An Update to my case:
1. 12/2017 - Filed I-751
2. 02/2019 - Filed N-400
3. 06/12/2019 – Interview Notice for N-400 (schedule: 07/19/2019)
4. 06/17/2019 – Sent letter about my pending I-751 and requested for a combo interview
5. 06/25/2019 - Interview notice for I-751 (acknowledged my letter of request for a combo interview)
6. 07/19/2019 - Combo Interview. 8:30 am was for I-751, Officer only asked my husband on his birthdate and our address then he let him stay outside the waiting room while I had my testing for the N-400 at 9am.
7. 08/16/2019 - Oath Ceremony
What a journey it has been!

it took me 10 attempts before i got hold of a different ring tone... i would hang up each time i hear "all operators are busy" ....
out of 30 minutes - less than a minute with the first operator, who checks and say our case was received and another 2 minutes to the lady who gave our case number.... the music made me sleepy

Good day fellow March filers! beneficiary here from Dubai
Just an update… My fiancé (petitioner) finally received the RFE by mail on April 20th and it says “Intent to Marry. Submit evidence from the beneficiary, that she plans to marry you within 90days of her admission to the United State. Evidence of the beneficiary's intent may be a statement, wedding preparations or other evidence that clearly establishes her intent to marry”.
What I don't get is that we already submitted an original signed letters from both of us (separately)... maybe they lost mine??? Or maybe because i used the simple template here in VJ? My fiancé’s letter was different coz he was one who communicated to possible local church and reception venue in Hawaii so he included those to his letter upon initial filing.
Anyway, i have sent yesterday via UPS a revised letter of intent, added some sugary and flowery words
i have also attached my certificate of no marriage (as an evidence preparing for the wedding). i have also requested my cousin-in-law in Hawaii to sign a statement that she accompanied my fiance when they met a parish priest to inquire requirements for a simple church wedding ceremony...Hopefully the docs will reach my fiance on the 24th April and reply to them asap and praying too that docs prepared are enough for the RFE.

RFE is not the worst thing in the world. The good news is that someone has looked at your file. It takes a few days to get the letter inthe mail and that's the annoying part because you are in mystery what is wrong until you get it. On ours, it was for the dating site issue and I sat for 4-5 days wondering what was wrong and knew that everything else on the the application and documentation was right and OK. In yours, it interesting because you didnt meet on a dating site.
From what I have seen, the RFE will delay the process about a month - between waiging for the letter, a quick response for the petitioner and then their approval. Not a big deal in our case because we were looking at POE in late September/Early October and if things went normal it would have been late May/Early June. My fiancee's documents will arrive Monday by DHL and I can send the packet on Monday and it will be at CSC Tuesday. If all gooes well, we are still looking at a possible Mid/late June POE

thank you also for the uplifting words. just a little disappointed on getting an RFE despite doing the packet together, when we traveled to Philippines last Feb-March for a month vacation...We are praying now for a minor RFE.All the best on your RFE and speedy process after

An RFE is a good thing, it means someone picked up your file. Especially as early as 14days after NOA-1.
I would be thrilled for an RFE, but my case will likely be collecting dust for another three months.
Wait for the letter, should be there in a week and send them what they ask - come back and ask for advice if you are unsure. Upon RFE receipt, you are very likely to get your approval within a month.

a not so good update for our papers... after a few days of not checking in our status in uscis, as it was always the usual no update page... i just checked today and found out an RFE is on the way
Now i wonder what it will be. my fiance (petitioner) and i have not met on a dating site. He was married once but we have included the divorce decree. And we have reviewed the packet a dozen times
Oh well... many things on my head now will they speed up our process once we send back their requirements? Can't wait for the mail to arrive. how long does it take??will wake up my man later on the wrong side of the bed... challenges! Challenges!
On the other note, congrats to those who received their NOA2.

My fiance just sent the packet yesterday from Hawaii... I am from the Philippines and working here in Dubai, UAE.
