  1. Hi,

They finally put me in line for interview yesterday (7/20/15). The step that delayed my case was the FBI name check. Typically they should resolve everything within six months even if the name got a hit . USCIS should be able to tell you what exactly is causing the delay. In my case, the first time I went for an Infopass, the officer was clueless. The second time, another officer told me it's the FBI name check, which cleared for me after 5 months.

    Hope everything went well.

Was your field office LA office? Or LA County office?

    Thanks for the response

  2. Hey All,

My application was received on Jan. 15, 2015. I've done my biometrics back in Feb. I've received no notices after that. As of today, Jun. 18, 2015, my online status still shows "Case was received". I've gone to an InfoPass appointment and called the service center multiple times, but have been blown off each time with the standard "your application is still within the processing time" reply.

Any suggestions on how to get this application moving again?

    How was your application?

My fiancé is in the same situation too. However he sent his on July.

LA field office is taking too long :/

  3. Can anyone help?

My fiancé filed his application for naturalization last April, after his biometrics on April 23, he haven't heard anything from USCIS. Now I want to check the processing time. I just need to determine which his field office is since he lives in Whittier, and it is under Los Angeles field office and Los Angeles COUNTY field office. Can anyone please enlighten me.

  4. Angeliquersario,

I am more and more intrigued by this option. Do you mind sharing more about your experience and how you went about getting the internship?

So I applied through a certain agency here in the Philippines to assist me with the paperworks and of course I had to pay for their services plus the cost of everything with my application. But as I learnt how the process will be without the help of an agency, first she had to find a sponsor for her internship ( I know a few :) ) then she has to send an application to them so they can review her credentials and undergo an interview, after that they will find her an employer and she will again have her interview, and when she's matched, she will have to take a medical exam and push through the embassy interview. The process may take 3 months or more, depending how fast she is matched to an employer and when they needed her. She can't also choose which state she will be going. It is a 12 month paid internship ( $8-$12/hr depends on the state) And the cost of the program will be an estimated of $4k-$6k atleast. I already forgot how much it cost me. Hope this helps.

  5. I submitted I129f with just passport copies. I too lost my naturalization papers and don't want to wait to get another one. It did say in the instructions that passport copies are acceptable. Look at your form for specific detailed instructions on what you can submit. It should say it there. Mine did and really helped me not to panic. Good luck!

In filing the I-129f question Part 1. #13 did you answered Citizenship acquired through naturalization? If so, what did you wrote on items 13.d.1 - d.3 which asks for certificate numbers and stuff if you don't have your certificate of naturalization.

  6. A US passport serves as proof of US citizenship, provided it does not bear the endorsement "The bearer of this passport is a United States national and not a United States citizen".

Thank you for replying. I know every cases varies, but my concern is, do you think if we only send the copy of US passport, will it affect/delay the I-129f process? Have you encountered such situation? Coz I don't really want to wait 6-12 months to request for another certificate.
