Me & Steve met over the internet starting in 2011. We are both huge movie fans and he came across a video series I was doing online called The Blockbuster Chick. We started sending random jokey messages to each other not taking it seriously as first and then May 2nd was when it all changed. We were in a friends livestream and started chatting again. Steve asked for my Skype information which I gave to him, and we started chatting on Skype.....for about 4 hours that night!! We started talking more and more and found we were really connecting with each other, until about 2 weeks after we started talking we found ourselves both saying to each other "I love you". About 5 months after we started dating we were lucky enough to get to meet each other face to face for the first time. Me and my parents flew over to Albany so I could meet Steve. As soon as he walked through the door of the hotel I was staying, my nerves started up. He walked up and I remember saying "you have a face", to which he replied "what did you think I would be, a hologram?" and within 5 minutes of being with each other, it felt right. I felt immediately comfortable and couldn't stop smiling. Fast forward to August 2012 and on the night before I was going back home from having another visit to Steves, I of course was not wanting to go home. I was a mess. And he sat down beside me on the bed we shared, and whispered in my ear "don't worry, you can go home with a fiancé". I turned round and he repeated and asked me to marry him!! The Wedding planning itself was quite easy, the marriage visitor visa was a bit of a nightmare. 10 days before the Wedding Day, I didn't even know if the Wedding was going to take place because Steve still didn't have his Visa at that time. It took quite a few phonecalls from me in floods of tears asking what was going on. Finally, he got the Visa in the nick of time and the Wedding was ago! He arrived here on March 11th, and we had the most amazing Wedding on Friday 13th March 2015. We then had an incredible honeymoon starting out in Edinburgh and then having a week in Dublin, Ireland. He's now returned home because of work and now I'm beginning the Spouse Visa application process so I can move to the USA to be with him permanently.
