  1. My wife had her interview on 29th October 2015 and was approved but because of our new born her passport was given to her to use to complete the CRBA process. Fast forward to Nov 9th the CRBA was completed and my wife submitted her passport tru dhl location as instructed and told to return after 5days but till today ceac website still says administrative processing. I have sent series of email trying to determine reason even stated completion of CRBA wit receipt hoping probably thats why but yet still at administrative processing. Its just frustrating to see the least cos i was hoping i will see my new born by xmas but seems unlikely given what i have read about it. It just hurts right now just out of options and dnt know else to do than pray this dnt take long as it seems

  2. Hello everyone i really didn't know if here is the right forum but i decided to since its says Administrative processing. My wife had her interview at the lagos embassy on 0ct 29th 2015 and was approved .did a CRBA of our new born on Nov 9th 2015 after which she returned her passport. But till this date on the ceac website it still states administrative processing. I have emailed several times to the embassy for reasons for the delay but to no avail. I have read about administrative processing and I'm so terrified of how long this process takes even as long time 1yr.pleasehas anyone been in this situation before and offer any kind of help. I'm a wreck right now and i was hoping i will get to meet our new born by this xmas but seems unlikely at this point. What can i do?

  3. I am trying to go through all documents as my wife has an interview for Oct 29th at lagos. And I'm a bit confused at some of the documents. I know she has to present originals or birth certificate and marriage certificate. But do she still need to present originals of my tax transcript, w2's and paystubs? I submitted all this to NVC and there have not been any sort of changes in terms of my work, and I'm the only sponsor. I actually still scanned and sent over the transcript from 2011-2014 and the updated aos form but my question is if she actually has to go to the interview with originals of this tax transcript? Please anyone please advice. I'm just trying to ensure she's got everything right

  4. Have anyone processed a CRBA in lagos embassy Nigeria? I'm getting ready this month for an appointment but i need to know if scanned copies of the documents needed for the process is acceptable. I really don't have a reliable address to mail some very vital documents and scared of loosing it. I was hoping i can print the form fill it out scan and send it over through email for my wife to print including other supporting documents and take it with her to the appointment. If anyone has been through the process in lagos embassy please let me know. I did send an email to the embassy but no response yet and must of the time you just get the computer automated response to varied questions.

  5. Got email of Interview this morning. (Lagos) Nigeria. CC July 29th. Interview October 29th. I know is hard but one thing is certain at this stage you at the get scheduled for interview it all comes down to how u can handle being patient. It will definitely come there's no 2 ways about it. If we can get through the approval stage at uscis which in my opinion is the most frustrating then interview is just a piece of cake. Hang in there 2 others still waiting it will get 2u . best of luck 2 everyone

  6. Very frustrating. My case complete is July 29 for Nigeria and no interview yet. I called today and same thing just wait. I was really so excited when i updated my case from F2A to CR1 because i thought at most 2 weeks i will have an interview date but one thing i have learnt from this whole process is everything is a waiting game. Its tough 2 take. I just gave up. Will just wait whenever it comes. Best of luck

  7. Good day i wanted to get more information on how to apply for CRBA and also know if anyone has been tru the process in Lagos Nigeria. My wife is 7 mnt pregnant awaiting immigrant visa interview but i want to prepare on time as her expected delivery is early October. I'm a U.S citizen after spending five years as LPR. Please if anyone knows the process and time frame please kindly share so ican start now to get necessary docs ready.

Thanks...hope to hear from anyone on there experience or process

  8. Lol...Thanks @ general buhari.dhweels and aaron2020 shed so much light on the situation. Actually i was getting confused with the fact that the baby needs a visa not realising that all the baby needs its a U.S passport which i have to do tru the CRBA. I just got it all mixed up. Its actually just my wife who needs a Visa. Its just a huge relief to be clarified about it...several other pple here also gave instances on the CRBA and time frames. I feel a huge weight off my shoulders....tnks guys
