  1. We got our Case completion Email today for F4 .When we will get interview???

    PD:Dec 2002

Do we have to 1 more month or will our interview will be scheduled before they publish visa bulletin????

The NVC schedules interviews around the end of each month (about 10 days). Depending on which embassy and how well they are staffed will determine how fast you'll get a date... They operate on a first come first serve.... You'll find out in a few weeks... Good Luck

  2. Thanks for clarifying this!

    Thanks Marina!

    A few more questions:

    - Do my parents need to fill & sign the DS-261 and mail it to the NVC from their home country or I can fill and sign it for them and mail from here. There will be a lot of delay if they have to mail it from my home country.

    - Same question with the DS 260 form, do they need to sign it or can I sign it?

    Thanks again.

The DS-260... You will fill that out as your parents agent

The DS-261 is filled out on line...

  3. Thanks guys!

    Another question:

I am filling for my mom and my dad at the same time, do I need to file separate I-864 form for each of them?

Although I my salary alone qualify for the minimum requirement, my husband make way more, should I include him as a sponsor?

Thank you! this a great forum :-)

1 I-864 works for both... And if you make enough to cover the poverty line then there is no need to add your spouse... You're about 4 months away from a Case Closed... Good Luck

  4. I initially sent them an email complaining about it, but after speaking to a NVC worker who told me it might take months for a supervisor to open a case to investigate what happened I decided to send them again.

You were lucky to get someone to it so quickly.

Not so much luck.... I have a brother in law that works for the State Dept. he told me that the documents are there... A supervisor can do a document search from the mail room... I was also told the same nonsense as you were told about it taking so long.. That again is nonsense... You have to get by the first line of agents.... Most supervisors can have it completed in about 10 days.... This is the 4th time through the process for one thing or another... I hope it works out for you... Best of Luck

  5. Thank you :-)

I am trying to get my documents prepared and I have this questions: Do I need to send my original birth certificate and my parents original marriage certificate to NVC? If Yes how do you make sure it doesn't get lost?

My parents dont live here, does that means they will have to first mail me their original marriage certificate and I will mail to NVC?

    Thanks

We sent color copies... If they need to see them they will be asked at the interview...

  6. So I got the 3 N/As for my stepson's case today, but my wife's is still not complete. So I call the NVC, which I surprisingly got through to within 10 minutes, only to find out that my wife's case has been reviewed and is complete except for...wait for it...........a police report from Great Britain...a country she has never lived in and never visited!!! The operator told me that she can't tell me why, but their system is waiting for that. So now they want my wife to mail them a letter stating that she never lived in or visited Great Britain for more than six months. She also said it could take 30 DAYS TO REVIEW THAT LETTER and get a case complete!

I am so fuming mad right now!

Sorry.... We went through some stupidity of the NVC also...wife's father was approved but her mom wasn't .... I called and was told to wait for the documents to be reviewed... After another 30 days I was told that they lost the documents and needed 2 weeks to find them and another 40 days to review them ?. I asked for a supervisor and called and when I didn't get one or was not available I hung up and called again and again until they found one.... The supervisor fixed the problem in 5 days.... I suggest the same with you.... Get a supervisor involved... Do not take NO for a answer.... Best of Luck

  7. My parent I-130 were approved yesterday, I am waiting for the NOA2! Best of luck to those still waiting.

What is the next step? how long does it take and how can I prepare to make sure there is no delay?

From the NVC website, they say I need to select an agent, how do you do that? I guess i am the agent for my parents?

    Thanks all!

Fist off congrats! Your next step will be to contact the NVC @ (603) 334-0700. And see if you have a case number ... This may take a couple of weeks... Once you have that you will be able to select a agent (which is yourself). Start gathering all documents: birth certificates, NBI. names and addresses of siblings and any other information that is needed... It is best to look at the forms that you'll be filling out and start writing down the answers so you don't waste any time ... Any information is right here... And plenty of people to help... It's about another 4 month process to get through the NVC... Good luck!

  8. FWIW a LOT less drama than I expected. I helped load the baggage into the van and stood by the wayside while the family unit sais their goodbyes, tears included. Wife said it's time to go, walked out, I stepped back in to tell the siblings to study hard, told mom and dad we'll see you on Skype and that was it.

Of course I don't know what transpired after we left. But it was substantially cleaner than I had expected.

It went about the same for my wife and myself... Most of the crying, hugging and more crying happened the day before... What hit my wife the hardest was walking through the airport doors... The 2 times before when I had visited it was just me... But when she realized that she was leaving her country into the great unknown was very hard for her... She came close to not boarding the plane... It was a long hard flight for her... A lot of hugging and telling her what a good life awaits her here... First thing was talking to her family... The rest is time time time... But for us? Coming up on 10 years married and it kept getting better and better every year... Best of luck!

