deal with an agency that moves at it's own pace and isn't accountable to anyone it seems, least of all those who pay for it.

I've also discovered we are committed to the relationship and will do anything to stay together.

So keep waiting, someday your turn will come.

  7. Currently at 9 months out, issue yeah you could call it that. I just recieved an email last week stating that the application was requested for processing. Of course I don't know when it was requested so who knows.

I've never been hung up on, not sure what you did to deserve that. I've only had 1 of 5 people I call express sympathy and she wasn't much actual help.

  8. Yeah, I'm not sure if the request to my congressman is what began the request for the application, I did re-email the CSC asking when the application was requested so I could tell if it did any good.

With that as a reply I'm now going to wait about a week before hitting up my senators.

  9. Hi, so my last contact with the National Customer Service Center has proven to be fruitless. I need to see if

To summarize my situation I am 271 days after NOA1 (July 13th)from the CSC. I filed for change of address in November, recieved a reciept of this change from the CSC. I originally filed an out of process in December, but there is no record of this. I then refiled another out of process in February and received an email stating I should hear something in 60 days. I called the national service center last week and surpise no information and all I can do is file another out of process. This time I didn't recieve the file ordered email like I did in Feb.

My question is if there is an alternate way to contact the CSC without going through the NSC? Like an email address or something? At this point it's gotten so stupid that I'm ready to simply cancel the application and refile. If it wasn't such a PITA to regather the documents we need I'd probably do this.

  10. If that is what happens then those working on the I-130's must have put one hell of a lot of files on top of mine, we are now 18 days over the processing date.

11 more days will take us to the 30 days over and I think it will be time to get the congressman involved because waiting 7 months for the NOA2 is ridiculous.

I agree, I'm waiting my 60 days for the out of process and if things haven't cleared by then I'm going to be contacting my Congressman. At that point it will be over 9 months for me.

Just curious did you do a change of address or anything like that?

  11. Hello to everyone, has anyone received any information if California Service Center is making any progress they have been stuck on December 31 FOREVER. I just wonder if their information is accurate. My NOA1 was on Jan 23, 2006 and I am trying to figure out some kind of approximation of when I should or could expect NOA2...any information would be most appreciated. On a different note I think they need to redistrict these service centers, have you noticed that Vermont flies through...kind of tells me Vermont needs more work while some of the others need less which would offer a little more consistency and fairness to the process....just my opinion.

    thanks,

    Ken

Unfortunately with the only exception I see of cases from Texas going to California there isn't much in the way of sharing the load. Of course this is expected of an agency that doesn't follow a first in first out rule.

Don't worry I've been waiting since July 13th.

  12. Since my I-129F is currently in line to be processed by the CSC I have been checking the processing time regularly. ( https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Proc...nter=California )

Last month's update (February 12th, I think) said that they were currently processing cases received on December 31st. I was excited since mine was received on January 9th... I figured that they would be reviewing my case by the end of February. Then the March processing update was released on March 7th and the processing date was exactly the same (Dec 31st) !!!! Do they do this often? Did they get ahead of schedule and decide to put their efforts somewhere else?

Just wanted to vent my anxiety!

My experience from back in August,Sept and October is that they once went 6 weeks or more without changing the processing date. I'm not sure why it's done that way.