  9. A lot depends on interview availability... Some embassies are bigger and have more agents.... The October interviews should start coming out on Monday and Tursday of this week coming up or the next

I've also been looking at the speed sheet of people's CC and when they get interviews... Noticed that they seem to schedule every 4 weeks... It's coming... Look for them on Monday and Tuesday

  10. check ceac website tonight and see 3 n/a , so i call nvc to verify and the lady said case was complete but waiting on step child case to complete ,so she check step child case and said it was finish today and does not need anything else, and she dont know why the case did not show it is ready for interview date, then she said probably cause it was just completed today, but she going to bring it to her supervisor attention that the child case is complete and ready to be link up with other case for interview date.

Congrats ?. Interview dates are set next week for Oct.... Hope that you get a slot

  11. Spoke with NVC 3 times in past week. Supervisor is never available. They say our case is being looked into.

How can you loose track of a case? Only the NVC can do that..lol

If we don't look after our case I suppose it just disappears... Awesome system.

We are petitioning my wife's parents... We sent all the documents in the same envelope with their own cover page... Her father went right through and was completed 8/4/15... After calling a week later there was still nothing on her mom and we were told that they didn't look over her paper.... After calling them 3 to 4 times a day... Everyday for a week I got a supervisor... Found out that they lost her paperwork... She filed a document request and got the paperwork 3 days later and a case complete the next day....

Persistence! And one phone call after another... If I had t I believe that we'd still be waiting...

  12. Anyone else have this problem. I have 3 cases joined together and are now finally at the NVC. I paid my wifes IV fee back at the end of July and becuase they screwed up my DS-261 I had to redo my choice of agent for the kids.

I paid both my other IV fees on the same day one at 1030 in the morning and the other at about 11:00 at night. The one I paid for at 11:00 at night already shows processed and completed and submitted the DS-260. The one I submitted 12 hours earlier still show IN-PROCESS.

The money have been taken out of my bank for the 2 fees but the one I paid 12 hours earlier won't let me complete the DS-260 and it shows IN-PROGRESS and it has been over a week.

Talked to NVC and they stated I just have to wait for it which is ridiciulous since they have my money for over a week and say they have no way of releasing it so I can complete the DS-260

It's normal for this.... It took us about 10 days for the DS-260 to open up... The best thing is to make sure that you have all the answers for the document so that when it does open up you will be ready... You can also call the NVC... They have he ability to open it up if you catch the right person .... Best of Luck!

  13. Checklist was received by NVC on August 21st. Are they supposed to send me an email notifying they`ve received my checklist for missing docs??? Because up until now 11 days later, I still dont know my scan date (If it has even been scanned yet)

I called NVC and theyt couldnt give me an answer.

They took over a month to check in our checklist.. I think that it was around 42 days... You never know with the NVC... Give it a bit more time and then call.... Best of luck!

  14. Thanks yeah...seems like...the anticipation is killing me and making me so anxious. So im guessing i should get the interview instruction sometime towards end of Sept and maybe interview towards end of October. I hope all goes well. As I'd really like to see my eldest son and husband already! God bless and good luck on your papers and interview too! T.C.

I am thinking that your interview instructions around be second week of Sept and a interview date in mid Oct... It works out to about 6 weeks from Case Closed to interview

  15. I just noticed from our CEAC status that AOS fee changed to N/A?? Inputs, any please? I read somewhere that this could indicated that case may be complete? The original documents that my husband sent haven't arrive yet and I'm a little worried. Kindly please share your experience. How long does it usually take to be scheduled for interview after that "AOS PAID" changed to "N/A" thing happen? Any comment will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

From what I have been seeing... After you see the N/A it is case completed... Right now it is taking anywhere from 10 to 20 days to get your instructions and interview date.... the interview date is approx 30 days from when you get the instructions.... Good luck... We are awaiting our interview date as well

  16. Well, the NVC is stating 30 days. But usually their timelines are a bit extreme, told me takes 4 weeks to receive case from USCIS, only took 1 week.

That's why I'm wondering if my case will be complete before the "30 day review time".

Right now it is taking about 35 to 40 days to get through the NVC... Barring any hiccups (checklist)...they got a bit behind when the computers went down for 2 months... Good luck!

  17. I called NVC and spoke with a Case Supervisor, and it took her a while to understand why NVC would think there's an error. After she checked with a higher-up, she confirmed that because my mom filled out an I-864A to attach to my father's I-864, Item 7 was supposed to be checked off instead of Item 3, even though it's the same total household number and it states "siblings, parents or adult children" in Item 7, but nothing about spouses.

There's gotta be a monkey making this stuff up from behind the curtain...over the phone I'm like...uhhh...okay, I'll move the number 1 from Item 3 to Item 7...how bizarre that they focus on something as unimportant as that.

Yep... Some of he things they can get you for can be rediculas .... But at least you are moving along... And it really does come to a end eventually..... lol
